Best staffing agency I have encountered. I have worked with a few different agencies and this is the the only one that actually put in work for me. I contacted them when I got laid off a few months ago and since then they connected me with a few temp jobs that gave me great experience and finally a temp-to-hire job that's a great fit for me. I will say that Jennifer Miller is professional and seems to have extensive experience doing this line of work. I first stopped by PrideStaff's office without an appointment because I happened to be in the area while pursuing other leads. The suite was locked during the listed office hours, but Jennifer opened the door and welcomed me in even as she had to leave soon for another appointment. I submitted my resume online a day earlier via the listed email address on the company Web page, but Jennifer couldn't find it as it was apparently sent to a mailbox that was not being monitored regularly. Whatever the case, she encouraged me to submit it again but this time to her email address so that we could set up an appointment for an interview. To her credit, Jennifer responded to my subsequent email and informed me of a job lead that may fit what I was looking for given my background. She provided an initial timeline of what to expect next. If I recall correctly, I waited a few days before following up with her but didn't receive a response. I was concerned that she may not have received my email given that the office apparently didn't receive my initial attempt through the company Web page, so I followed up with either a call or email for the next few days. However, I didn't receive a response until she finally called on the last of those aforementioned days of me following up to inform me that the prospective employer would be unavailable because they were doing a trade show or something of that sort, but she did set up a time for me to come back to the office for the introductory interview. Admittedly, I ended up arriving to my appointment late by about 13 minutes, I think, as I encountered unexpected traffic at the time and missed the left on Campus Drive, so I had to make a u-turn on Jamboree Road. It also didn't help that there was construction happening on Campus Drive. In any case, I called beforehand to let her know I was running late with an apology and explanation. When I arrived, I apologized again and she replied by "joking" that I should know better to arrive on time given that I've been harassing her with my emails. While she made a half-hearted attempt to play it off as no big deal, it was obvious that she was perturbed with my late arrival. I guess I can't really blame her but she seemed dismissive of me at that point. I get that she has likely had to work harder to possibly be taken seriously as a professional woman, so I can see why she'd have a harsh outlook on someone who didn't arrive on time, but things happen. To be fair, it could also have been that my resume had some gaps in my employment history where I took time off, which she informed me is viewed as unfavorable by employers. Yeah, I take time off in-between jobs because I tend not to take vacations when I am employed and I'm usually with employers for a few years before deciding it's no longer a fit. I shouldn't have to apologize for that, especially since I haven't gotten any complaints about the work I produce. At the same time, I get that's how employers view things, fairly or not, so I appreciated Jennifer Miller's sobering candor. Even still, I didn't get much of any leads from her office, except for a call on the day I accepted an assignment from another agency that pays more than my previous job. The lead she provided paid less than what I was seeking and was loosely associated with my background. Would I have gotten better results had I made a better first (or rather second) impression? Possibly, but it seemed slow both times I've visited the PrideStaff office as Jennifer and one other person were the most people I've seen in the office. This could be due to the lull in hiring activity towards the end of the year. At the same time, maybe someone just needed to have faith in me and my experience in order to present me in a positive light. As it turned out, I was apparently not as unmarketable as I was made to feel upon leaving the PrideStaff office during my last visit. read more

Found this company on Google and saw that they had good reviews. In an attempt to connect with one of their recruiters, the woman I spoke to on the phone told me that unless I had background in a job I was looking to transition to there was nothing the company could do for me. I found this to be very off-putting and would expect that an employment company would help me figure out which fields I would have transferable skills for. I thought that the invoice ($3,000) was stiff for the amount of work, or quality of work involved. I've met with several staffing companies before and have gone to, two separate Pride staffing locations (Mission Viejo and Santa Ana) and experienced the same exact treatment from both with possibly this santa ana location being a bit more unprofessional and a waste of time. Worse part was that they were reaching out to me and made it feel like it was the other way around. I have to say their recruiters have little to no experience when it comes to making a phone call professionally. The recruiter seemed to have little to no interest in making a call to me and when more of me having to do her role and asking questions as odd as that sounds. To top things off, I'm about 100% sure they sell off your email address to add companies, so be prepared to have your email flooded with junk/spam mail jobs that don't actually exist and will lead you to jobs for postmates and uber. I do not recommend working with Pride Staffing after my experience. read more
