At first I thought maybe it was something simple since I'm not very tech savvy but after the guy came I realized there was some damage but the IT guy was super knowledgeable. I hate when you call some IT company and they know less than you. He gave me some options which I appreciated since sometimes all they want is what is more convenient for them not my pocket. I was very happy I called them since they were fast, professional and got my problem solved.

I had a WiFi network installed by professionals that never worked well and after multiple visits…read morefrom them, many of them where they charged me, I just got so frustrated I called Smart Start Networks. They were amazing. They evaluated my current system, which is also integrated into an AV system, wrote up a proposal which I accepted. The system they installed is amazing. I have never had as good a WiFi system in terms of strength of signal, speed and reliability. As important, this Smart Start does what they say they will do without any surprises. They call when they say they will call, show up for appointments on time and really back up their services. In my case there has been nothing to do, since their system is working perfectly, but Smart Start Network has followed up a couple of times in the first 30 days after installation to make sure I was 100% satisfied. If you have a WiFi system you want installed, or have an existing system you would like upgraded I would highly recommend Smart Start Network. Lastly, Phil was the senior technician on my job and was phenomenal. Gina works in the office and is fantastic as well. This is my first Yelp review. I felt compelled to endorse this company because they are a breath of fresh air in NYC, where quality of product and service are often hard to find!

Rob's Installations were great! Communicative, professional, & thorough across the entire process…read more Rob reached out w straight forward & clear pricing, accounting for all my variables as I detailed different needs for the project. I had requested a flat screen TV mount for a 70" TV with in-wall wire concealment. After some discussion, Rob advised that we should do relocation of the power outlet behind the TV mount to remain fire code friendly, so we had them complete that work as well, & it was done very well. Rob & team were effective & I ended up opting to have more work done in the house including terminating CAT6 ethernet drops throughout the home & Rob was able to test, tone, & punch down all the CAT6 drops without issue. They also did cable management of one of the CAT6 drops to my TV mount location with discreet wire covers adhered to the wall. All told, everything came out looking neat & clean, was zip-tied professionally & all the cable terminations appear to be properly done as well. Will DEFINITELY go back to Rob's Installations in the future for all my TV mounting and/or home networking needs. Strongly recommended

Bob just completed the installation of our window gate. The window is the only one in our bedroom…read moreand it's the only one with a fire escape. Thus, in order to get through the summer, we had to purchase a portable AC unit since window units are illegal in this situation. Bob was able to create a custom gate for us that accommodates the AC pipe that has to vent out the window. The gate functions beautifully and I love that he leaves the top bars further apart so it allows the maximum amount of light to come through. After the installation, there was a portion of the gate that he was not completely satisfied with and so he even offered to just drop by with the additional part whenever he is back in Manhattan. Him and his partner were very professional. Would definitely recommend. Would definitely recommend.

Selecting a vendor for specialized work is always anxiety-ridden. I contacted Lock & Tech regarding…read morean electrical matter in my home; the circuits kept tripping whenever we used appliances simultaneously in the kitchen- like the toaster oven and dishwasher. This was inconvenient, but frustrating because a few years ago I had the electricity system upgraded with dedicated lines for the air conditioners. The price quote was what everyone else mentions in their reviews- not cheap at over $200/hour, but what seems to be market rate. Everyone likes to save a few bucks, but typically you get what you pay for and cutting corners may leave you without recourse if something doesn't go right. In any case, the technician, Tomer, arrived on time. I knew he was great because my cat loved him and followed him around the house. He assessed the problem and explained the plan of action. There was no pressure to proceed, and I was looking at over $1000 worth of work. He also fixed a pull chain on a ceiling fan. The cost was over $200 for less than 1 hour work, but they did not nickel& dime me over the cost for materials to fux the fan, which I estimated to be fair. It turned out I was right: The air conditioner was plugged into the wrong outlet, the dedicated line hiding behind a desk. Tomer called and told me about this. He offered to proceed anyway should I wish, but didn't feel it was be necessary. His due diligence and honesty saved me a few hundred dollars. The subsequent over payment of the deposit was promptly refunded within a few days. This company is customer-oriented and provide exceptional service. Sure, you could use joe from the supermarket flyer and save a few dollars, but reliability, expertise, and good service are worth the extra cost.

We drove there immediately and when entering the shop, we were very well greeted by Laith although he was attending another customer. As he was attending to others, he also checked on us to understand what were we looking for. Once our turn came in, he immediately sat down with us and went over the Verizon offers in detail. Answered every question patiently and he surely was very knowledgeable. The entire process of porting and setting up the new phone took around 2hrs but was worth the experience. Laith told us initially when we came in that "I will make sure you go out of this shop with everything ready and the only thing you will be left with is to use the phone" and he did it! I will never forget his words, mainly because nobody ever has told me this with so much confidence and most importantly, kept the word! He completed the porting, setup our new phones, backed up the data from old phones, installed the screen protectors, installed the phone covers and completed all the required formalities for both of us before we stepped out. Now, keep in mind, he is attending to other customers as well all this time. Multi-tasking at its best! I have to admit that I have never faced this kind of customer service and highly recommend to consider this shop for your needs. Ask or look for Laith! Trust me - you will not be disappointed at all! We surely will go back for Fios service as well!
