It was about $20, so allowance will have to be saved up a little bit. But the pieces are beautiful, and the owner(?) was very patient with the kids even when it was clear we weren't going to be purchasing anything that day. And I think the kids learned more about rare minerals too. The normal elevator was apparently not working when we visited, though not labeled as such. We went up the freight elevator because walking up the stairs didn't seem too fun, even on leg day. Maybe down. Chrysalis is to your right as you exit the elevator, and around the corner. The door is not super exciting but we knocked and were invited in. Street parking out front is metered. There are public restrooms on the upper floors of the building. In any event, I am sure when the little one has a lemonade stand and has money burning a hole in their pocket we'll be back. If you like pretty stones or need an exotic gift, maybe you should too.

I recently attended the winter solstice sound bath, and going into it this time, I knew what to expect. That being said, I dressed a bit warmer and extra comfy and brought additional blankets because I personally become very cold during the sound bath, especially at certain times when the sound vibrates through my body. It feels like actual icicles moving through me. I'm not normally a cold person, so it's definitely part of the experience for sure. I also love the guided meditation aspect of it. I don't think I would want to attend one without it, because it's such a nice added feature. I love that after the session, cards are given out and there's time to reflect on them. It also opens up space for any questions you might have about the experience that day, or more generally about the instruments, sound baths, or the other classes and services they offer. I'm not going to lie--the first time I did a sound bath, I actually got motion sick during it. However, the second time I didn't, which just goes to show that each experience is different for me. I feel extremely well-rested afterward, energized yet deeply relaxed. My night's sleep after is amazing--absolutely amazing--and I feel kind of reset for the week in a way that's just different. I definitely need to do these more frequently. I'm thinking maybe attending all the solstice ones would be a good way to keep things going. I went with a friend, and it was her first time as well. She also had a really great experience--similar, yet different. They also have an entire storefront. I didn't have time to go through it, but from what I glanced at while making my way into the room, they have some really cute and adorable items. I know they sell the essential oils used during class, including some of their own blends. The blend used was really nice, and I could definitely see myself going back to get one of their custom blends. Overall, this place is definitely worth it, and you should check them out if you haven't already!

That time, I did not see Dr. Amiot but an assistant. The orthodics were too big for my shoes and so the assistant cut them down with a scissors to fit. They do nothing for my problem. I was told to come back in a month. I found Dr. Amiot very aloof and unfriendly, as was the girl at the desk. I would never go back to that office nor to Dr. Amiot.

Now, however, my hip prevented me from walking almost any distance. My general practitioner recommended I see Dr. Kehoe at Aspen Orthopedics. Dr. Kehoe recommended Dr. Printz for my hip replacement surgery. Since you're reading these reviews, you probably are trying to find a good Orthopedic surgeon. I'd say look no further than Dr. Printz. As far as I'm concerned, he could not have done a better job on my surgery. I'm back to walking three miles a day, six weeks after surgery. I still have a little achiness and swelling, but that's getting better every week. So, if you've got hip pain get it fixed by Dr. Printz ASAP, don't let yourself suffer. Dr. Printz did an excellent job communicating with me and addressing all of my questions. Also, a shout-out to Holly, the doctor's administrative assistant, for giving me sound advice and getting me an earlier surgery date from someone who canceled out. Thanks to everyone at Aspen Orthopedics, especially the New Berlin location, for getting back to being my old self again.

I saw Dr. Amani Maguid a couple of years ago because two epidermoid/keratinous cysts abruptly…read moreappeared on the right side of my forehead--one midway up its front and one above the temple next to the lateral hairline--and I had also a pre-existing sebaceous cyst just inside the center of my upper hairline. She decided to inject all three of the cysts with cortisone, and when I politely asked her what other treatment modalities were available on the off-chance the cortisone didn't work, she snapped, "The cortisone always works!" Well, it didn't work; and as if that weren't enough, she left a small scar over the epidermoid/keratinous cyst midway up the front of my forehead because she ruptured a blood vessel during injection and did a very poor job suturing shut the resulting aperature. (I then made an appointment with the plastic surgeon who operates out of the same building she does, Dr. Dr. Alex Colque, who was able to remove the cysts with minimal scarring.)
