I purchased a Taurus GX4 from Pawn Palace. I went home to check the Taurus website for warranty…read moreinformation. The Taurus website asked me to provide the serial number. I was then informed that the firearm has been on recall since 2023. I now have to ship the gun back to Taurus and wait 3-6 weeks to get my weapon back. I also have to pay the shipping and wait to be reimbursed for that, too. I called Pawn Palace to inform them that they sold me a firearm on recall without informing the buyer. I was told by the owner that, "The gun was used." He then stated that "we sell guns on recall all the time." He then said it was an "optional recall. Just send it back to Taurus." How about Pawn Palace send it back for me? They sold me the defective gun. "Optional Recall"? On a handgun! It's not a weed eater. You REALLY don't want to be walking around with a defective GUN!! People could get hurt. It was easy to find that the gun has been on recall for two years. To sell me the gun without informing me that the gun was on recall is just shady business. The majority of the staff at Pawn Palace are wonderful people. The gentleman that I assume is the owner is not a very nice man. He looks like the father from "The People Under The Stairs". I don't mean that as an insult, it's just the best way I can describe him. I have purchased two firearms at Pawn Palace. I have always redeemed my Pawn tickets. The business has profited from my visits and I am always respectful. The owner seems to detest me. He acts like he's disgusted by me. He looks at me like he'd almost rather throw me out of the store than take my money. I have no idea WHY! I tolerated it because Pawn Palace is the town of Cottonwood. I put up with it long enough. I have to make one more visit to Pawn Palace to retrieve some belongings, but that will be the last time.

I have never purchased a firearm directly from them. They have an "ok" selection. I feel like their selection of pawn products far outweighs their firearms selection (as it should be since they are a pawn shop). I usually walk around and check their prices of pawn merchandise while waiting on them to finish my transfer paperwork and for the most part I feel like their prices are decent. But as with all used items; they are only worth what someone is willing to pay, so the prices are subjective and I don't have an opinion on them one way or another. The customer service is always great. The owner and employees are always attentive and when they are not super busy I am always greeted promptly upon entering. It's nice that they have situational awareness of who is in their store since they sell firearms and ammunition. I will continually use them for all of my FFL transfer needs, and in the event that they ever have anything on their shelf that I am interested in, I would not hesitate to purchase it.

If you're overly sensitive and take it personally if not immediately recognized, sigh..now J&G, ahh, won't go there... right, see how it works..i overheard a conversation about a used and valuable gun purchase, so I don't go..things are personal..but Mazy's has always been really decent to my old bones. Just happened to come across this place while we were in town. The jeep and humvee with a mounted…read moremachine gun caught our attention. Also, noticed they had an outdoor axe throwing target and decided to go inside. As we stepped inside it wasn't too busy. It was clean, nicely lit and was very organized. The staff was friendly, and knowledgeable. They had a variety of guns, and for kids they had GoatGuns and other items. They had a bathroom for customers which was well kept and clean. I didn't have time to actually go axe throwing or go to the shooting range but plan to next time I'm in town.
