We stopped by for lunch and went in and sat down. They were not super busy many less than half full. We got our drink and ordered our food. My salad came fast but I couldn't get a fork. This was about 12:50 so still lunch time. After waiting 5 mins still no fork. I asked someone else for a fork. Apparently they were no clean forks in this place. About that time our food came out with our appetizer. It's frustrating to order an appetizer and it comes out with your food. Then it's not and appetizer. It's part of the meal. The food was good as it has been in the past. Waiter seemed like she was new. They talked a lot with the hostess. Took a long time to get the check. I had to stand up and find someone to pay. They were just off talking and not paying attention to anything but new customers. At least it's good food but don't be in a rush. read more

Sushi Ro is my go-to lunch spot when I'm in the Montgomery area for work. The restaurant is clean with lots of natural light, and the service is always fast and efficient. The Bento Box has a wide variety of protein choices, and the beef bulgogi is my favorite. It's full of flavor and pairs well with the sautéed veggies and fried rice. It also comes with either miso soup or ginger salad (not pictured) and both are great choices. Big lunch for a small price! read more

Food is great service is great and prices are good. I'm a typical sushi lover I haven't tried anything exotic yet cause I'm scared and this place isn't an exception not saying this should be the exception but anyways the sushi was great I'm also glad they have multiple different sushi's that still have the basic ingredients but mixed in a different way I've tasted 8 different type of rolls and liked every one of them. Delicious food--all of the ingredients were VERY fresh and flavorful! We ordered a Poke bowl and a lunch special--both were excellent. This was a nice little sushi place to grab a bite. I was not disappointed with anything that I ordered. We were served our drinks fairly quickly and the food didn't take too long. Even though we came maybe 30 minutes before closing they welcomed us in and took our order. The sushi was delicious and the potstickers were scrumptious. I only wish that I had pictures to share. We didn't get refills but since it was close to closing we didn't hold it against the staff. read more

Omg great sushi and teriyaki! I highly recommend. The old Prattville roll was delicious and so was the teriyaki chicken. The portions were large Only negative- don't advertise poke on your main outdoor sign if you don't have it on your regular menu and only serve it for lunch during the week. I was extremely disappointed as that's why I originally went there. That makes no sense to me. read more

Upon the opening of this sushi bar, it was a breath of fresh air after tasting the Sunset Roll. Full of freshness with the lemon topping, but still the delightful sushi experience. However, with the passing months, the food has developed into a slimy and smelly mess. For example, the Spicy Tuna Roll looks to be made from Fancy Feast...see attached photo. We ordered Spicy Seafood Salad, 2 Eel hand rolls , 2 Spicy tuna hand rolls, and when the food came out the spicy tuna looked disgusting and tasted nasty. Oh and the Eel hand roll had a very small slice of Eel wrapped in this huge hand roll packed with rice. The service was also mediocre. We asked for Ginger and the waitresses asked if we wanted Ginger flakes? I looked at her confused because I never heard of Ginger flake's, so I said no thank you, regular Ginger would be just fine. She gave us a dipping sauce ‍ who knew Ginger slices are referred to as Ginger flakes. must be a Prattville, AL Sushi term. Either way we won't be returning back. read more

I had the shrimp shumai and the geisha roll today for lunch. The geisha roll was extremely fresh and tasty as was the dipping sauce it comes with. The shumai were nice little bite size nuggets of happiness. I was a little disappointed that the green tea was in the form of a popular tea bag, but it was okay nonetheless. My waitress and the hostess were both sweet. All in all a nice little break to be by myself for a little while. read more

What the heck is up with all the bad reviews? I was putting off coming here. It was amazing. Everything was fresh. The rolls were creative. I had so many different flavor profiles and any sushi lover knows that most places are just a variety of the same 8 ingredients. Didn't have a single unimpressive item. The staff was great. I'll have to pay attention to the hours because of the closure during my favorite time to eat (lunner). They even offered military discount. This is so close to the freeway and my house. I plan to come here FREQUENTLY which is probably ok because the rolls were affordable for the size. I've definitely been to worse places. read more

After my wife was sitting in the restaurant waiting for our order, for over an hour!, they apologized and said they HADN'T PUT IN THE ORDER!!!! THEN TELL HER ITS GOING TO BE ANOTHER 25 MINUTES. If you are a fan of Sushi Cafe in Montgomerh off Zelda Roll, you'll love this place. The spicy tuna is exactly like theirs. They even have the Daniel Roll here. All of our fish was fresh. I had the spicy tuna and a salmon hand roll. My daughter had the rainbow roll and she said it was delicious, the presentation was really beautiful. Interior is small but nicely decorated. I always get the Daniel Roll if I want something fancy and the Volcano roll is I'm going the cheaper rout and my husband gets the Beef bowl. Prices are regular sushi prices, but they do have the menus separated with some simpler (but still tastes) rolls that are cheaper. read more

I LOVE Sushi Ro! My husband and I eat here at least once a week. Not only is the food delicious, but it's not too bad for our wallets, either. Every time we eat inside, we have wonderful service and particularly enjoy Logan's! She is always bright and bubbly and makes us feel welcome. We went there at 2:00 today (they close at 2:30 to get ready for dinner). We asked up front if we were too late to eat and was told that we were fine. Evidently not because as soon as we had our drinks and placed our orders, the GM told the cashier to bring us our bill. The management sent her back over before we were through eating for our money. They said that the reason was so that they could close their credit card machine out. Most places would value your business enough to just roll your bill into the evening credit batch to avoid an unpleasant experience, but not here. The food was really great, and our server was too. We felt sorry for the server and the cashier as both seemed truly embarrassed by the way their leadership behaved. Sadly, the best food in the world isn't worth being treated poorly. We won't be back. read more

It is in a small strip center that appears to be populated mostly by finance companies and staffing agencies. It is a nice part of town, but not the best part of town. There is a nailed place and a Chiropractor I think. Let's get to the main event. The poke is awesome. I use brown rice as a base and then went with spicy tuna. I went large so I got four scoops of fish and let me tell you this was some really good poke. I added cucumbers, onions cilantro , pineapple, so mine had a really sweet flavor to it and I also had them put some tempura crunchy over the top of it. It was in my opinion the best bowl of poke I have ever had. That is saying something as I have had tuna poke all over the southeast And the West Coast and up the Atlantic seaboard. It is one of my favorite dishes. I think the fact that everything was ice cold, and the place was incredibly sanitary, added to my enjoyment. All of the vegetables were fresh. All of the fruit was cold. The fish was cold. The rice was the right consistency. Nothing was dried out, nothing was wilted, and everything tasted as it should. There were a lot of young people coming in having dinner, it's near an anytime fitness center so you do get to see a lot of fit young people that are enjoying a good healthy meal. They also have Ramen, it's a spicy Korean Ramen, which I wanted to have a small bowl of, but it only comes in one size bowl. It's not a huge, but it was more than I needed after having a large poke. I would go back again and again, this is my third trip to this restaurant in the last two years, I think it's a good place and I recommended.
