Even though I had no experience in that field, I put myself out there and reached out to Ryan. Honestly there is nothing remotely close to even "little upset" about ultimate staffing services. It's been 13 years since I last used a staffing service to find work because of the major negative experiences that I've had. But I'm glad I gave it another try. ultimate staffing was surprisingly polar opposite of what I last experienced when it came to staffing service. They actually care about finding work for you. I told Whitney (hands down greatest agent I've had) my salary requiremnts and my past experience and s gave me multiple choices of available jobs that were right around my requested pay with job duties that I have experienced with. Less than 3 working business days she got me sowed up with a job. She made it relatively easy as 1-2-3. If you've had a bad experience with staffing services, it's not staffing service that are bad. It's because your using the wrong staffing service. Whitney is so flakey, rude, lacks basic common sense and rarely if ever will return your messages or emails. I was referred by a friend to the agency in late 2021 and they placed me unfortunately with this mean and unprofessional middle aged woman who thinks she's still 25. I did a video interview with her(after having to track her down for almost 2 weeks) and she kept making snarky faces and mentioned my lighting wasn't doing me any justice and questioned my age(umm age discrimination anyone!?!) She said I should invest in a better light in case I did an interview with a potential job and to "dress better". I was in a nice blouse that covered my chest and had light makeup on and my hair down and curled lightly and you couldn't see from the video but was in slacks just in case. She is A BULLY!!!! She legitimately said email your resume right now and I'll reply confirming it was received. Waited 48 hours. Nothing. Called 3 times and never got a human being on the phone-was able to leave her a few messages and emails too. Fast forward roughly 1.5-2 weeks later she "got around" to calling me and did the whole "I've been so so slammed I wish I would've gotten your messages sooner as I had numerous options for you but now sadly I have none". She's pathetic, makes weak excuses for her lack of work ethic and being unable to care or help another human being in need of a job. She made rude comments about my resume but refused to update it and said I could pay someone to do so. Hmm... quite odd. In the past when myself and friends have utilized agencies they want your resume to look the absolute best so they get credit for it and can match you with the best job so they in turn get paid. She isn't smart in any way shape or form. She also told me I didn't need to call and email more than once that when she had time she would get around to contacting me. Wow-way to make a candidate feel so special and like you are really putting your nose to the grindstone to find me work! You lack basic empathy and tact and should work in a completely different field where you don't interact with other human beings because you can't even keep your negative comments to yourself to save your life. Thankfully I'm gainfully employed through an agency who had the decency to treat me well and didn't make me jump through hoops to get a career I deserve and wanted so badly. Whitney needs to be removed from this line of work or change her disrespectful ways. read more

I called this office three separate times for a specific job posting on linkedin. Keep in mind I already have a profile with them. They didnt pick up on all three occasions and after few days they called me. When I wanted to inquire if that position was available I was given a roundabout answer saying to go to their website to see what positions were available and apply. When I let the recruiter know that I saw a position on Linkedin she reiterated. So here is what I got postings on Linkedin/ any other job board from them are not positions they are looking to fill for clients/internal it is just advertisement. Good to know now when I see it on any job board I will report as spam. I know how indeed works where spam gets pushed to the bottom so actual candidates dont see random companies advert. read more

So yesterday I applied at a Staffing Agency. It's been a while since I've worked for one, but last time I applied at one (back in 96), I had luck with them. I went to a company called Ultimate Staffing in Irvine. The recruiter I spoke with was great. I was there for maybe an hour, and she said she would submit my resume that same evening to a company that just had some data entry positions open. I said great! She told me to call her tomorrow (today), to see what they said. About an hour later (on my drive home), I received a phone call from the recruiter Whitney. She said the company would like to interview me at 4:45. Great. Was enough time for me to eat and take the call. The lady I interviewed with over the phone asked if I would be able to start Wednesday at 8am. I literally was hired over the phone within 2 hours of applying at Ultimate Staffing! I don't think I've ever been offered a job that quick in my life! So tomorrow I will be working for a non-profit company as a Payables Clerk. I'm excited to get back into the office environment and hope this will turn into a long term opportunity! If anyone is looking for a Staffing Agency, please let me know. I had an appointment at 2PM. E, the lady that works in this office confirmed with me TWICE that I would be at their office at 2PM. Exactly at 2PM, I'm there. I'm in their lobby and E approaches me. She looks at me strangely, then asked "you are"?. My name isn't very difficult to remember so how come she didn't ask if it was me, me that was arriving at 2PM? The office was empty so how hard was it to remember my name? Was she expecting someone perhaps younger? Because that's the very first impression I got. I'm 55 years YOUNG.
