Zero stars, horrible, Aaron the owner put a time sert in my #5 cylinder of my 02 f-150 for the spark plug and didn't set it correctly so when the spark plug was installed it drove the sert down into the cylinder and when he started the truck the piston made contact which put a hole in it and the breaking of the sert and the piston broke a valve and junked my motor.... I paid for the new motor and after I helped install the motor I paid for due to his F up he tried to give me a bill for the swap.... This guy is a thief and a liar!! he charged me for work he did not complete or changed any parts on my truck. instead he disconnected lines to my carburator and made my truck run rough and failed immisions. Stay away from this place, he's a dishonest person and will rip you off just like he ripped me off. He's heading to court with me, he just don't know it yet. Aaron is a thief and a liar. Very happy I found this place! A friend had recommended a place closer that also had great reviews but my truck is a CNG bi-fuel and the other shop couldn't help. Ahren has a lot of CNG experience and worked with me to get my truck in at an appropriate time so that if he needed to keep it overnight he would not have to leave it in the parking lot. First indication of customer concern. Had the truck towed in, I was 95% sure it was the fuel pump. His diagnostic charge was less then half the price of the competing CNG shop (and they did not impress me over the phone). He suggested I wait while he did his troubleshooting. I watched and he was very systematic and logical and you could tell he had listened to me when I explained what I had checked out. It took him 10 minutes to confirm the fuel pump and since it was so quick he rolled most of the diagnostics charge into the repair labor. He gave me some parts options, OEM or aftermarket got on the phone getting the part on the way and gave me an estimate for 60% of what I expected. 3 hours later I got a call, he was done, but had found a couple things he was concerned with, even texting me pictures. I had him replace a leaking water pump and change the oil and was still under the amount I expected to spend on the fuel pump. Customer service was awesome, he understands we work hard for the money. He kept me informed all along, wasn't pushy about getting the additional work done. He made recommendations, didn't talk down to me. When I picked up the truck he drove me around pointing out some more things, knowing I'll be selling it soon so that I would know what was going on for when a buyer checked out the truck. I've had 2 cars worked on by Ahren, and we think very highly of him, his skills and his service. I had been having my cars serviced for years by another mechanic shop, and lately had felt the quality of service was lacking significantly. After they told me that I needed a complete exhaust system replacement to the tune of $5500 (for a car not worth half that), I decided it was time to find somebody else. Not sure how I found my way to Ahren's shop, but we are glad we did. He showed me an oil leak that he said had been present for some time, and showed me how dangerously close my drive train was to breaking apart. The oil leak was clearly visible so I can't understand why the previous mechanic would not have said something to me (I had just had it at this shop the previous week). Much of the resultant work he had to do on my car was only required because of how long oil had been being flung around my engine. With the drive train, he was not able to find an OEM replacement, so he had one made. Know any regular shops that would go to that extent to get your car fixed at a cost you can afford? (Oh, and I didn't need a new exhaust system.) He approaches his work from a holistic perspective - he is committed to making cars completely roadworthy. He took the time to evaluate my entire vehicle for hidden problems and address them now before they could cause problems. For example, when he saw I had the original Nissan radiator, he evaluated it and found that it was starting to fail. Left in the car, it would one day leave me stranded. Ahren is very concerned about validating for owners the work that he is recommending be done, and why - he takes before and after photos, and shows you the car while in process of repairing. (It is unsettling to both walk underneath your vehicle and see it in pieces on the ground!) Ahren also worked on my son's 1988 Honda, with similar positive outcome. I feel like both my son and I are now driving safe vehicles, which will last us for many more miles. We plan to take our SUV to Ahren to evaluate before we go on our summer roadtrip. We won't be going back to our previous mechanic. Ahren is a one-man shop, so he isn't able to provide the guaranteed delivery times that other shops are, which I think some other reviewers had problems with. To us, we'd rather have our cars fixed right and not be sent out of the mechanic's shop with undiagnosed/uncommunicated problems, so we can be flexible with how long repairs take. (Oh, and he's a talker, so be prepared for lots of details on what was wrong with your car, and what he fixed!) read more

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. - It took me a couple to months to write this review to get over the harsh feelings that I had toward the owner of this company. I had my car (2005 - Kia Sportage) towed to Ahren's shop at the beginning of July - he VERBALLY gave me a quote to fix the mess that another nightmare mechanic had started on my car. Given that I brought my car to him basically in a box to reassemble, I did not want to bother him so I let it go over a month before I started contacting him again. For another month after it was like pulling teeth to get him to return my calls or to give me a date to pick up my vehicle or a quote on what i owed him. Every time I spoke with the him the price was higher and different because something else needed to be changed/ fixed. That is understandable. What's not is - by the end of this whole experience 2 almost 3 months later just to get my car back, i threatened to call the cops twice, he threatened to lock my car up in his shop and it was almost 2 thousand dollars worth of "repair". - Ultimately the car ran, he got the job done, the engine was back in place but shortly after the engine was misfiring due to the timing belt not being timed properly. So, If you want a mechanic that gets the job done but with a VERY sh*tty attitude and you never knowing when your car will be back in your possession, sure, go to Ultimate Automotive Diagnostics. But - i would NEVER recommend this shop to even my worst enemy because i would not want anyone to go through what i went through with the owner. It was beyond a nightmare. read more

Zero stars given here. The owner thinks he knows everything, and that he is the best there is. Absolutely the worst experience ever dealing with this guy. He will insult your car, and then get angry with you when he doesn't have your car done when he said he would. read more
