We have been shopping at Prescott cal ranch for a long time. Getting Chicks for our flock to clothes and ammo, you name it. This is our favorite store ever. Especially the guys in firearms and ammo. Jeremy and the crew are the best, super helpful, knowledgeable about all the products and just good people. I want to thank all the staff at CAL Ranch for the exceptional customer service and professionalism. BTW I just picked smartwool socks on clearance! Picked up enough pairs for the rest of my life. read more

Great store! The staff was super friendly and helpful. Prices were great and there was a large selection.

I like going to CAL Ranch because it's a one stop shop for all your needs. I love looking through the store and seeing what they have that's new for pets for your yard for camping, clothing shoes, and more. Staff greet you in a kind of friendly manner when you walk in and the store is always neat and tidy. It's always a pleasure to visit the store and look around at all the different and new items they have to offer. I love the store so much that It's so difficult to leave without buying anything. read more

LOVE this store. Great products and even better people. The team members are always around & very helpful whenever needed. I could spend hours in this store each week, and still not get bored. Highly recommend CAL Ranch. Their selection, service, and value are all top notch. read more

I had a great experience at the Prescott Cal Ranch, mainly because of the guy working the front counter. The cashier was incredibly nice, patient, and genuinely helpful from the moment I walked in. He took the time to answer my questions, made sure I found what I needed, and had a really positive attitude the whole time. It honestly made the entire visit better and easier. Customer service like that goes a long way, and he definitely represents the store well. I'll absolutely be coming back because of experiences like this. read more

I prefer this location over the Prescott Valley location. Store is stocked with quality clothing including other household and farm items. Prices are reasonable. Staff is friendly. CAL sells name brand items. Lots to choose from. Fun store. read more

Good range of camping, hunting, fishing gear, firearms, and ammunition at reasonable prices. Store is kept very clean. Sales and support staff are very good to exceptional, are very helpful. Excellent customer service and support. read more

Wonderful people working there. Great prices on sale items and they usually have what you need.

It's a decent sized western store in Prescott AZ. I was looking for cute women's decorative cowboy boots. They have boots, but they are not fancy or decorative cowboy boots for women. Their selection is more for daily wear or work wear. read more

I am not a rancher. Nor a cowboy. But like John 5, guitarist for Marilyn Manson, I was greatly influenced by watching Country Music television shows such as "HeeHaw" and "The Grand Ol Opry" as a kid. So, I can trace my obsession with fancy Men's Western Wear back to those little boy days. Yes, Porter Wagner, I blame you for the way I dress. This is why I shop at C-A-L Ranch Store: Western Wear. While they don't carry the embroidered Rockport or Skully jackets and shirts, they do carry a nice assortment of Pearl Snap dress shirts, vests, and hats by ELY, Rock 'n' Roll Cowboy, and other top brands. The prices are not discounted every day, but the clearance sale prices make it worth keeping an eye out for them. Sadly, over the last couple years the inventory has decreased. Another problem is the store is a disaster. All the displays are a mess. There is stuff lying on the floor. Boxes of merchandise sit in the aisles with the tops open. Basically, no one cares what the place looks like. I'm surprised that a corporate chain has let things decline so badly. Unless the corporation is dying. Wait... JCPenney at the mall is starting to look like this... uh, oh! - - I you feel this review is Useful, Funny, or Cool, please check the boxes below. :) Thanks! read more

Good selection and service. Had everything that I needed. Won't hesitate to go back again.

At first glance you don't really think it's a cal ranch store, I walk into it and I feel like I'm in the '70s, the floors are terrible The ceilings are low and very few people say hello. Anyway, I sure am glad that the new store open to Prescott Valley. I was hoping that new store was going to replace the old one. Have a great New Year everyone Happy shopping! read more

Big rip off false advertisement and over priced for the type of product they have. Yeah like they're doing you a favor but they're not read more

If you are a country bumkin farm/ranch boy like me you will love this store too. So if you are a farmer/rancher, cowboy, have acreage with horses, etc. you will want to check it out. Your wife will like coming too. They are in the old K-Mart store next to Safeway so it is a big place. This is one of 16 other stores in Idaho, Utah, Nevada and now Arizona. A store in Flagstaff due to open next week. They also offer charge accounts through GE Capital. Today was my first day in this store though it opened Nov '11. I was pretty amazed at the selection and range. It is like the old Co-op feed store, vet supply, pet store, hardware store, garden supply, western wear, and outfitter store all rolled into one location. They even have a good selection of John Deere tractor toys for the kids. Sometime I will do a price comparison to Walmart and Home Depot. I will give an update when I do. read more

I looked online and brought up a current coupon....the manager said she could not take it as it was not printed...i call BS!!! Everything is electronic in today's world...why is the coupon with scan bar online if the stores can not accept it!!??? Don't bother...go yo tractor supply they will work for your. The Prescott AZ store is absolutely the worst retail store in the US. The gun/sporting goods is great clothing selection fabulous, everything is great until you try, sometimes successfully sometimes not, to check out. That's where the incompetent morons take over, and do they. The funny thing is some of them have been there since the place opened so you would think they would have a clue. Don't ask any of them where something is. They probably know just don't want to be bothered. I swore off this craphole a year ago, but swung in today because my regular place was out of what I needed and I was close, and I couldn't believe the cretin who runs the place wouldn't fix the problems. Read the reviews most of the five stars are from "local guides" in other words paid for. The majority of the rest are one star not from local guides. You would think that someone in the management structure would realize that all the effort that goes into getting an otherwise great store to the point that this store is that all is for naught if the q customers put their purchases down and walk out because the clown show at the registers is out of control read more

I was pleasantly surprised by this store's selection of stylish ranchwear/ workwear for women. My only suggestion would be to stock more of the smaller sizes because Carhart field gear (especially the women's pants/ tactical work tights) tends to run a little large. read more

Went to buy a manure rake. Saw 2 tuff rakes with aluminum handles both marked $26.99. Got to the cash register with one of the rakes, only to be told that the price was $44.99!!!! They offered to sell it for $35, but wouldn't honor the large barcoded/ price sticker. Said it was part of a promotion back in December of 2020., so I was too late and therefore out of luck Extremely disappointed. They should have honored the price, since it was a CAL Ranch employee who never changed the price sticker!!! Bought a different brand rake for $19.99 read more

This is a great store. The clothing section is great, I've purchased Boots, Jeans, Shirts, and Belts here over the years. Always fair prices and good selection. I just bought some "out of season" outerwear for 70% off. I've also purchased tools, a rifle, ammo, and many other items. I'm writing this review mostly because of the multiple poor reviews written by others about poor service... I've always been treated well. I believe you get treated the way you treat others. There is not another store in town with Clothes, Hardware, Sporting Goods, Power Tools, Ranch Supplies. Let's support this store! read more

Wonderful store with a Western flavor. Many choices of clothing for ranch and everyday wear. Feed for your live stock and domestic pets.

Great store with Great Associates! Mostly in the firearm and ammunition section. Can't say enough about Noah, Jake, Sandy and Dave always helpful and friendly during this difficult Covid - 19 period! They make things worth while! read more

Assistant Managers Tim and Jake at the Prescott AZ location were very helpful with a difficult situation regarding a virtual gift certificate. I want them and their manager to know that they went above and beyond to help me. They were kind and courteous. I am grateful that this situation did not end poorly as I frequent this store and always enjoy shopping there. This one situation, if handled poorly, would have cost my patronage. Thank you for being the kind of business who values the customer. Wendy Chino Valley, AZ read more

I purchased a pair of Ariat boots for my husband Tuesday evening. Unfortunately he needed a bigger size. I returned them Thursday evening hoping to exchange them for his size. They did not have the boot in his size so I asked the clothing clerk representative if she could order the boot size that I needed. She told me that they do not place individual orders during the holiday season because if she did it for me, she would have to do it for others. I spoke with the manager and asked her the same question. The manager told me that she could transfer the boots from a store up north, but it would take from 6 - 8 weeks. She then told me she could order the boot, but I would need to pay the shipping fee. We have been buying clothes, dog food, dog beds, dog bones, tools, boots, ammo, etc., from Cal-Ranch since we moved to Prescott over two years ago. My husband and I support small businesses and we really enjoyed shopping at Cal-Ranch even though some of their prices are higher than other businesses. I will Never purchase another thing at Cal Ranch! If this is the way they treat their patrons, I would rather spend my money elsewhere. It was so disappointing. read more

C-A-L Ranch Stores - Guns & Ammo Near Me - Prescott, Arizona

Bill in the gun department must have been having a bad day or maybe he was upset that I was wearing a face mask when I asked him about ammo availability. Come to think about he wasn't wearing a mask. Most of the other store staff were wearing masks. So what is the stores policy for employees to wear masks? Regardless, I found Bill's behavior rude and unacceptable. I won't be going back for any merchandise in Bill's department. read more

I went to the gun section at 620 tonight the gun associate would not give me the time of day to busy visiting with someone about nothing after 20 minutes I left and went to Walmart and had great help people that have a job need to perform as professional I will not go back an will pass along my experience read more

I was having breakfast with a friend this morning and he showed me a jacket he had purchased at the C-A-L Ranch Store in Prescott AZ for $19.99. After breakfast I went to the store and found that jacket in my size. When a took it to the counter the sales person said it had been on sale but the sale ended yesterday. I asked her if she would honor the sale price and she refused. I understand that sales have ending dates and there is no guarantee that it would be honored. Many other retailers will honor an expired sale items for customer satisfaction, but apparently not C-A-L Ranch. read more

staff unfriendly i bought a pair of fairly expensive boots today (11 feb 18) at about 3:30pm. you'd think a store that's nearly empty on a weekend (not a good sign) would be happy to have the business, but no. young guy who rang us up was just really unfriendly and kind of passive aggressive, like he was a cop writing us a ticket rather than ringing up an order. made a face when my wife asked him to close a knife for her that she didn't know how to close, and then wordlessly tossed the knife back in the display bin. no response to my 'thanks' when he handed me the receipt. wow, i started to regret making a purchase at CAL Ranch and doubt i'll do so again. kind of put a damper on the valentine's gift (the boots) for my wife as outside, instead of a happy walk to the car, we were both like 'what was up with the crappy attitude in that place?' lastly, although the other staff who 'helped' us in the store were more communicative than the cashier guy, i can't say they were friendly. you definitely got the feeling that you were bothering them by being a customer and there was a kind of dismissiveness mixed with a bit of snark - like customers are just fools who wander in off the street and have to be tolerated. this is a classic sign of bad management in any store. you can tell there's no one guiding the staff and instilling a positive 'service mind'. it's such a simple thing to do in terms of creating a good company culture but when it's not done the effects are really obvious. anyway, have a look at the other bad reviews here and you'll notice something: there's not a single response from management. "the lights are on but nobody's home." read more

Great selection, prices vary, staff is always cleaning and very helpful. Just wish the had a magic factory to build more 22lr.

Don't think the store manager should be there. Yell's at his employees out on the floor for everyone to see. I would be embarrassed to worktl there. Only good manager there is Jim. Don't get me wrong they have good merchandise just managers need to learn how to treat their employees. Most of the employee the help me was wonderful read more

After purchase service is poor. The chain saw I purchased there broke the second time I used it. I was close to Flagstaff so I called that store when it happened, Sunday morning. The Tech. told me it could not be fixed in house. I had to go to point of purchase for repair shop referral. When I went to the Prescott store the asst. manager said he was sure his guy could fix it. I asked if I could just take it to the repair shop and was told no. I was told they would get to the next morning, at 4:30 pm the next day I call to get ahold of the repair tech. who called at 5:00 pm to tell me that they can't fix it I have to pick it up and take it to the repair shop which was close when I called there. I called corporate office they said I could have taken it directly to the repair shop. If you want to buy a Stihl chain saw just go to Able Saw or Ace Hardware. You will be much happier read more
