Worst customer experience ever, I walked out of there in tears! I was trying to exchange two damaged items (eyeshadow)I recived online, they didnt have the colors in stock, so it turned into a big deal I guess! Not helpful, not polite, the store Manager was more rude than the clerk. Completely unapologetic, and made me feel like I was a burden to her. I never want to step foot into that store again, which is sad because its the closest location to me and I love the selections, and great sales! She is very knowledgable about the products and she is always willing to assist me in finding the best product for me, even if it doesn't happen to be the most expensive one. I dont buy a lot of make up I am just learning about new product and have had my eyes opened to the difference in purchasing quality make up. I travel a lot forwork and most ulta stores have been super great in helping be informative and suggesting new product. It doesnt take much to convience me to burn money. After going to the ulta at lloyd center location and feeling snubbed several times I have started making the treck to the Gresham location. I've always had excellent customer service. This time was a bit different maybe I'll blame it in the remodel but the amount of staff vs having to ask someone for help seemed a bit off. I left and came back and the staff that did notice me this time around was great and helpful. Suggested a new product that i purchased even more exciting it came with free product that I was excited to try. Sold. Except they were out of it but not aware of the signs. With as much as I hate the mall I guess I'm switching to sephora the prices may not be a better deal but the service is and I dont feel like I'm bothering staff when I go in there. I'm mostly just bummed that both of the nearest locations of ulta at home have kinda been lame lately because they have been so great when I travel. :( read more

I was in today in at the Gresham Location, my cashier (Lindsey) forcibly signed me up for an Ulta credit card without asking me. She rung me up and wouldn't take my in-store coupon until I press the accept button. I repeatedly asked her what that was for, she finally said that she signed me up for a credit card. I asked her to cancel it. I was not interested in getting a credit card. This is highly illegal, and very inconsiderate, some customers cannot afford to take credit hits. Please coach your employees to be better sales people, and not put your customers in uncomfortable situations like this one. read more

I felt as the employee's are not truthful as i was at checking out i had a 20 percent off coupon sent to my smart phone the employee said for a another 20 percent off to apply for the ulta card as the infomation was completed and it went through she changed what she had said she stated that the first time i was to use the ulta card i would receive a 20 percent off she was untruthful to get a credit card application filled out ......i feel this was really taking advantage of a customer and i will probably now deny the ulta card as i feel as a customer lied to so that the company can benefit from it there is no added 20 % off your purchase only the first time the card is used when received they have lost my trust in them as a long time customer for years and years .......this was not ok to customers.. read more

I purchased a online order from this store. When I arrived I did some shopping. While the associate was ringing up the items I was purchasing I asked if she could also pull my online order. There was another employee nearby and she asked her to help her out, the other employee asked her why she needed help. Her reply was because she had a line. There was only 1 person behind me. Either way, the second employee asked for my info and looked for my order. She couldn't find it. She told me my item was put back because I didn't pick it up on time. I showed her a text , showing the latest date for pick up which was 2 days away.. She referred to some paperwork for more info ( which was great) she was using was the resources that could help her. There was a check mark next to my name, she asked the associate next to her what the check mark meant ( this is the same associate how had just rung up my store purchases) she let out a big sigh and came over to take a look. She replied she did not know what it meant. They both took about 30 seconds to look for my order and it was not located. i was informed my order had been put away. I asked if they could check 1 more time. One of the associates ended up calling a manager asking for help. The manager showed up, entered my information into her handheld, looked under my last name and there it was. I cannot imagine where the other associates were looking , but it wasn't under my name:. I understand we are in a pandemic and employees are stressed out and businesses are understaffed. This seemed to be a training issue. Re-addressing pick up procedures as well as good customer service would be helpful. read more

I completely understand why this store has only 2.5 stars. I went into Ulta yesterday and was there for about an hour and a half just looking around for new products - I had some extra money to spend! Not only was I NEVER approached to see if I needed help finding anything (which I definitely could have used some help) but I wasn't even greeted when I walked in the store. Not one staff member said a word to me the entire time I was in the store (aside from checking out). And keep in mind... it wasn't busy and there were plenty of girls either standing around or constantly walking by me or around me which I'm guessing they were treating me like I was shoplifting... funny thing is I didn't even bring a purse in to avoid that sort of treatment and I spent OVER $200 and had plenty more money in my wallet. The only girl who was slightly nice/helpful was my cashier when I finally made my way to the front of the store to check out. The best part of my entire experience was watching them go up to other customers and ask how they're doing/if they needed help. These girls need to not be so judge-mental. Like am I not pretty enough to approach or something? Jk I know I'm pretty. Anyways needless to say I love going shopping at Ulta - however I can't say I'll be coming back to this one unless I absolutely have too. This place is wonderful! I come down from Tacoma WA to shop at Ulta at Gresham Station because of the people! Last weekend they had the IT Cosmetics special and I had Krista as my makeup artist. She was the best! I was actually in a hurry and didn't want to wait but and she squeezed me in to match my skin color for the cc cream. This store has the best customer service. I am never disappointed there as I am at other stores in Pierce County Washington. Those stores seem to run out of items and free gifts. I started shopping at Ulta in the late 80s in Las Vegas and the store at Gresham Station is worth the three hour trip! read more

I got my hair done back in October and haven't gotten around to write a review. I would like to start off and saw that in the past I had amazing appointments with someone that doesn't work their anymore. The previous girl just had a great personality and really took her time and got my hair to how I liked it. After saying that, I was hesitant to go back to ulta since she wouldn't be doing my hair. I just selected a random stylist. Which was a bad idea. I got Erica L. first of all, my first appointment got canceled because after I explained that I wanted a balayage (what I had gotten previously) she said it would take more time. Then I went back to the rescheduled appointment and I showed up at 10am on the dot, it took half an hour of waiting before she showed up. She called this a scheduling error, but she was the one who personally scheduled me. Throughout the process I was excited to have my hair more blonde, and wearing a mask really helped hide my disappointment when I saw how my hair looked. She did highlights, not a balayage, and they were bad highlights. There was a sharp line between brown and blonde. She saw how my hair looked and thought it was okay to send me home like that. I got home and showed my sister, and had her send a picture to her friends mom (she is a hair stylist) and she called it 'grow out'. After some time freaking out. I showed my dad what I had paid $145 for, and he was not impressed. We went back to the salon and ended up getting two more foils. What upsets me about this, is that she could see how my hair looked and chose not to fix it, and instead waited until I came back. I will never go to ulta to get me hair done again. read more

Went in for a 20-minute facial for the first and last time. I had to wait too long, they didn't practice good hygiene and change the bed before or after me (I watched the previous customer leave and the bed wasn't touched) and the garbage was overflowing to put it mildly. It was just nasty in there. The bottles all had a layer of goo on the outside. She dripped product in my eyes, also. I have to say that Jessica did seem knowledgeable, though, with the little electronic gadget she was using on my face. Other than that, thumbs down. I won't go back. read more

Its definitely worth it to get an Ulta card! I always get great deals, and get coupons once a month. I do have a hard time getting help in here since its such a huge store, and there isn't much staff. If you know what you're looking for then you'll be fine. They have a great sale section in the back by the bathroom, that is definitely worth hitting up before you look for what you need anywhere else. I don't get my nailpolish anywhere else but here, and always come here first for makeup since they have great buy 2 get 1 deals in their ads all the time. read more

I agree parking can be difficult , other than that they have everything you could want beauty wise and perfume and body wise. They also have a clearance section and sales that help and even sometimes samples. The people that work there are usually friendly and helpful. read more

I wanted to return a hair straightener that is brand new and when I went into the store everyone except the manager was decent, the hair straightener I brought in was in just the box without the plastic packaging and I didn't have a recipe being the day after Christmas, and she came over to yell at me saying we don't sell straighteners in the packaging box well I tore open the plastic that it actually came in.
