Terrible. I've been 3 times now every time the gel comes off. I work at a desk not in water ever. After 4 days all my nails were lifting and peeling off. I called to ask to get them fixed. I came in and she said that it's my fault. 2 nails chipped after 2 days I was not going to say anything then 3 more did it. I payed 35 bucks for them to tell me they only expect gel to last a week. They say it's like that everywhere?!!! It's not. My gel normally lasts up to 5 weeks!!! Even if I'm in water or using chemicals. I will never come back here. Went in for a haircut. They have two chairs only. Their thing is more nails than anything. I was not offered to wash my hair or anything. She cut it dry and supposedly layered it. I was not happy with it! She cut too much when I just wanted a trim. I said exactly what I wanted. The long layer had some areas that were cut too short. My hair was long and naturally curly now I have uneven layers and shorter than what I said I wanted. My husband even got a trim and was charged 18 dollars for an uneven cut and hairs left behind his ears and neck. read more

Hmm find another place is all I'm going to say. It was a Sunday and there weren't many options to chose from. I found out they were open and close by so I decided to give it a try. Bad decision!! The older lady attending to me was opinionated and didn't seem like she wanted to be there. Anyways, I just shrugged it off and decided to just finish up and leave. When my tinting and waxing was done, I mention one of my eyebrows looked weird (hair was missing in a spot). She rushed to say, I didn't do anything. I didn't even touch it. Maybe the last place messed it up. Whatever!! I was getting annoyed by then. Proceeded to get my pedicure done thinking- there's hope. The place can't be in business if it's that bad. Wrong again! Dirty chair tubs and some were breaking. Older lady ended up doing my pedicure too. Rushing and acting all mad through the whole process. Overall, run and find another salon. I was running errands in the area and noticed this nail salon. Needed to clean up my nails a bit, so decided to give them a try. The lady behind the receptionist podium takes me in as a walk-in and tells me to sit at the third nail station. Waited 15 minutes for someone to be available. The lady began my Shellac Manicure, she asked if the color I picked was what I really wanted. I confirmed it was my color choice because my nails are currently short and while I'm working on growing them out, I just want a simple, sheer color. She gives me a look, but continues on. By this time, she's in the process of removing the current Shellac I had on my nails, but I was already having second thoughts on why I chose to walk into this salon. I was already committed, so I decided to continue with the process. As the lady is continuing with the manicure process, I notice she isn't taking the time to clean underneath my nails, as I'm used to at other locations. She was somewhat rushing. Maybe it was because the salon had customers who made appointments and were waiting (for quite some time) because based on the conversations they nail techs were having with each other, they overbooked themselves. Anyway, I mention I'd like underneath my nails to be cleaned. She appeared to be irritated and says something in Vietnamese. I know she was talking about me because one of the other nail techs looks over at me and responds to my nail tech. I'm not Vietnamese and I'm not fluent in the language, but I know some words and can piece what's being said. So, I say a few words in Vietnamese and they all are surprised. They asked if I was Vietnamese. I told them I wasn't, but I do understand some of the language. It came time to put my new Shellac polish on. As the nail tech puts on the first coat, she goes, "I don't like the color." I was taken aback as it's the color I've chosen for MY nails. She continues on. Puts on the second coat and then says again she doesn't like the color. I told her I do. It's the color I've chosen for my nails. Everyone has different taste. By the end, I was utterly dissatisfied with the mediocre (at best) work that was done on my nails. Even then, I still left a gratuity when I paid for the service because I'm not the type not to. Will not be returning to this UNelegant Salon. If you're looking for a local nail salon, find others in the area so it'll be worth what you're paying for. read more

My friend and I wanted to try a new salon.. we both needed a fill and that was made clear when we sat down. We both got charged for full sets. My nails come out HIDEOUS. They were previous pink/sparkly. I wanted yellow and one black with a sunflower... threw the yellow you can see the pink. They didn't reshape them, or cut my cuticles and they're so thick/chunky. When you get home from the haircut and discover you need to finish the job yourself! I'm not a hair stylist! I've never been to cosmetology school! But I'm relatively certain that I can cut all the hairs on a person's head! Especially when there's a 3-4 inch difference between the cut hair and the non-cut hair... Please... I started going to Elegant Salon a couple of months ago when my usual place was too busy to fit me in one day. I had recently discovered I was allergic to acrylic nails and was really sad about that, but found out that elegant salon does something called SNS nails which are an all natural alternative to acrylics. I have not once been disappointed with the service I get there! I see the same lady every time and she treats me amazing!! They really do value their customers. I admit that it is a bit disappointing that they lack a good number of people to do nails when they are busy, but the quality is great. I haven't been back to my old nail place since I started going to elegant salon. I would give them ten stars if I could, solely based on the service I receive. read more

My friend and I were looking for a cheap nail salon today.. I have been to Elegant Salon a few times before and they were just so-so, so I recommended we go there. I called, and they chose the appointment time, which was fine with me. We got there about 5 minutes early, and we sat down. They finally got around to us 15 minutes after THEY set our appointment time. After they finally started, they were too busy chatting to do a decent job. My friends' manicurist stopped doing her nails at least 3 times to talk to her friend.. We were not made to feel like valued customers. I got a shellac manicure, and my friend got acrylics. She wanted them almond shaped, but none of them were the same shape, and not what she wanted, even after she clearly explained twice. Both of her thumbs have chipped nail polish not even 2 hours later.. Myself on the other hand, none of my nails are the same shade of the dark green that I chose. There is shellac left on my fingers around my nails as well. While this was clearly a disaster, the worst part was that all of this took over an hour and a half. Do not recommend. read more

I love this place! You can't beat the 15 min express pedi for 15bucks!!! For $5 more you get the massage treatment! I didn't expect much since it's only $15 (you get what you pay for) however, I've been going to this place for about a year now and I'm always pleased with the service. The same woman does my pedis each time. I normally do the express and the she spends about 1/2 hour cleaning and polishing. She does a wonderful job. I find if you go first thing in the AM they can get you in right away. They tend to get busy with a lot of walk ins so, I'm usually parked outside waiting for the doors to open :) read more
