This Ulta, mainly the location, is a hit and miss. I mean this in two different ways. First, staffing is either nice or just meh. When I was in the store about a week ago, the staff were super friendly and helped me pick out products that I've had a difficult time deciding on. I went into the store today and the girl at the register was like a robot from a Radiohead song--just flat toned and it seemed like she didn't want to be there at all. Second and lastly, the parking lot is ATROCIOUS. I mean this from the bottom of my heart. People just speed through and I've almost gotten hit while walking multiple times, with today being the worst. I was walking out to my car and someone in an SUV was backing up (pretty sure this car had a backup camera and they just weren't looking) and almost hit me while I was walking. I got into my car, was backing up (rear view camera was clear--as well as looking around), and sure enough, the same SUV just speeds right behind me and I had to slam on my brakes to avoid backing into them. Also, with all the theft that goes on in this strip mall, it should be monitored by security. I've had better luck at other Ulta locations and even though this one is closer, I'm going to take my business somewhere else that's less congested with idiot drivers and consistent staff. read more

I came in the store 40 minutes before close mind you the store has not even came close to closing. I did not even come into the store a couple minutes before. Indirectly the cashier was hinting for me to leave. It wasn't just me it was another customer as well she was trying to get out of the store. I wasn't trying to stay until close I knew what I needed I just needed to decide. But I would like to add, Akili thank you for the excellent customer service. read more

This store is amazing! I went in looking for something to help me with my skin and got helped by Emma. She was super kind and gave me amazing products and recommendations. Emma was so sweet and I'd come back again just for her help. I left spending more then expected but happy with all the products and recommendations that I received. I went to Ulta to get a Christmas gift for my wife. The place was empty which surprised me right before the holiday. The girl behind the counter was clueless on where to find the item I was looking for. Not very good interpersonal skills and seemed uncomfortable when I said Merry Christmas as I exited the store. I returned after Christmas due to an issue with the purchase I made and the girl behind the counter couldn't have been nicer and was very helpful. read more

I love purchasing my beauty supplies from ulta, because it's a one stop shop for all my needs, and usually, the customer service is great. However, last night my sisters and I received terrible service from Haley. As we were searching for product, Haley followed us around the store and acted as if she were putting away product. As a black woman, I'm used to receiving blatant racist actions from employees in retail stores, but I never expected this from Ulta. read more

Used to work at this location and I can say that if you're able to deal with the most rude employees and general manager ever, then this is the location for you. Most of the employees are extreme gossips and are very catty and judgmental and will most definitely talk about you and/or the purchase you made after you exit the store. Didn't enjoy my experience working here because the management is terrible and treats their employees as if they are unintelligent and useless unless they kiss ass. The store is usually pretty clean though, despite all the employees always preoccupied with talking shit about customers or other employees and slacking off in the back room. As somebody who experienced just how terrible the staff is, I would NOT recommend this location. There's another Ulta about 8 miles south on I-41 in the Mayfair Collection and this location is under much better management and I know for a fact their employees know what they're talking about when they inform you on products. I can tell you that when the store opened a lot of the other girls hired didn't know crap about most products in the store--they were only hired because they could do makeup well or said they enjoyed makeup. Most of the girls didn't know anything about makeup/skincare/haircare. Just because you can do makeup well and enjoy it doesn't mean you know jack shit about the products you're using unless you do your research (like I did). This may sound as if I'm just leaving a 1 star review due to my experience at the store, but if it's anything like it is when I quit, this store is definitely not worth your time. Check out the Mayfair Collection location or Brookfield location for a much better experience where all your hair, skin, and brow needs can be met. read more

Too be honest I am most definitely not a general fan of Ulta stores anywhere. For me this store is more convenient for me than my "other" favorite go to stores or counters in a pinch. I have been to this store many times and what irritates me the most is the amount of tester product they have on display to try and use and for the most part NO available merchandise to back it up. This has been the situation since their opening. (One product in particular has been purportedly for sale since this store's opening and has been on display the whole time with no backing available merchandise) When you mention this to the sales associates who are all in dire need of customer service skills, the vapid stares and stammering about the quality of the product is a restraint on the testing of my patience. Please get the products you are actually reputing to be selling and a team of sales professionals not consisting of the clique from 'Clueless' and this store will have more of a chance. read more

Only giving the salon a one star. Not the store. I've only been to ulta salon twice for hair dye. And the first time, I wasn't too impressed. But decided to give it another shot. I wanted my hair lighter, a lot lighter. I came in with my hair on the lighter side and left with my hair darker than what I came in with. Overpriced for someone who doesn't know how to do their job. I even told her in the end that she went too dark and she made excuses saying "it's a process". No. It can be done in one sitting. It does not take two-three sittings. My hair color was not even close to being what I wanted. She did a horrible job at washing my hair as well. There was left over toner still in my hair and stuck on my scalp. She did not style my hair or even asked if I wanted it styled after she was done either. Go to a real salon, even if it costs more. Never again. read more

I'm very surprised by any negative reviews for this store. I was traveling through Menomonee Falls for work and called to make an appointment for a brow wax, no problems at all. Friendly and welcoming staff transferred my call. I arrived a few minutes early for my appointment with Jessica who was ready for me as soon as I came in. She was absolutely lovely! We discussed by concerns and how I wanted to shape my brows. She decided to map them so we could make sure to get it right - one of the perks to Benefit. She waxed efficiently and carefully, even going back for some light hair we both missed. Jessica did a wonderful job shaping and filling in my brows. One of the reasons I choose Benefit at Ulta is because the aestheticians are consistent at all locations. I would recommend Jessica in a heartbeat to anyone looking for quality in their brow shaping! read more

Rudest staff ever! Super excited for new store to open near me. Super sad to experience a staff that is unwilling to help a customer. Ask for a product, they point me in the general direction. Try and check out, they are too busy talking to ring up my sale. I will gladly drive the extra miles to another Clinique retailer than to visit this store again. read more

This store has all of the beauty supplies I look for, but the staff!!! I was there today, in the makeup section directly across from the registers. The ladies at the register were speaking loudly about another employee, about how she never does this or that, and one of those speaking apparently was a manager, because she started talking about how maybe she was going to have to fire the employee being discussed. I just thought it was extremely inappropriate! I did not want to listen to this convo but I had no choice. This is the second time I've had this happen at this store. Also, there were three employees chatting at center of the store, they barely acknowledge you when you walk past, like "Finding everything ok?" with a "don't disturb our convo" attitude....seems like they are cliquey and not helpful. I will continue to shop here because it's close to home and the prices are better than Sephora or Walgreens. But it isn't a place I look forward to shopping at. read more

Staff is always extremely helpful and tries to answer any questions I may have. If the person that is helping me doesn't know, they will ask other workers to try and assist me. I will always make a point to go to this store even if it is out of my way. read more

I was so excited to have an Ulta Beauty open close to my home! As a makeup artist & makeup addict, they have everything I'd want and need! Love the highend and more affordable makeup, the prices, deals and the reward system... and now you start wondering why I'm giving them a 1.5/2 stars. WELL..as much as i love the store, i wish to never step foot inside it again. As soon as i walk in, all the associates are huddled together gossiping amongst one another. Eventually they acknowledge me and asked if I needed any thing, but i didnt need any assistance at the time. As walking around in the isles (nearby the cluster of associates) they made sure to whisper when seeing me , and asked me Again if i needed any help.. i declined and kept to myself while browsing. They started talking up again and making horrible comments about customers and people calling the store looking for work opportunities. I've heard one associate tell another "ew, this girl is calling again trying to work here. Just by the sound of her voice I'd never hire her". This snobby comment instantly upset me and made me feel very uncomfortable. They kept making sure i was always in view and then for the 3rd time asked if i needed anything. Now im upset and decided to check out with my items to just get out of there. When reaching the counter, one of my clearanced items were rung up a different price then it was labeled. I told her the sticker said otherwise but she just said "oh thats not the right sticker on it".. and just stared at me, not willing to do anything about their mistake. I said to just forget it and asked about my Birthday month and what benefits do i recieve? Told me i should have gotten an email. Told her i didn't and she responded with nothing, as if there was nothing i could do, now i get nothing for my birthday month. Im livid, took my bag and left. Ulta, im going to need you to train your associates to have better customer service skills and manners. I never has this problem with Sephora. Ill just take my business elsewhere. read more

The past two times I've been here I have had terrible customer service in the prestige makeup section. Both visits were to be foundation matched and both times I didn't have a single person ask if they could help me find anything. I typically would just ask but I just wanted to see how many times I could walk past her before she said anything. I got to 7 before I gave up. She clearly had no interest in her job. There's a reason I'm a VIB Rogue member at Sephora and not at Ulta. While Sephora can be a bit more expensive depending on the brand, the quality of their staff is far beyond this location of Ulta. I will be returning to Ulta in general but not this location. read more
