Yes, Bill is a fixture. Practically everyone in the Indusrty knows him, he is real . . (84 years old) . . and yes, he can be a grouchy old curmudgon at times . . Most of law enforcement around the state is familiar with him and knows him personally. His background reads like a novel, both military and law enforcement experience that has earned respect the hard way amongst people who know how that works . . the real deal. He is fair and honest . .he doesn't gouge, he doesn't cheat. He is an encyclopedia of knowledge on nearly everything so don't challenge him unless you've got your facts straight . . he doesn't suffer fools mildly. . ain't no way, ain't no how. DO NOT CUSS in the store or you will be shown the door (like you were James D. San Francisco) be respectful and Bill will treat you the same . . usually better. Bill has everything obscure you are looking for . . more "stuff" than even NUMRICH ARMS has in their inventory. If he doesn't have it by chance, a phone call will get it on its way to him. Manufacturers , wholesalers, vendors, know him and trust him completely, thay don't even ask for a purchase order . . they just send him what thay think he might want or need and bill him for it .. He is seldom , if ever, cheated by anyone who knows or does business with him. His mind is as sharp as a tack, and his day starts at about 3:30 am. . he doesn't even need or use readers ! . .( good grief!) My wife and I are new to the area and both enjoy shooting. On a day off we decided to visit all the gun stores in the area. Upon recommendation from a neighbor we visited Bill's. Store is nothing to look at on the outside but the inventory and staff knowledge more than make up for the appearance. Biggest supply of reloading supplies and equipment that we saw. Bill was extremely helpful in that we are just starting to reload and he took the time to explain what we needed and what we did not need. We enjoyed the conversation with he and his wife to the point the store had been closed for about an hour and we did not know and they were not trying to push us out.
