    Pastrami Reuben Sandwich
    Hannah M.

Bizarrely good and insanely cheap. We ordered a few things for breakfast the other day and all of them were way better than expected. We got the pierogies and eggs for around $9 and the Reuben with fries for $10. The pierogies were clearly made from scratch and were incredible. Even the toast was weirdly good? Clearly not your typical wonderbread. The fries were just the tiniest bit soggy but honestly I'll blame that on the delivery as opposed to a food quality issue. Hard to do fries well for delivery. The Reuben was tasty - would definitely order it again. All in all, wasn't expecting much from this place but everything was good and packaged well. Would absolutely order again.

Welcome to happy days! Uncle Bob's is a 60's throw back. Simple egg breakfasts in the morning and burgers in the afternoon. Culinary chefs need not apply. This isn't highbrow gourmet food, but solid Americana dining. I stopped in for a quick breakfast and they delivered. Hot coffee. Yes! Eggs properly cooked. Yes again. Crisp bacon. Jackpot. Buttered toast-hello carbs. The only weak thing was the hash browns. They were more like baked breakfast potatoes. Service was prompt. Prices are really a throwback, too, with 2 eggs starting around $4.50. 3egg omelets run a little more. If you ever had breakfast at a drug store counter back in the day, Uncle Bob's will take you back to those golden days.

Pastrami Reuben with house-made potato chips and cole slaw

Based only on a single visit, Uncle Bob's is a solid American diner breakfast spot. 3 stars if you're very critical, 4 stars if you're a normal person who wants some tasty food from a local small business. Exterior is a nice with outdoor seating. Well located with good parking. I went after lunch so it was pretty empty. ++ Light-feeling and airy, recent renovation/decor, bar seating. Clean. Service was friendly and fast. I ordered a pastrami Reuben on rye, plus an iced coffee, which is my go-to diner choice and the litmus paper from which I make broad judgements. Here it comes with cole slaw, house-made russet potato chips (!) and of course a pickle. ++ Said potato chips were excellent and went too quickly. I wish more eateries DIY'd the little stuff like this. As a pickle fanatic, 7/10 pickle. Somewhere between good and very good. + The cole slaw needed salt and pepper but truly nailed the sweet/sour balance. Cole slaw is a weirdly hit or miss side dish so I was very pleased - I think it's house-made but I didn't ask. -- Coffee was sub-par diner coffee, not strong or flavorful. They're not properly set up to serve iced coffee. Would like to see them buy some better/fresher beans to bring it up a notch. This is my biggest complaint. +++ Reuben was GREAT. Better than expected and a well crafted sandwich. Tasty components, excellent ratios, full of goodies. Even though service was fast it was assembled neatly. Not leaky, falling apart or even in need of a paper wrapper. Would have enjoyed slightly toastier bread. 100% intending to return to try out the wraps and salads. Nice work.

Came for breakfast for the first time. I will say the inside was nicer than I expected but the food was worse than I expected based on the ratings. As for the food it's a no for me. The hash browns were extremely greasy I could barely eat them even after dabbing them. The pierogis must've been Mrs. T's frozen pierogis they tasted the exact same. Granted I do like that brand. The fruit cup didn't taste fresh it was all soggy. The bacon egg and cheese sandwich was mediocre. The only good thing really was the pricing. I don't think I would come back to this place unfortunately.

Food: Get the French toast croissant!!!! I've never had anything like it...such a genius concept! We ask ordered omelettes and crepes. Everything was really good! I also really liked their coffee! Staff: The waitress was hilarious. She really gave you the vibe of a mom n pop spot. I also forgot my credit card there and they kept it secure until I was able to realize I left it there and picked it up. Ambiance: It literally looks like a hole in the wall spot when you drive up to it, which is what I love about it. It's authentic.

This is a perfect example of an amazing mom and pop restaurant. They were friendly accommodating, and the food was absolutely amazing.

A diner like those of us who were aware in the 70s remember it - but with finer ingredients, better coffee, and even better service :-).

The Sunny Side dish pictured usually comes with hollandaise sauce but I don't care for it so requested it not be added. My husband had a Meat Lover's omelette but started eating before I could snap a picture. He said it was very good. My daughter had the Californian subbing crispy tots for the sweet potatoes. One of her favorite dishes here. Love this place and will definitely return!

The aioli was delicious and went well with the tots. The sunny side comes with a hollandaise so I figured poached eggs would go best. The eggs were perfectly runny. My two complaints: I could have used a bit more hash browns under the eggs. I asked for a side of toast because there weren't enough potatoes to soak up the yolk with. The hollandaise has good flavor but arrives a bit watery and foamy. It also seems like they serve unsalted whipped butter? I could be wrong but my buttered toast was bland. Overall, I will definitely come again. The coffee was good, there are other dishes I want to try, and our server, Meikhi was so nice and attentive. He's very personable and matched the energy of each of his tables.

But they also have a nice Mexican food menu, which is what my husband ordered and he really loved all the tacos and nachos he got--he was talking about them the next day! Greeted warmly by our server, the coffee was served and it was fresh and delicious. I drink mine in black and I could taste the flavors. Some of the best coffee I've had in a long time. Diner style and delicious. I ordered the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich on an English muffin. The egg was perfectly fried, along with the white American cheese, and tasteful bacon. Unfortunately, the bacon missed the mark, as it wasn't crispy. It was soggy. And the English muffin was very small and un toasted. It seemed to me like it was microwaved. How can you not toast an English muffin? So the sandwich itself was not solid whatsoever. But looking around at the breakfast platters, they look delicious and all of my friends seem to enjoy what they ordered. So just a quick note to the owners and the chef and the cooks, toast, the damn English muffin, please! Crispy bacon would be nothing out of the ordinary to ask This place is solid, looking around at the different orders for breakfast, I look forward to returning again and giving it another shot

Everyone here looks like they work cohesively, everyone is smiling working hard . Coffees always refilled. Food- fantastic, always fresh, on point. Their hash browns are also amazing! ... while we like the shredded we LOVE the fried- like mini French fries. While all of their proteins are awesome - their turkey bacon deserves a special shout out because it often misses the mark at most places.. but not here .
