Prompt initial response, high quality product, and professionally installed. Relatively expensive, but seems secure and approved by NYFD. Removing one star as business prefers to deal in cash with a relatively high down payment (over 10 percent) with no receipt. Getting an official quote on official letterhead or an invoice for taxes / capital improvements was difficult. read more

Bob was great to work with and definitely was true to his past reviews on yelp. He came to measure one day and was back within a week to make the quick and easy installations. Him and his helper were wearing masks the whole time, which we appreciated. His suggestions were welcomed and his price was fair. We felt great about this and are happy we checked yelp and found easy out Gates! read more

Easy Out Window Gates - Security Systems Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

We had our gate installed in 2019. The owner was professional and pleasant to communicate with. He responded to us by email and by phone. He and his assistant were punctual on the day of installation and the process was done relatively quickly. The gate gives me peace of mind that made the cost entirely worth it. The only thing perhaps to be mindful of is the smell of the paint from the gate for a few days after. The smell dissipates but it's just something you should be prepared for if you're sensitive to odors. read more

Nice gate. Prompt service. Charged approx. $200 more than expected after seeing the window in person. Felt that it was a bit steep. Other than that, we are satisfied. read more

I don't deny the quality of Bob's gates. But he's way too demanding to push the price. I've had a custom made gate for $300 with the same mechanism and design, yet his price is more than double that! Not worth it. read more

Easy Out Window Gates - Easy out window ! Beautiful thank you.. - Security Systems Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

Bob just completed the installation of our window gate. The window is the only one in our bedroom and it's the only one with a fire escape. Thus, in order to get through the summer, we had to purchase a portable AC unit since window units are illegal in this situation. Bob was able to create a custom gate for us that accommodates the AC pipe that has to vent out the window. The gate functions beautifully and I love that he leaves the top bars further apart so it allows the maximum amount of light to come through. After the installation, there was a portion of the gate that he was not completely satisfied with and so he even offered to just drop by with the additional part whenever he is back in Manhattan. Him and his partner were very professional. Would definitely recommend. Would definitely recommend. read more

Robert did everything exactly as he said he would. He came on time to measure the window, came on time two days later to install the bars, and he and his co-worker took their time to make sure the job was perfect. The price was reasonable and the craftsmanship was outstanding. We had contacted several services, and we are very happy that we made what turned out to be the absolute best choice. I highly recommend Easy Out Window Gates. read more

Easy Out Window Gates - Window with New Security Bars - Security Systems Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

The window gate works. I like being able to open the gates to let the sun shine in. I feel secure at night.

I bought 5 window gates( inc. 1 Emergency/ fire escape) from Bob about 4 years ago. The reason I purchased so many because I lived on 2nd floor with sub roof. I felt super caged but safe! Lol I suffered in the summer time in my living room, and had stay in the bedroom on those super hot summer days. Because there wasn't options to put a portable a/c duct through window gate. I think then the only option I had was purchase another fire/emergency gate. Price wise didn't make sense. It was an apartment...paying $$$$ didn't seem feasible, for a house yes not apartment. And mind you that I paid $$$ for what I had to agree to get. I made it work. I would definitely recommend him to everyone. This is one of kind! Thanks Bob for keeping me safe. read more

This company is wonderful, Bob is very helpful and accommodating! I can't say enough how satisfied I am. Ordering was a breeze, Bob came out to my place on a SUNDAY measured my window and by Friday within 10 minutes of arriving he was done installing my gate. Definitely recommend to anyone needing a window gate. FYI- He will also come to yonkers! read more

The good reviews are true. I found Bobs business on Yelp as well as On Google. Being an old school business type person all I can say is Bob is straight up and honest. Kept his word and even looked out for my AC unit that I use. I am a big supporter of local businesses and it is nice to know that he custom builds his products at his shop. Both he and his assistant were concerned and kind making sure that the installation was done right. Thank you Bob and I thank your assistant as well. (Sorry I never got the other gentleman's name). But I would and will recommend EasyoutGates to others. Happy Holidays to all read more

Very reliable service. Works quickly without any problems. Reasonable pricing compared to others. No hidden costs. Recommend highly.

The best window gate in NYC!!!! And the price cannot be beat. For those of you looking to change your ugly window gates, or add window gates for added security, this is the best window gate you can find. I had recently bought a place. Unfortunately, with only 1 window that had the fire exit right by it, the window had to be secured with a security gate that is FDNY approved. The place had the very ugly accordion gate. I felt like I was in a prison cell, and much of that old gate blocked out the light from the window. I had to replace it but I wanted a gate that did not make me feel like I was in prison. Most of the gates I found online felt very bulky and looked ugly, and most of all the price was over $1200 for a double window! I stumbled upon www.easyoutwindowgates.com and saw the pictures. Though they are not very clear, it looked like the gates opened easily. To make a long story short... I called Robert... we scheduled an appointment... took measurements... I told him what I wanted... he set my expectations based on the limitations set by FDNY... 1 week later he came to install it. Installation was very quick and it looks very nice. Though I would prefer a non-gated window, security is essential. So for anyone looking to get a really good window exit security gate a very reasonable cost, you will not go wrong with them. read more

I was really nervous about installing anything on our fire escape window but these easy out gates are great..they open easily and were not super expensive. Robert was great too..he measured on Monday, installed on Wed and the whole thing took about 10 min. The pictures on the website don't do the gate justice, they look much better on the window and are hidden by the blind anyway. Highly recommend Robert and this gate! read more

They look great, I feel much safer, and Robert was really easy to work with. He was on time and polite. Plus, he actually invented and patented the easy-out window gate, which is pretty darn cool when you think about it. Dude wants cash (I don't blame him), but checks are OK. read more

What fast & amazing service! The day we called, Bob came out to measure our window & in 2 days he was back with our custom gate! It is secure & looks great - we really like that it's a light color so that we don't feel imprisoned in our house, but can keep bad guys out! ;) The only thing it doesn't protect against is vampires, so since Halloween is coming we might also hang some garlic in the window. Thanks, Easy-Out, we will totally recommend you to our peeps! :D read more

My previous apartment had an easy out window gate in the fire escape window and when I moved upstairs, I decided to install one (management said it was the tenant's responsibility unfortunately). Bob replied to my email inquiring about a quote within minutes and in less than a week I had both an assessment and installation done. The gate for my single fire escape window was $548 (steep, but priceless for the peace of mind). I got a quote from another company for $595 plus an additional $250 for installation, which made Bob's quote very appealing. Installation was less than twenty minutes and no one is getting through that sucker! Thanks Bob :) read more

I've been having security concerns and had been out of work for less than a year, spent the last of my unemployment benefit on the EZ Out Fire escape and still had the same problem. Fast forward almost 2 years Ive spent over 2500 maximizing security in my house installing grills on every other window, upgrading locks, and installing an alarm system --only to discover that the fire escape gate is not secure; Having wider spaced slots on top and smaller slats at the bottom--that I recently discovered my hand can still easily pass through. I installed 2 shelves toward the top of the gate but am still dissatisfied, out of work and had been on disability due to the same security concerns. If you are concerned about safety look for a more uniformed gates with smaller slats (that hands won't be able to penetrate). Good luck! read more

Bob completed my installation on 4 window gates this morning. He was able to come during the weekend to make take measurements and install them before work the same week! Bob and his worker were both professional, nice, and efficient. They had all for windows done in less than 30 minutes, and even helped put in my window AC unit. I would highly recommend using Easy Out Window Gates if you are looking for a great product, fast service, and a fair price. read more

Well, everyone had nice things to say so it's unfortunate that I had a completely different experience. Bob quoted me a price over the phone after speaking to me and seeing photos of the window. After he came to measure, his price was more than double what he quoted! I tried to understand why he would do that but he insisted I "misunderstood" him on the phone or that he never quoted that price and that he never saw the photo of the window. (He then looked at his phone and there was the photo. But he quickly brushed it off.) He refused to negotiate and ended with a "If you call me back for this job, I'll add another $200 to the price." At that point I told him "I will not be calling you back." Very dodgy and a waste of time. read more

My sister needed something for her Criminal Minds window. These type of television programs really do a little number on people. Anyways, I contacted the company, spoke to Robert and then my sister called him to make an appointment to measure and install. Robert was very professional. He measured and installed in the time frame he said he would and my sister was able to get her peace of mind for under $500.00. Thank you Robert for taking care of my baby sister. read more

Bob has just installed gates on sections of a bay window facing a fire escape. And, WOW! They are so much better than the oversized, clunky, ugly gates I had there before. They are white and cover only those parts of the windows that I needed covered, so there is much more light coming through. And the gate leading to the fire escape is much easier to operate. If a fire ever occurs, I'll be relieved to have this gate there. As for Bob himself, I found him to be friendly, yet also professional. He first came to look over the window and take measurements, and I found him easy to talk to; he cheerfully answered all my questions, and I appreciated the honesty and frankness of his answers, as well as his expertise. A week later, he and an employee came and installed the gates quickly and with no complications. The whole thing was so easy. The upshot: I would definitely recommend this company to anyone. read more

Really really awesome. The guys were nice and courteous and were in and out in about 30 minutes. The gate is beautiful, is easy to open and close, and the price was pretty damn good. The window I needed a gate for is pretty huge, and Bob measured it out last Sunday and it was just installed not 10 minutes ago (friday)! $445 for a beautiful, white, custom sized gate. You can't beat that. Oh, and they're in Brooklyn, and came ALL the way up to Washington Heights. Great guys. Highly recommended. read more

Easy out was very efficient. Once I sent an e-mail, they came and measured, then gave me a day they would come and install. Installation took all of five minutes! The gate looks incredible. However, the best thing about this business is that, after I installed the gate in one apartment, I found a horrible roach infestation and needed to move apartment (I hadn't even moved in my furniture yet). So, I e-mailed about moving the gate for me from one unit in the building to another unit, they were able to help me without any trouble. It was a rough couple of days, but this service definitely helped me and put a smile on my space. read more

We had an existing flat window gate installed in a bit of an odd sized window, and wanted to replace it with bars that could accommodate an air conditioner. After calling around, we were a little bit dismayed at the cost of replacing the entire gate, but Bob offered to do it by just cutting around only the lowest part of the parts and just adding the AC box. This was a bit of a non-standard job, but it took just 1 phonecall, 1 day to measure and 1 day to install for a far cheaper price than any quote we had received for the entire gate, and the gate looks and functions great. Bob was quick and courteous and did a great job - 5/5. read more
