10 Chicken Wings, KIMCHI FRIED RICE
    Ryan F.

A great meal! We had the 10 piece wings, kimchi fried rice and seafood pancake. All of it was delicious. Would come back again for those items and would like to try a few new others, too. Service was a bit on the slower side, but it was fine as we didn't have anywhere else to be right after. The back patio is the place to be if the weather is cooperating. I'd like to come back.

Pros: big outdoor patio space, good for large groups, big portions for sharing, lots of drink options Cons: bit loud to talk, service can be a bit slow because it gets busy, food tasted a little bland to me, can get a bit pricey

Scallion pancake was very crispy, they use purple rice for their fried rice, Sul lang tang was tasty!

Signage outside minimal and one could easily miss it. Beautifully decorated and the seating in The back was fun. The heat lamps really help . We were a large party n service was good. Dishes were amazing . I look forward to coming back and trying other dishes . I'll let the photos speak for me

Um Ma is on the more expensive side compared to Manna, which is nearby, but I think it's worth a visit! (Yeah lol I am a cheap eats person.) The outdoor area is really well taken care of and there are heaters outside. Love the vibe! I thought the Bulgogi was OK. The meat was honestly a little too tender/finely sliced such that there wasn't the meaty chewiness to it but otherwise OK. I thought the pork belly was really good, especially with the gochujang sauce. The service is excellent; I've been here twice and the servers have always been so kind and patient and genuinely like they want to check in on you!

We did a walk in on an early ish Sat and were promply seated in their back patio next to a heater (it was cold!). We tried two soju cocktails. They were way too sweet for us but still refreshing and fun to try something new. Since it was our first time trying Korean we had questions for our server and she helped us narrow down our choices. We wanted to try the Tteok-bokki since we had never had that before and one of their standard bibimbap dishes. We opted for beef but you can choose chicken. The Tteok-bokki arrived first. The server recommended we add cheese to it, so we did. This was very indulgent, spicy, piping hot and very comforting. It does start to get a bit redundant and hoped for more textures. The pickled items helped and we loved the quail eggs. The bibimbap with beef was delicious. We enjoyed it but only wish it came with more beef for the serving. The ratio seemed off. The outside started filling up quickly throughout our dinner, it seems like a popular and fun spot for bigger groups. We took home lots of leftovers as the portions were huge!

Food is always great here. We were a party of 4 on a Saturday night and got seated right away. It's really cold in there and we were seated by the front door. Wish they would shut the front door. What we ordered: veggie bibimbap w/ fried tofu - so good w/ the purple rice and veggies. The fried tofu was exellent. Bulgogi beef w/ purple rice and quail eggs - my sister and niece loved it. Jap Chae - delicious and full of flavors Scallion Pancakes - so good and crispy, thicker than what I've had at other Korean restaurants. Service was great and the server was attentive. Will always come back here for quality Korean food.

First time trying Um Ma. I went on a Saturday night. I waited about 40 minutes on the waitlist. There is seating inside and in the back. I got two dishes - they are sized decently. I rlly enjoyed the quail eggs that they provide. The restroom is clean. Parking is available nearby but competitive. The staff is very friendly! Fun and cozy atmosphere. Will be back!

Great outdoor space with grills built into the tables. Everything we had was great and the service was very attentive. The short rib was definitely my favorite.

It feels good to be back and sharing my food experiences again. Big appreciation to everyone who has supported me along the way. This time I visited Umma for some Korean dishes, and overall it was a solid experience. The soon tofu had a flavor that was a little different from what I usually expect, but I enjoyed trying something new. It was comforting and nicely prepared. The highlight for me was definitely the Korean wings. I chose the citrus gochujang flavor and they were crispy, bold, and full of personality. We also ordered the toktokkie. It was decent, and I really liked the ramen added on top which gave the dish a nice touch. The vibe was welcoming and the food was flavorful, making it a place I would consider visiting again.

    Corn Cheese
    Lianna T.

Definitely not your typical authentic Korean food but it was still decent. We tried the Corn Cheese ($12), Bibimbap ($22), Japchae ($17) + bulgogi ($6), and the Tteokbokki ($16). The corn cheese was good but it tasted more like elote. Imo the bibimbap and japchae were bland and adding the bulgogi is what saved them but the price felt a little steep. The outdoor seating was nice with heated lamps and service was quick and friendly. Overall, not a bad spot to try with friends, but not my top pick for Korean food.

First impressions: fantastic service! Food was wonderful--I personally recommend the rockin toe with bulgogi. Outdoor seating with lots of heaters available as well. Ambiance was great--it rides that fine line between being able to host both large and small parities with ease. Will definitely be back!

We were told 10/15 minutes for a table. Took 50 minutes - nearly an hour! We totally should have gone somewhere else but alas we eventually were seated. The pizza almost tasted stale - someone mentioned it is supposed to be like that but I've had pinsa a few times and that was not my experience. The pasta was pretty good - a red sauce. Nothing special. Meatballs also solid. Somehow my pasta came up 12-15 mins after everything else's food which was entirely confusing but oh well. The wine was good. Overall a cute little wine bar in CV, would def come back but nothing to write home about.

I was not a " stranger who walked from Haight street to your premises. Make no mistake about it. The scope of trust and honesty is more valuable and important than the scope of ice cream . At the request of my daughter and my grandmother we went to the ice cream bar this last Wednesday, taking to account we have been customers for the past 10 years on and off , we would drive from Marin just to have the ice cream there . We have seen employees come and go including Managers. Since my kids went to Grattan school. At times I personally like to pay for things in cash . We know most customers about 67% would pay by credit cards. To make a long story short. I wanted to pay my bill in $100 bill . Brand new , undamaged and straight from Wells Fargo bank. Negative thoughts would generate actions , negative actions would generate negative prejudice. What were the odds of having a family and customer using malice in bad faith? I presented the legal tender of $100 bill to The server, he took the money and checked 4 times looking at the number at the front, he used his left hand using his fingernails to scratch the bill in a strange way, like if it was a lottery ticket or a gift card , we know that large bills should be checked. then stated that he cannot accept the bill and that he had no change. Immediately, objected to his statement. I told him I quote: " You didn't even open the cash register , how would you know if you have change or not " ? He responded sarcastically, I have been handling the money all day . I responded by saying: then you should know if you can make change or not . Furthermore, I stated to him that is not how you would check for a valid $100 bill . A special counterfeiting pen is ideal to check bills. I showed him the way to be checked by holding the bill upright and matching the serial numbers to the bill. He made no good faith effort to get help from his manager , to call someone or confer with a third party responsible. This has created an inconvenience for my family. Luckily, I brought a backup card and payed by discover card to diffuse the situation . I wonder how many $100 bills were passed by me for the last 10 years? I even suggested he should call the police if he was so sure that it was a counterfeit bill. It was certainly a legal tender of a good faith/ money and finance . Section U.S.C 31 5103. The Constitution says otherwise. The ice cream bar failed to warn . If it was a policy not to accept a $100 bill , it should have been known by a clear and convincing fact by posting a statement that " No large bills / $100 bills are accepted " in a clear view of customers to be seen. I have tried to communicate with the company's MANAGER by calling her 3 times . She did not bother to answer my request to address my concerns , " my phone calls were screened " and refused to take my phone calls or respond. See how easy to lose a customer. I will not recommend this place nor go black to this ice cream place.
