Pho IS MY Comfort food - We live close by and have driven by this place numerous times but have never stopped. Last night, I popped in to grab a "to-go" menu while my husband stayed in the car. I was so impressed with the friendly welcoming atmosphere and staff, I grabbed him from the car so we could try this place in person. My husband is not a fan of Pho, but does enjoy a "few" other Thai foods. Neither of us have "yet" developed a taste for sushi. Lilly, the owner is a breath of fresh air and you can tell she LOVES what she does - as another reviewer stated she treats you like royalty and the rest of the staff is just as attentive. To repeat, Pho IS MY Comfort food, I am very picky and this place did not disappoint! I upgraded to (1P) Hot Pot style (think fondue) a first for me and I truly appreciated the fact that I could control how long my steak stayed in the bubbling flavorful broth. It is more costly, so might save it or special occasions - the Pho broth and all the fresh veggies was delicious. My husband had the eggrolls bowl (8S) which he enjoyed. I snagged a few pieces, no fish or any other sauce needed, these crispy eggrolls were full of flavor, little bursts of joy in your mouth. This review is making me hungry - so will go grab the leftovers to reheat - wish I had more eggrolls, they would be great reheated in my air fryer!

I came into Umami Sushi Bar & Pho for dinner. Upon entering, I was immediately greeted and seated, and my server came by promptly to take my order. I went with the all-you-can-eat sushi option. Overall, the quality of the sushi is average at best. More specifically, the sushi pieces are average sized, the cuts of fish are average sized, and there was nothing in particular about the sushi that blew my socks off. Moreover, I felt the sushi rice was unremarkable and poorly seasoned. Umami Sushi Bar & Pho is a good place to get your sushi fix if all you care about is quantity. However, if you're looking for quality sushi, I would recommend someplace else.

This place is so delicious I just have to give them another 5 stars. Attentive staff, friendly atmosphere, everyone working together and even the owner serving guests. If you support any sushi place in Denver PLEASE support this amazing locally owned small business

We recently returned from California and were craving a warm and delicious pho. Umami sushi and pho, a brand-new establishment in town, exceeded our expectations from the moment we entered. The aroma of delectable and fresh food was exceptional. We ordered a couple of pho and the broth's flavor was intensely delicious and warming. The fresh vegetables tasted remarkably fresh. The entire venue was nice and neat, and the staff were very friendly, making us feel at home. We will definitely return soon, eager to try their sushi. I highly recommend stopping by for succulent pho and sushi.

The caterpillar roll was the star of the boat! It really was such a good roll, well balanced and just tasty. The rest of the sushi was really good too, you can tell it was fresh. The service was also really good, our waitress was so nice and helpful with the menu. The boat is very reasonably priced too with very a generous selection. The place is very clean too which is nice. I'd highly recommend this place.

    #P4 Pho Tai Chin

Stopped here on a Tuesday night around 7:45 for a bowl of pho. I got the number P4 which is Pho Tai Chin. They only have one size and it was $16 which is really more than I want to pay for a bowl of pho because it's also much more than I want to eat. But I will say the Pho was amazing. Plenty of meat in the bowl and plenty of delicious broth. I probably will not be back because the bowls are too big and hence too expensive, but if they had a smaller bowl for like $11 I would probably be there all the time. The service was good and the restaurant was well laid out and nice and clean.

When entering we were shyly greeted by the host and seated at a very wobbly table. We were then greeted by the waiter and said we wanted the AYCE option. The waiter said the sushi options were on the back side of the menu and appetizers are on the front. He said it was all covered without mentioning the difference in Premium AYCE ($41.99) and the regular AYCE ($34.99) and we opted for the regular option. He failed to mention that the premium AYCE only includes limited amounts of sashimi, but we assumed it was included since he did not specify or discuss the menu options since it was our first time there. We ordered our drinks and my husband never got his drink so he had to ask someone else for his drink which ended up being the wrong soda. The fastest thing we got during our dinner was the cheese wontons which were crispy and hot. We ordered salmon nigiri which had a good amount of fish and the rice ratio was good for the first portion we got. We also got salmon sashimi, chili ponzu yellowtail jalapeño, seared salmon Cajun, orange salmon spicy, Las Vegas roll, Phila Tempura Roll, Kazuyo Roll, Sumo Roll and Massachusetts Roll. The salmon sashimi were nice and thick pieces. The orange spicy salmon was covered in sauce that overpowered the fish. The seared salmon Cajun was okay. I honestly would have preferred it without all the extra random seasonings but they tasted oddly together. I tried the chili ponzu yellowtail jalapeño which was nothing special. The food overall was alright which is why I gave it 2 stars, but would give 1 because the service was awful. We waited over 20 minutes to even order the next round of sushi. We noticed other tables were also waiting for a long time as well. Our dirty plates were left on our table for a long time as well even when someone was cleaning all the other tables around us. No one checked in on us asking how we were doing or if we needed anything. We had to ask someone to take our order to order more because it was just getting ridiculously long. We got the bill and the waitress just then informed us we got the premium sushi because we ordered sashimi yet no one told us and there's no indicator anywhere on the AYCE sushi menu. It just has prices. Thankfully they only charged us for 1 premium and 1 regular, but still it felt very misleading with no information to go off and not very clear. Also I didn't like how the menu didn't have any descriptions of the rolls so we had to keep the normal menu to read off the menus. They tried taking it from us but mentioned we need it to know what's even in the rolls. My husband and I love trying AYCE sushi and KBBQ restaurants and we've never experienced a service like this in Colorado, California or Las Vegas. We even had to ask someone to tell them to stop making rolls we ordered because it took too long to get and we had to leave. We got there with more than an hour to spend and the restaurant was at probably 30% capacity. We felt frustrated and never likely going back or recommending this spot for someone who is looking for AYCE sushi.

We came here for my cousin's birthday since it's a newer spot, and I was really looking forward to trying it. I ended up ordering both sushi and pho so I could get a feel for their menu. The sushi actually tasted super good at first, fresh flavor, nice presentation, and honestly everything seemed great while we were eating. But about 20 minutes after we finished, everyone in my party started feeling sick. I mean everyone. We all ended up rushing home because our stomachs were so messed up. It was really disappointing, especially since the sushi tasted good but clearly did not sit right. The pho, on the other hand, was pretty solid. It had good flavor, came out hot, and didn't mess my stomach up at all. So I don't think the issue was the whole restaurant, just the sushi specifically. Which honestly makes me wonder if the fish isn't being handled safely or stored properly. Whatever the reason, something was definitely off with the sushi that day. They also have a really good all-you-can-eat deal that I was super interested in trying, but the catch is that if one person gets all-you-can-eat, everyone at the table has to get it too. It's understandable from a business perspective, but it does make it harder if not everyone in your group is hungry enough to commit to that. I really liked the vibe of the place and would love to come back, but I'm honestly scared considering how sick we all got. Food poisoning (or whatever it was) is no joke, and it definitely made me hesitant about trusting the sushi again. The part I will say was genuinely great was the service. Our server was really sweet and attentive the whole time. They even sang happy birthday and brought out a free dessert for my cousin, which I thought was such a nice touch and made the night feel special despite the stomach situation afterward. Overall, I want to love this place, and I'd consider coming back for the pho or to try the all-you-can-eat menu, but I'm definitely avoiding the sushi unless I see some big improvements or more positive reviews about food safety.

I'd been craving something warm and cozy, and this sushi and pho spot kept catching my eye every day on my way back to the hotel. They look fairly new--there's still a big "Grand Opening" sign out front--so I decided to finally give them a try. I stopped by during dinner and was greeted warmly by all the staff before being seated right away. My server mentioned they're known for their all-you-can-eat sushi menu--$40 for the premium option and around $35 for regular (don't quote me on that!). I ordered a green tea, a combination pho, and a side of eel nigiri. Everything came out pretty quickly. The pho was piping hot with a great broth-to-noodle-to-meat ratio. On the side, they included fresh bean sprouts, mint, lime, and sliced jalapeño, along with hoisin and sriracha--everything you need for the perfect bowl. It was filling and comforting, just what I wanted. Then came the eel nigiri, delivered by what I think was the chef himself (he was super friendly!). The eel was flavorful, with just the right texture--soft, savory, and delicious. The service throughout was excellent; everyone was very attentive. My only small suggestion would be to offer separate little bags for the pho toppings if someone orders it to-go. Other than that, it was a great experience. Next time, I'll definitely come back to try the all-you-can-eat sushi menu.

My girlfriend and I sat there for nearly 10 minutes while employees stood around on their phones gossiping instead of doing their jobs. When they finally acknowledged us, they literally tossed dirty silverware on the table with ONE napkin for both of us, despite multiple employees standing right in front of us. The table was filthy, the condiment bottles were sticky and covered in grime, and the entire place looked like it hadn't been cleaned properly in days. If the staff spent half as much time cleaning as they do standing around talking, maybe the restaurant wouldn't feel so unsanitary. The dishes themselves were dirty, the sauce tasted putrid, and the vegetables looked at least a day or two old. The food was barely edible and honestly one of the most disappointing pho experiences I've ever had. What made it worse was watching other diners receive noticeably better treatment while we were ignored and treated like an inconvenience. To be completely honest, the entire experience felt uncomfortable enough that it came across as potentially racist. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Terrible service, disgusting cleanliness standards, and food that should never have left the kitchen.
