Me and my mother ordered plates 1 and 3 (separately) and we both were surprised by how delicious the food was! Especially the spicy barbecue sauce! We loved it so much but I felt like my mother loved it more because she wouldn't stop saying by how good the sauce was! Definitely worth a stop for some ribs and brisket. May I also say that the Mac and cheese was very good and so was the potato salad! Although the Mac and cheese had few pieces of macaroni that was a little under cooked but it really wasn't too big of a deal. read more

Decided to finally give this bbq place a try. And I'm glad I did. I order three, three meat place for my family, with brisket, sausage, turkey, ribs and carnitas. Everyone really enjoyed all the meat and the potato salad. We tried the Mac and cheese and beans as well as the coleslaw. If I had to critique anything, this is we're I would. I think baked bean would have been better then charros and coleslaw wasn't good. But again the meats and potato salad are amazing and that's all that really matters to me. I have now experienced Uncles BBQ. Next! A little pricey, by about a buck/buck-fifty more than I would expect to pay for a number of items on the board. Brisket was not great (not the worst I've ever had and hence 3-stars instead if 1), and I'm pretty sure it is parboiled with some actual smokey flavor from the pit. You do leave out of the place with your clothes smelling like BBQ smoke, so some real, 100% pit BBQ'ing is going on somewhere. That's good. The fried rice side was way too salty, not very edible and should probably come off the menu of a BBQ joint. Just get rid of it. You should probably try the place to see for yourself how it compares to the various BBQ places you may have tried; as for me, I've been eating BBQ for over 50 years (for the record, my dad made some of the best but he never sought to own a restaurant to sell his delectable delights, yet many people do these days who shouldn't). I know what I like and don't like of foods I have tried. I won't be returning to Uncles, but glad that I at least tried it. Hate not knowing if I am going to like something or not, so I like to experience many different foods from many different restaurants to find what I like and will return to buy. I have now experienced Uncles BBQ. Next! Oh, I will say this...for those of you who like City Meat Market BBQ in Giddings, you will absolutely LOVE Uncles BBQ in Tomball. I gave CMM BBQ 1-star. Just ordered via Door Dash. This place isn't far and the food arrived quick. I expect it to be hot or at least warm. Nope, cold food. The warmest thing was the fries and beans(at least from touching the outside). Turkey has good flavor, just was cold. Ribs and brisket is meh....I've had way better. The mac n cheese is out the box with bacon bits. Potato salad was decent and fries has a good seasoning on it. Skinny ribs lacking meat like they take some off for another dish they make. Uncle's BBQ is not your typical BBQ place. It's a great privately run place that has tasty BBQ with a little bit of a twist. I got the three meat plate and everything was fresh and flavorful. The brisket and turkey were tender. The real highlight to me was the smoked carnitas. I've had carnitas lots of places, but here they're some of the best. The carnitas has some smokiness and seasoning unlike I've had anywhere else. I could see them being great on a potato or in tacos and I'll have to come back and try them that way. I really enjoyed the seasoning, but couldn't quite place it. The owner came out to see how everything was and told me a little bit of the story of this place and it's history. He described it being how he would like to do BBQ. It's like he was cooking BBQ at home, with a little bit of a Mexican twist. I couldn't come up with a better way to describe it. It's a wonderful place and I'll definitely be back. Try them, you won't be disappointed! read more

Really enjoyed this BBQ spot it had all the sides and goods of BBQ spot but with a bit of a Texmex twist. Everything we had we enjoyed. The three meat plate with street corn and Mac an cheese was good, my brisket tacos were amazing. It blew my mind. It was bbq with a Mexican food twist. Son had the burger and fries and it was delicious. It was so good we had to have dessert and enjoyed the pecan pie and the vanilla pudding. The apple crisp was good too. Definitely recommend and enjoyed our visit. We will be back. The customer service was great and we saw several people come and pick up. I waited until we got three DoorDash orders before leaving a review. First off, their pulled pork is the best I've ever had in my life. It is perfectly flavored and they give you a bunch. Each time, I ordered the three meat plate with turkey, brisket and pulled pork. The two sides were potato salad and charros which were both incredible. I could make a meal out of the charros alone. The turkey was great too and the flavoring on the moist brisket was out of this world delicious. A surprising note for me was the bbq sauce which was wonderful. The reason I only gave four stars was because my second order was missing several things like the charros, the bbq sauce and the salsa that I ordered. If the owner is reading this, you almost lost a customer because no one checked to see if the order was correct. Times are tough right now for all of us and we have to pay tips and lots of extras to have it delivered. All it takes is a couple of seconds to look over the order and make sure it's correct. I'm glad I gave you a try again and I will definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone I know. read more

First experience was getting take out. Their sampler was superb! We opted for fatty brisket, pork ribs and turkey--all of which were moist and delicious! The potato salad was yummy, however, the charro beans was terribly spicy which was a turn off that caused the 4 out of 5 star rating. We'll definitely be back for more BBQ! We were totally surprised by this place. It's next to a convience store so the front really doesn't tell you much. We ordered the pulled pork, green beans and fries. My husband got the brisket and turkey and sausage. All the meats were awesome. We saw lots of people coming in for take out. Very , very surprising as to how good this was , I ordered brisket and ribs with their original sauce, green beans and potato salad . The brisket was SUPER DUPER TENDER, melted in my mouth with ease , the ribs were a tad bit tough but still good . Green beans were made with okra???? Ok surprisingly, lucky I liked okra too and the combo taste was great. I do believe you need to advertise that just in case others like my husband who hates okra would be aware , on to the salad...... ummm it was the only thing I didn't enjoy . Went there hungry...Ordered the 2 meat plate Moist Brisket and Sausage. Received a plate with 3 slices of Brisket and a small piece of Sausage (very thinly sliced). 2 pieces of the brisket had so much fat I sent ti back and they gave 5 small slices. the Brisket ha a small smoke ring but, no real taste. The brisket was lightly smoked, they didn't use any Hickory, and was apparently, oven cooked. The Sausage is just generic, nothing special. The sauces, regular and spicy are watery light on flavor and the spicy, is not spicy. The sides I ordered were Coleslaw and Potato Salad, nothing special. One thing I do want to mention is that, the service was GREAT. The staff are friendly and accommodating.
