We ordered fajitas for two. The chicken was delicious, juicy and perfectly cooked. The steak was over marinated in wine, underdone and chewy . The rice was bland and the beams were lukewarm. Uncle Julio's Arlington is one of my favorite spots to go relax and chill! Every time I visit, I sit at the bar and not once have they never let me down with providing excellent customer service and great quality of food and drinks. Dustin, as a matter of fact the entire bartender staff is simply amazing!!! They make the most bomb cocktails, food, and provide top notch customer service! I've experienced a couple of situations were I wasn't pleased with the food; example the ceviche I ordered was a little salty and Dustin immediately responded and took the dish back to the kitchen and they quickly remade it and it was prefect. I didn't have to speak with a manager or complain, they put the upmost value around ensuring you are pleased and have a great experience overall. 2nd food situation was I ordered the bomb a** delicious nachos, however it took forever like 45 minutes for them to come out. I notified Dustin and the other young lady who was bartending (I forget her name) and they quickly resolved the situation. Granted it was an extremely busy / crowded day due to the holiday (Cinco De Mayo) so I understand the circumstances and mistake made however not only after I asked them about my dish did it come out within 5 minutes (delicious my I add) but they took the dish off my tab without me having to speak to a manager or ask. Granted I experienced these 2 small issues, the excellent customer service, food, and cocktails out weigh those one off situations. The bartenders / servers pay special attention to each one of their guests and they make sure you are happy, satisfied, and having a great experience. The atmosphere is simply amazing and inviting for every occasion and the restaurant is new, beautiful, and super clean! I will continue to be a regular at Uncle Julio's Arlington!! This place has the best fajitas. I always get the chicken and steak fajitas at lunch and they are top notch. The steak is cooked to your request (I do medium well). Don't forget to try their homemade corn tortillas, the taste and the texture are unbelievable. I wish I had some right now. read more

Dropped by Uncle Julio's for Happy Hour (M-F from 3-6 PM) on their Opening Night and enjoyed some delicious margaritas by the bar! The bartenders were so sweet and accommodating. Definitely will have to come back to indulge in the delicious foods; loved the lively atmosphere. read more

Our experience started w a hour wait we were fine with considering the positive feedbacks we have gotten from friends. After 30 minutes of waiting realizing later parties being seated we asked the host why for her to tell us she never put us on a waitlist but we could be seated right then if a high top was okay we agreed and got sat however we had to ask a handful of employees for a sling because our baby sat on the floor a good while before we found one ourselves. Party of 8 trying to make it as easy as possible we order mostly fajitas for two. When our food is ready they tell us "our tortilla machine is broke, corn is better then nothing" and walk off. We sat for a good 15 minutes before they brought us a total of 4 tortillas for 3 orders of fajitas for TWO. A whole fajita plate for two got cold waiting for tortillas so we asked the server to warm it back up for us as the meat was literally cold . They threw the meat on a sizzling cast iron and threw a scoop of unmelted butter on the top and brought it back out to us still cold. The only decent part of the experience was the bar but the only reason we ordered so much is because we couldn't eat . We asked for a a manger for a lady to come saying "she wasn't a manager but was training in training" for her to come back and give us a discount on our food. However didn't offer a fresh plate or a different enteee for that matter so we just left hungry after 2 and a half hours of wrongs. read more

Great service and the food was delicious. Our waitress, Mauri, was very accommodating and patient in serving us. I ordered chicken fajitas and they were excellent! However, there was melted butter on the chicken, which most people like....but not me! So Mauri brought out another order without butter. All the other fajita trimmings were very good: rice, beans, guacamole, shredded lettuce, etc. The corn tortillas were some of the best I've had!! I ordered a top shelf margarita on the rocks....it was ok and rather costly for the size. Since I had already complained about butter on the fajitas....decided not to complain about the drink. It's hard to rate uncle Julio's.. have loved the food worth the Dallas and Fort Worth locations.. living in Arlington was excited to see one opening. Have been there maybe 5 times and no matter when you go, no matter the day, time or number of people in the lobby the wait for 2 is always 1 hour per the hostess. If you can't find a spot In The bar there is no reason to eat there unless waiting an hour for the same food you can get at pappasitos 5 miles away makes sense. Personally I would rather and will drive to the Fort Worth location 12 miles further. Better service, better atmosphere and managed better.. read more

First time here.. I ordered fajitas and was able to make like two tacos.. small portions for $30 fajitas. Drinks were delicious and strong definitely worth while! I have eaten here a few times & although the food is good, the service is ALWAYS terrible! At the higher prices than other Mexican restaurants, the service should be impeccable! My daughter went there a few weeks ago & had to wait almost 20 minutes to get someone to come to the table for drink orders. They never got refills. They asked for a manager & some man came but it turned out he was not a manager. I called the manager after she told me this & he basically blew me off. I would recommend NOT going to this restaurant. There are MANY others to choose from that have GREAT food AND GREAT SERVICE!! I highly recommend Danielita's or Mercado Juarez. read more

Horrible. We haven't had a restaurant experience this bad in years. We made a 2:15 reservation for 5 people and didn't get sat til 2:40. Several hostesses came to us saying they were "cleaning off a table" during the 25 minutes we waited. There were open tables everywhere the whole time. The manager even came over and said he was cleaning off the table. Other parties were sat while we were waiting that did not make reservations. The manager was rude and unprofessional. When we sat down our waiter started off good but after we got our food we never saw him again. We all wanted another round of drinks but we're unable to order them. The uncle Julio's in fort Worth is not like this one, we know what our experience should have been and it was far from it. The rude manager never came to check on us after we told the waiter how disappointed we were. It was my husband and daughter's birthday. Thanks for nothing, we will NEVER be back. read more

We've been so excited to come here since we knew this location was being built! The beef fajitas were delicious and My Mom enjoyed her taco salad too. Many thanks to our awesome server Caitlyn - she brought my picky mom refried beans for her taco salad and more than satisfied our requests for more small plates, more drinks and more tortillas!!! They dont use the uncle Julio app so don't waste your time. The hostess don't even realize there is in app. Food is delicious but the hostess and manager are a REAL problem. We called to see if they take reservations and was told no on the phone, only to arrive and find out otherwise. The manager said people make reservations atleast 2 days in advance. This place obviously has delicious food and is always very packed. My mom arrived and asked for a table for 7 but since the hostess only saw 2 people the buzzer rang and they were offered the table for 2 and the hostess argued my mom said a table for 2, neither manager nor the hostess seemed apologetic, and we continued to wait even longer for a bigger table...... they need better communication. The hostesses need to be better educated in the establishment they work for. The manager needs to educate his employees. read more

i ordered take out inside the restaurant. i waited 10 minutes to place my order, since two hostesses standing at counter canot do this job. and returned to chit chatting and back on their cell phones. Finally a waiter took my order. After 40 minutes of sitting I walked back to the kitchen to see where my order was! A very unfriendly manager came out and wondered what my problem was. One of our personal favorites. Well-decorated restaurant that's comfortable and inviting. Their chips and salsa are great and so is their queso. Good margaritas of all variations - skinny, jalapeño, house, you name it. They have very good beef fajitas and tortillas. The food was good and portions were large. We celebrated a birthday and chose the chocolate lovers pinata to celebrate the occasion.

My daughter-in-law called earlier in the week to make reservations for a party of 14 on a Sunday night at 6pm for my granddaughter's birthday dinner at the Arlington location. She was told they didn't accept reservations. Consequently we get there at 6 and are told there is an hour and a half wait. And find out that indeed we did need reservations. I spoke to manager to complain and he was no help at all. We will not return to this location! read more

Had lunch and our food was good. Our waiter and server were helpful and attentive. However, the front/greet staff are poor. It took over 10 minutes before someone came to the front desk. The manager strolled by indifferently several times and did nothing. Finally a waitress with faux braids and a gold, glittered mask came to the front, went around our group to attend to a young black woman that had just walked it. Eventually an indifferent reception person came and seated us. Having an indifferent and racist front of the house staff is no way to run a restaurant. read more

The hostess was so helpful we reserved a second visit with our entire Family! Our Server, Alejandro, was phenomenal! Personable, professional, attentive but never intrusive, he made sure our dinner was perfect! The food and drinks are perfection! You could tell everything was fresh and exceeded our expectations! My only complaint is that I always end up sitting at the bar because they are busy every single night and I can't wait that long for a table. I like Uncle Julio's. I typically go to the one in Grapevine. This is a nice restaurant with good food and pretty good service. The only problem I had today was their soda machine in the restaurant was out of carbon so your drink choices were limited. So instead of my typical DP, I opted for a strawberry daiquiri....(better choice) If you like Mexican food and don't mind paying a bit higher price then I would recommend here or Abuelo's...my 2 favorite picks. read more

Great atmosphere, great food with lots of flavor and spices. Enjoyed the chicken tamales and enchiladas. Queso was very good. Only problem is chips are so thin it is hard to dip queso. Love the check out ticket holders that eliminated waiting for server to process credit card. Server never touches your card. Quicker checkout and more secure. read more
