Happy hour
Lindsey B.

Great new sports pub in West Ashley! Came here to watch some football with friends and sat at bar. We split the Smashburger and the Korean barbecue both were so yummy! The server recommended the old bay aïoli and will be added to my default order from now on. You can choose between shoe string fries, or waffle fries, and both were delicious. They have a wonderful happy hour with cheap wing options which I will definitely be coming back for. The food comes out very quickly and no lack of servers around. They have tons of TVs so plenty of viewing options if you're a sports fan. The parking lot is behind the Lowe's so a little weird coming in but plenty of parking options.

We had a wonderful lunch here. Valerie was our server and she was super attentive and very patience as it was our first time visiting. The appetizer sampler was yummy. The aioli sauce with the cheese curbs was so savory. The buffalo sauce for the wings was also on point. The burger was good, but I do feel the sauce they had on the burger is what made the sandwich yummy and the shoestring fries were cold. However, the sweet flakes fries were really fresh, great texture, and completely delicious. We enjoyed the laid back burger joint vibes of the restaurant and we'll def be back to try the pretzel and other burgers!

We arrived on a Saturday night around 7 and were seated right away. Our server arrived within 5 minutes and she was very friendly and attentive. We ordered drinks and they were brought to us within a few minutes. I ordered a beer and my wife ordered a Mango Mai Tai. She really enjoyed that cocktail. Popcorn was brought to us and I don't remember ever having popcorn brought to the table like some places bring bread, chips and salsa, etc. interesting. My wife and I split the chargrilled meatloaf sandwich on Texas toast with fries. Our son ordered the Bodacious Bourbon Burger with fries. Our food arrived in less than 10 minutes. Everything was hot and fresh. The meatloaf sandwich with onion straws was delicious. Hot and tasty. Not a huge fan of shoestring fries but they were also hot and fresh. Our son loved his burger but it is a messy meal. Service was fantastic and we really enjoyed the atmosphere and food. Lots of TV'S so I could watch the Braves game while eating. A great experience for us at Underground Chucks. I recommend.

Underground Chuck's near Roper St Francis Hospital (the old O'Charleys location) is hopping, solid laid back atmosphere!! I am so glad this new restaurant is here, it is definitely a solid option to watch sports with lots of TVs around the restaurant!! The food is amazing with a compact Menu it has variety with concise choices very smart for restaurant only been open since November 2025! I love the fried cheese curds, meatloaf sandwich, bodacious bacon burger and the pimento patty melt (you can substitute different cheese)! All fantastic choices!! Easy 5 Stars !!

Nice place. We sat in a heavy traffic area near the take out area. The lace is well staffed. Nice bar area . Friendly staff.Fish sandwiches may need a second piece of fish, the filet was thin, but cooked perfectly. The sweet potato fries were excellent. Staff was very helpful.

Fish sandwich and Brussels. The Brussels were good, not so much on the fish sandwich. It was cute how they branded the bun.

It was just okay. The Brussels were good, or so much on fish sandwich. My friend had loaded potato Ali s. They looked like they came out of the box.

We tried Underground Chucks for the 1st time tonight and really enjoyed everything! Our server, ZAC, was very friendly and knew the menu well. We ate burgers and I have to say the $7 happy hour burger with shoestring fries lands in my top 5 best! The Paloma cocktail was very good too. We will definitely be back. Very clean. My only suggestion is some greenery. Live plants in the archways would really be nice.

We came in on a Friday around 5:45pm and things were already pretty busy. We grabbed 2 seats at the beautiful bar and were immediately greeted by the staff. They have Happy Hour Monday - Saturday from 4-6 so we just made it. The charcuterie inside the repurposed wine bottle is such a fun idea. The meats and cheeses and nuts and crackers were delicious. The serving was quite large for a happy hour app. We started with glasses of prosecco and a chilled red which were on the happy hour menu as well. Melissa was behind the bar and she is AMAZING! Once happy hour was over and we learned there was live music from 7-9 we pretty much decided we were staying all night. Melissa made sure we never felt rushed. Honestly it felt like sitting in a cafe in Europe where enjoying a bottle of wine with friends is supposed to take time and never be quick. She helped us pick a bottle of sparkling rosé and it was very very good. And the price point was so reasonable. They have an extensive wine list and seriously the prices range from $23-$100+ so there's something for everyone. Once the music started we ordered the Sopressata and hot honey flat bread. It was great to share and the flavor was wonderful. It took a little while to come out of the kitchen, but Melissa made sure to check in and let us know. The space itself is so fun. There's a huge bar and a couch with comfortable chairs and tables along the wall. They also offer a small number of patio seats right outside. It got really crowded and reservations were almost a must. Another side note, the bathrooms are so nice. They're clean and well decorated and stocked with everything you could need from feminine products, to mouthwash and more. This spot is seriously a must visit! And I really appreciate their social media and website being up to date with all the specials and events going on. They have live music several nights per week and they also do classes like paint and sip nights. I cannot wait to go back!

Each visit has been consistently great, making it a reliable staple regardless of what I'm in the mood for. Head bartender Derek puts incredible thought, intention & detail into each cocktail he creates and we love sitting at the bar and watching him work his magic. I've never had a bite I didn't love at this spot either. The food is incredible & the chef + team in the kitchen are passionate about what they do. I always wondered why they didn't advertise more -- but it's clear that they don't need to. This place speaks for itself.

Both portion sizes were average at best. Sadly, the flavors in both dishes were equally disappointing! The drunken noodles were not comparable to a traditional Thai version and lacked the flavor and authenticity I was expecting. The service was fair, but spending $50+ before tip for an otherwise average meal is steep, even for a downtown restaurant. I'm sure the cocktails are still good, but after the cost of the meal, we decided to skip them! Unfortunately, I left disappointed and wouldn't return.
