I'm done with Gresham Ulta. I am so sick of their false advertising! Every single time I have gone in to get an advertised item they do not have it! Free gift with purchase? NEVER. What is advertised isn't what you get. It's Christmas and Ulta is offering 20% off your entire purchase. ON THE SAME PAGE as their coupon is a new Urban Decay collection. ooohh pricey at $52 but the colors are really great. But wait - there's a 20% off coupon. I went to my local Ulta store and easily found the Urban Decay display. I also found some eyeliner pencils - I had a blast trying the different colors and finally narrowed my choices down to 2. I waited in line and when my purchases were rung up I was informed that the 20% off coupon does not apply to Urban Decay. Needless to say, I left without buying anything. I do realize that coupons often have exclusions but folks Ulta advertised the Urban Decay collection ON THE SAME PAGE AS THE 20% OFF COUPON. Nasty advertising. read more

Associates are not very pleasant, and I know more about makeup than most of them. Drugstore products are overpriced (L'oreal lipstick costs $8.99 at Ulta and $5.99 at Target, for example). They do have BOGO1/2off and that $3.50 off coupon often, but for the shopping experience, the free stuff and rewards/perks, I choose to spend big at Sephora. The only thing I really would buy at Ulta is nail polish but just if it's discounted. read more

I drove out to Gresham after a really terrible experience at the Lloyd center store. At least an employee acknowledged me long enough to let me into the bathroom here. But I noticed the same stock problem as Lloyd center. There was literally nothing in stock. They didn't even have samples so I could color match and order online. The store was busy so I can kind of understand a little bit of a mess but this was crazy. Once again, it looked like toddlers were finger painting in the samples that did exist. The makeup was strewn all over making it impossible to find anything (if they actually had it) without a lot of frustration. Even the large Ulta brand kiosk in the middle of the store (which is clearly a focal point of the space), was a total wreck and had almost no stock. Hire some teenagers to clean up the mess that all these ladies make and then maybe your stores can actually see what they need to stock!!! I wasn't expecting to walk out with EVERYTHING I needed but at least an idea of color matches so I could spend this gift card online would have been nice. Two stores in the area down, NO LUCK! I was excited about trying some Ulta products but I'm thinking I won't ever have the chance to color match them so it won't be worth it. I'm about to just head to Sephora to color match other items and then order them online because I have to spend this gift card. Pretty confident I won't be returning to an ULTA store which is disappointing because I LOVED them in Atlanta. read more

The Sales associates are rude! I was looking for a matte brown eyeshadow and the sales associate said "its sure hard to find that isn't it?" and she showed me a few metallic shades and walked away. I spoke to Another SA and she showed us some great products and I asked if she could try them on me to show how they apply and she handed me a tissue and showed me how to wipe the products clean so I could apply it myself and walked away. The store was dead and there was only my mom and I. This is a place where you go if you already know what you want, because you aren't going to get any help. read more

I've had a love/hate relationship with Ulta ever since they've come into Oregon, but lately it's more love. In the past I've had experiences with really bad customer service (either employees have ignored me, or straight up rude). The pros outweigh the cons most definitely. They offer drugstore and department store hair and makeup products, which is nice because you can go back and forth to get everything you could possibly need or be looking for. The store is always really clean, which is always a plus. My biggest complaint is their upkeep on the testers of products. The employees need to constantly go through and ditch destroyed testers and replenish, and clean up those areas where customers have just demolished products for everyone else. As for the customer service, it comes and goes. There was a very helpful blonde older gal that has consistently been very nice and helpful to my friend and I. I didn't catch her name, but she's extremely nice! Biggest pro: they sell the brand NYX, and pretty much all of their products in their line! Yay! read more

I'm absolutely picky about who does my hair. I don't let anyone touch it since it fell out after having my son nearly three years ago. My hair was beautiful, very long and strong, then I had my son and it fell out in giant patches. I had to chop it all off and was devastated. Since then I have only trimmed it once and trusted one person only to do my hair- my hairstylist who has also been my best friend for 15 years. She decided to change careers and I was sent looking for a new stylist. Then I found Carmen. I added her on Facebook and saw pictures she posted of her client's hair. Beautiful work. So I took the immediate plunge and decided I needed my hair done by her. Carmen's work is GORGEOUS. my hair is absolutely amazing! I showed her pictures of the type of brown I wanted and then decided I wanted her to take the reins and pick which color. She chose something I wouldn't have picked for myself and it looks amazing with my skin tone. LOVE Carmen! read more

It's really Sad to me that not only is this the only Ulta close to me, I spend on average about 300+$ a month in this store. Only to be treated horribly by one staff member in particular, ( older lady with short gray hair and glasses) On more then one occasion she personally has followed me around the store and accused me of shoplifting. When mind you I WASN'T EVEN HOLDING A PURSE OR BAG OF ANY KIND AND HAD NO JACKET OR POCKETS. The eye pencils I use are on the bottom shelf of the second Ile on the left hand side of the store. When I go in I always go to the right and grab my Tart Makeup which is no less the 28$ each for every item I buy, then I always walk over to the left and get my eye brow pencils (medium brown) back to the point. I set my Tart makeup on top of the shelf and kneeled down to look at the pencils. Then she comes over asking where was the makeup I just picked up across the store? Excuse me lady?? OPEN YOUR DAM EYES AND CHECK YOUR CAMERAS AND DON'T BOTHER PEOPLE WHO SPEND MORE MONEY THEN YOU MAKE IN A MONTH. I hate to use that kinda talk, but I've held this in for months. Not only do I buy my makeup there, I go to the salon and I buy my hair products there as well. It's NOT OKAY to be treated this way. I was never going to speak out until recently when I visit the store and that women is there all the sudden the mall security comes in and follows me around. Really? Get a life, I've never stolen a thing in my life. I work 3 jobs and I'm a single mom. I shop there because I get ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM EVERYONE EXCEPT THIS ONE WOMEN. I scheduled an appt with the salon manager thinking she would be great! The first moment I walked in I received awful service. My appt was at 12 which I came on time and she had a client in her seat, she told me to have a seat and to wait. The way she told me was beyond there was so rude and not only that she did my cut my hair with hair color on her hands before she helped with the client. Once she cut my hair she blow ed dry ed my hair and I thought I would get a style. No there was no style she told me it would cost me more!! I am not paying more when I already paid $50 and the sign said it was 50 for haircut with the style! I am never coming back to this place which I thought would be great. If the salon manager cant honor good service then what can I expect from anyone else. Also, the customer she was helping before my appt was waiting till I was done, so that she can finish up with her. No wonder she didn't want to style my hair. Made an appointment online for a haircut for my son. Came in. We waited. They overhead page our stylist Erica. Erica came out and is talking to another stylist and says " ugh online booked me for 230 and I'm still on my lunch until 248, I can't even clock back in yet." She proceeds to come over to confirm who we are. Tells us "the online scheduling has a glitch in it and made an appointment for me while I'm on lunch. I'm actually on lunch and I can't cut your hair. And I don't have any availability for the rest of the day but there's a barber shop over there around the corner called super cuts. You can go there." I say "so that's it." She's like "yes there was a glitch." She kept repeating there was a glitch. As if I couldn't understand her. I say really, That's it. And she's says yes I'm really sorry about the glitch. Not once did she offer to reschedule us or find another stylist. I would have gladly come back the next day. I say the next day because online showed another stylist with multiple open slots. Not only that but online showed Erica having the 230 time we chose and a 430. So I repeat really so that's it. And she says yes. We walk out the door without a haircut with no let me fix this for you by rescheduling or finding another stylist , NOTHING. It was the worst Customer service I have ever gotten. Don't waste your time here. And I don't believe that online is glitchy like she's trying to tell me. read more

This is regarding the customer service. Wanted to write to you about a manager that you have at the store in Gresham. Every time I go in there & she is working she acts like I'm going to steal something. This has happened a few times now and today was the last straw. I shouldn't have to feel like this. I'm a hard working person that shouldn't have to feel like this every time she is there. I like to go there on my lunch and walk around and sometimes I don't purchase anything- I'm just looking and relaxing on my lunch. I took a couple month break from going there as often as I did because of her. Today I went in there and she was right on me and asked if there was something she could help me with.. I said yes since I was trying to find a perfume that I got a sample of in your brochure. Anyway, she helped me find the perfume and then she walked by the line to make sure I had the perfume. It's so frustrating to have someone make you feel like that. She has brown long hair- curled. I don't know her name unfortuntely. She is the only one that makes me feel uncomfortable and makes me not want to go to the Gresham store. Everyone else there is very nice and doesn't make me feel this way. I do go in there alot since it's close to my house, but if needed I will have to go to the LLoyd Center one to feel more comfortable and not like a criminal. read more

if i could i would give 0 stars. I felt so disrespected there. first of all i had gone to multiple ulta's and stayed on hold on the phone forever trying to find the shape tape tarte concealer. i understand this is an extremely hard product to find. so i called and called and finally i found this store "apparently" had this product in the fair/neutral shade, so i ask them to put it on hold at the gresham location. i get there and do some shopping i get to the counter and tell them my name and what i put on hold. the lady starts looking for the product only to find there is nothing there under my name. the associate asked the other girl at the register if she knew anything about it, at this point, the manager standing behind the counter overhears and just turns around and says "it didn't come in shipment on Friday so we don't have it." seriously? as a manager, you should come over, hear the situation and get to the bottom of it, find out how the miscommunication happened and attempt to fix it. instead, she just turned back around and all i got out from the associate was a half ass apology. so overall i drove over 45 minutes to a location that could have just told me over the phone that they didnt have a product. even in this situation, if i had been treated better by the workers i wouldn't be this upset over it and walked into the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE POSSIBLE. ive worked in retail for over two years and I know how to mediate a situation where a mistake has been made and the the customer is unhappy and that is absolutely NOT how you do it. read more
