By the time you get up there to pay and get your drink cup, the food is already coming up. I ordered the pull pork plate with 2 sides and a drink for $11! Can't beat that price. The fries came out hot, the pork was juicy, and the greens flavorful. Doesn't come with sauce on it but there's plenty of options on the dressing table to pick from. The only downside is the parking situation... it's insanity, with folks here in work trucks, cars, motorcycles, you name it. The line just to get in the door can be long, but the staff does a great job of getting people in & out within the time of their lunch break. Pack your patience & give them a try!

I know people throw out places like Texas, the Carolinas and Tennessee as barbecue meccas, but I stand by my claim that some of the best barbecue comes from the great state of Alabama and Fatman's is great proof of my claim. I walked in and there was a line, but it moved fast and the helpless taking our our orders were friendly. The inside is pretty much low on ambiance, but the food is the real star here. Since it was packed inside, I got my food to-go and ate at a nearby park. I had the pulled pork plate with camp stew and potato salad. Everything was absolutely wonderful. I would definitely recommend here and I give it five stars.

I did get the banana bread pudding to go and I would say that it wasn't the best in taste (tasted artificial and sorta flowery and plasticly and the cream or whatever that was supposed to come with it tasted rubbery and thick). So I wouldn't recommend the banana bread pudding. But like I said everything else was good. They had seating inside and an outside veranda.

While staying at the casino we visited BB King's on a few occasions from lunch to drinks. Each visit we bellied up to or swung by the bar. For lunch we sat at the inside bar and grabbed a few plates to share along with cocktails. I went with the BBQ chicken nachos, which looked like a good portion size and were coated well with sauce, however they were extra stingy with the chicken. It must have been two tenders worth of chicken. The drinks were light pours, but decent for a casino drink...definitely better than what you got from the casino floor. Prices are as expected, nothing wild, but higher than your average spot given its location. Service was hit and miss with each visit. Sometimes they were on point, other times they were not. Overall, given your minimal options when at the casino, this place serves its purpose. I wouldn't come off the streets or out of my way to come here, but for what it is and where it is, it works.

I'd just flown into town and we were looking for breakfast. We found this place near downtown…read moreMontgomery. There was a small crowd there when we entered but it really began filling up while we were there. The restaurant offers breakfast entrees, sandwiches, and lunch items. The specials on the day that we went included smothered chicken and a funnel cake waffle. When I saw that, I assumed it was a twist on chicken and waffles. But, the lady at the cash register explained to me that those were two separate things. We ended up trying the smothered chicken and we got an order of chicken and waffles from the regular menu. The food came out quickly. The smothered chicken was a meat and two plate and okra and breakfast potatoes were the chosen sides. The waffle was cool and very dry. The fried chicken tenders were hot and juicy but they had absolutely no seasoning on them. I ended up eating one tender and half of the waffle before stopping. The smothered chicken didn't appear to be very "smothered". It also lacked seasoning along with the okra and home fries. The chicken tenders, okra, and home fries were all cooked well. This is a place where you pick up the menu, order at the counter, take a number, and find a table. The dining area is small but charming. We were hoping for really good food based on the reviews but it was still nice to try this place.
