US Postal regulations are very clear that one ffl and ship a handgun to another ffl via priority mail. I have had this done numerous times. J&G needs to educate their workforce on several levels. It is a small shop with a HUGE collection and selection of firearms. Jim and his very capable crew frequently reset the store and you get to discover even more hidden gyms! Others can write the book on any number of firearm aspects, especially when it comes to customer service. Bucky O'Neill Guns has excellent customer service. They have a small staff that can assist the firearm owner with non-major work on their firearms. They will mount scopes and get you "on paper." They also have an excellent selection of handguns, both pistols and revolvers. Whether new or used, I've never seen a kludgey firearm that passed its prime mechanical state decades ago. They have some really cool stuff. Great to look through while you're awaiting your turn at the register. What impresses me most is the knowledge of those who work there. Talking with Mark or Jim always results in learning more about firearms... they know their stuff. No "Bravo Sierra." Two downsides: they're a small shop. They can order most everything and get it quickly -- and if they can't, you'll know about it: no empty promises. The second downside: almost always, in more cases than not, I leave with less money than I had when I entered the store. Still trying to figure out why...

I came here because none of the other local sporting goods stores carried Thermacells. I'll give them 2-stars because they had the product in stock and after asking three employees, the last one finally knew what I was talking about. Price of Thermacell at Dicks was a few percent over MSRP just like most of their inventory. I'm guessing their overhead is fairly high as any of their locations charge above and beyond MSRP. Even their "sales" aren't really sales. Like I said, I only came here because I needed a Thermacell. The girl running the cash registered was terribly inconvenienced that I had to purchase an item and interrupt whatever-the-hell-it-was-she-was-pretending-to-do. No idea why anyone would shop here.
