Since then I have been trying to visit this place for weeks and every time I go during store hours no one is there!! (Not to mention they have moved locations and not all addresses are updated so I was lost for a bit, just to find a subpar location that doesn't look anything like the venue photos on google). I called her and asked how she made a reservation and she said she just called so I called and the "store number" just goes to voicemail and I never received a response. This company is extremely disorganized!!!!! I brought this scenario back up and my friend said she has been having issues picking up her candles and have yet received them!!! It has been months!!! I purchase local candles; I have a candle subscription that delivers candles from small, local candle shops throughout the country; I sometimes pick up a candle or two when I'm grocery shopping. Again, I love candles. So, when I received a buy 3, get 3 coupon as well as a 40% off coupon for Yankee Candle, I decided to venture to the mall for the first time in over a year. Masks are required at the mall and for the most part were being used properly. Yankee Candle is a small store but it also wasn't busy when we were in, so we felt entirely comfortable. They have many, many varieties of candles from seasonal scents to year long lovelies. Their large, single wick, jar candles have a burn time of 110-150 hours and are roughly $30/each. Between the two coupons, I was able to get 7 large jar candles for just over $100. Which definitely felt like a deal given the long burn time. They also have room sprays, scented hand sanitizer, fragrance spheres (jars you put in a room which will add fragrance to the room, no burning necessary), and all sorts of cute seasonal accessories. They even have a personalized label printer, where you are able to simply bring in your phone with the image you'd like to have placed on the candle and they'll print it out for a personalized candle. I'm currently enjoying a Garden Hideaway scent (lovely and floral) while I type this and dream of spring. While I prefer local, soy candles. My trip to Yankee Candle made for a fun change of pace and I can't say I'm disappointed with the resulting scents swirling in my home!

Exactly what I needed as a toddler mom wanting a quiet break before a solo parenting weekend. Friday night in Walker's Point has such a vibe -- the whole neighborhood was buzzing! I buzzed the door, walked up to the second floor, and as soon as I opened the door, the cozy and intimate space immediately put me at ease. I had a table just for myself! The process is super smooth and not at all overwhelming. You get to do your own thing, but the staff are attentive -- they check on your drink, walk you through the candle-making process step by step, and then guide you to the scent bar. Even though I was surrounded by couples and friend groups, it never felt awkward. My drink, New Moon, was delicious! It comes served in a little box, and you get to open it to reveal the drink -- such a fun surprise. My candle turned out amazing, and I can't wait to burn it. The whole experience took about 1 hour and 15 minutes, including around 25 minutes for the candle to fast chill -- just the right pace for a relaxing solo night. There's only street parking, but there are quite a few spots nearby. I parked a little farther away since it was a busy Friday night.
