Clean, bright store with a huge variety of products. Sales persons are pleasant and helpful. Extremely rude workers on the floor for absolutely no reason. Quite literally made a confrontation of an employee-customer interaction which was so unbelievably unprofessional. More specifically, I witnessed an employee who was wearing hot pink 10/9/24 who felt the need to say out loud "don't look at me like that" to a customer in the store. Having witnessed such behavior definitely doesn't make me want to come back! read more

This is actually the worst ulta I have ever been to. The two stars are simply because the workers who work the cash wrap are nice, but the workers on the floor are extremely rude and unprofessional. I couldn't find a product that said it was in stock online and when I asked a worker to please look in the back, she replied that's not something they have here... ummm I worked at Ulta and I know they have a back that you can look for products in frequently. When I went to the second worker to ask she replied that I had already asked someone else and "I got my answer". The other workers on the floor will constantly pester you about the brands they are repping and will refuse to recommend any other product but ones in the brand they work for. read more

Had my brows waxed and tinted. One eyebrow is way darker than the other and still have straggler hairs that weren't waxed. The brow bar has terrible lighting and you don't lay back. Do not recommend at all!! The young lady that did it was very nice though. read more

Ulta must have taken these negative reviews into account - the ones that complain about associates ignoring people and being hard to find - because it seems the store has done a hard swing in the other direction. I was just in Ulta and I had 9 associates (I counted) ask if they could help me in the first two minutes - to the point that I couldn't help laughing. They were coming at me from every direction. And then when I picked up an eyeliner and was walking away, one associate yelled at me from 20 feet away, "WhAt CoLoR DiD YoU Get?!" And I said it was a liner and she yelled again YES BUT WHAT COLOR!?! It was intense. So they were trying to be helpful but it was obvious that they've been trained too hard and now it's like being pecked at by a bunch of birds. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. Management, let your people relax a bit. Take it down like 30%. read more

I recently discovered Athens, GA has an ULTA and I am in love. Lancome is my go-to brand and Sarah Mitchell, the Lancome ambassador and make-up artist introduced me to several new products that changed my face game. She also did my make-up twice and mentored me on contouring. Her spark, great eye, and professionalism will have me coming back regularly. AAA++ customer service! read more

this was literally so stressful. I was asked if I needed help in every single aisle. I couldn't even bend down to look at a product without someone asking if I needed something. I don't ever care because I know it's their job and it is useful when I actually do need help but the manager followed me down 2 aisles and asked me multiple questions insinuating I looked lost and confused and after each "no" to her attempts to assist me she'd say "are you sure". yes I am sure wtf. then asked me if I needed a bag which I said no to and she said she would get me one anyway. I did not want a fucking big ass bag for my single lip liner. and I do not need help finding something as I communicated multiple times. I wanted to be left alone and after saying no to the first 10 employees is it not clear? the aisles are not hidden from one another, I know it was heard by other employees. i ended up putting everything back and leaving because I was so overstimulated and felt watched. like being so serious I could not enter an aisle without someone watching me or asking me something. the employees left me alone after I said no the first time, but there were so many (I know it's their job to ask) but oh my god please. the manager was weird and I was overwhelmed. I know the employees were just doing what they are supposed to, no hate to them. Just don't go here if u want to browse New products. read more

Staff very rude and not helpful! Will not be back to this location! I purchased an eye pencil along with a few other things. Left & checked my bag- $16 eye pencil was not in bag. Went back to store with my receipt and asked cashier at pick up area to check if one was left. She said no without even checking with other cashiers. I insisted it was left so she went and asked another worker who said no without even checking at the registers.. Worst customer service at store! read more

DO NOT GET YOUR HAIR CUT AT THIS SALON! I went there Saturday night to get a trim. Didn't think it would be a huge deal. When I finished up it was hard to tell if the hair cut was ok or not so I left the store thinking it would be ok. I get home and restyle my hair because I wasn't too impressed with how I left, but I can be picky about style. The next day it felt a little uneven and weird running my fingers through, so I decided to wash, blow dry, and straighten on my own to see where the layers hit. That's when I realized my hair was butchered. I called the salon on Monday morning where I spoke to the salon manager and she insisted she could fix it. I was ok with this until I had spoke to a friend that is a hair stylist who said that my hair was so unprofessionally cut that she would highly recommend I get my money back and go somewhere else. I decide to go up to the store to show the manager how bad it was and ask for my money back. She insisted she could fix it and I just told her I would rather go somewhere else. She told me that If i go anywhere else they would have to "chop" my hair off and that she could fix it. I told her no I don't want my hair cut there again and she told me "Sorry I couldn't help you" and walked away leaving me standing at the middle of the store not having a clue what I was suppose to do. I watched her walk over to the store manager, whisper something in her ear, and the store manager gave me my refund. I felt as if I had done something wrong and left crying. This is not how someone should be left to feel after getting any beauty service done. I'm extremely disappointed. read more

Always loving coming to Ulta. Rachel in the salon is absolutely amazing, gave me the best cut I've ever had and is so sweet. Delaney (brows) does a wonderful job as well and is very personable. I recommend both of these wonderful women and thank the rest of the staff for always being so kind and eager to help. read more

This is a newer and cleaner store than the Gainesville or Buford locations but it suffers from the exact same issues... Associates are nowhere to be found and, if they just happen to be around, they avoid making eye contact or offering any kind of assistance. I usually go into Ulta with a plan and make my purchase without needing help, but it would be really nice to know that help is there if I need it. Not at Ulta. It's definitely no Sephora. Oh, and checkout times. When the line backs up around the corner and there's only one cashier, call for help! It's not a bad thing to try to get people checked out in a timely manner. read more

Can't say enough good things about the salon! I was able to get a last minute appointment with Victoria (Tori) Boswell, and she was wonderful. I'm always a little skeptical when someone new cuts and colors my hair, but she put me at ease right away. She was friendly, took her time with me, did exactly what I asked her to do (I got a cut and partial highlights, for reference), and even gave me pointers on how to style my new cut. My daughter went here to get her hair colored espresso brown (which is close to her natural color) from bleach blonde hair. I have been going to Ulta myself since 4/2016 in NY until 2020 and in Atlanta since. I never had a problem and had professional and experienced stylists/colorists. My daughter was quoted $200 which I thought was high but to get the color done right I thought ok. It ended up costing $295. She was not given her first time 20% off OR $10 olaplex f which is advertised through out the store but ok . Her stylist who I shall not name did the absolute WORST blowout I have EVER seen and used the flat iron and curling iron on damp hair. WHAT? My daughter has naturally curly hair however does amazing blowouts on her own. And has always had great blowouts at every salon. Her hair was on the dry side going in but looked fried after she came home. The blowout wasn't a top priority but the technique used by this stylist, flat iron/curling iron on damp hair?????? Clearly did damage. My daughter has had to deep condition 3 times since her visit and now looks and feels soft and healthy. read more

Despite the negative reviews I read here I decided to go into this store today since I was already in the area. I was pleasantly surprised. The store was clean and well stocked. I did find some of the testers to be a bit messy but hey, they are testers and used by the public! The store itself was clean. There seemed to be plenty of associates working, I was greeted when I entered the store. I needed help finding a product and the young lady that I asked very politely helped me. But no one hovered over me, which I found refreshing in a store such as this. I know in other similar stores I've been pounced upon as soon as I enter and pretty much hounded to try this or that, or look at this or that rather than what I came in to purchase. There was a bit of a line when I went to check out, but there were 3 cashiers working and the line moved quite quickly. I'll be back! I went to Ulta yesterday to get my brows waxed and tinted.When I got home and looked at them good I noticed they are very uneven and one is tinted nearly black sure different from the other one. I called the girl and she told me what to do about the one that was dark . Well I did and it didn't work.Ashamed to go any where. Want be going back. read more

Sam is SO sweet! I went in without any makeup on, not feeling super confident.. I needed someone from Ulta to do my makeup because I have such a hard time finding makeup for my skin and honestly I don't know how to apply it very well. I also needed makeup for my upcoming wedding. As soon as my friend and I walked into the store Sam walked up to us with a huge smile and greeted us. I told her my problem and things I needed and she did my entire makeup and made me feel like she enjoyed my presence.. she really made me feel beautiful and she really wanted to help. I bought almost everything she used and she even taught me exactly how to use it. read more

My brows are horrific. I went in for a wax and tint and the girl made it seem like I was the biggest inconvenience. My brows are extremely uneven and I had spent MONTHS growing them out and now it's gone. There's no tint to them. None. I cannot believe that I paid $34 for my brows to be worse than when I walked in. read more

I love Ulta stores and am happy this one finally opened in Athens, GA. They are clean and well stocked. Wonderful rewards points program, I'm always getting great coupons emailed to me and special discounts throughout the year. They also have a brow-bar and a hair salon inside. Went in for a specific item that I had already checked to make sure was in stock, and when I went in, I was told that they could not check to see what they had in the back if it wasn't out on the sales floor. You lost a sale and a customer! I will think twice before I come back!!! read more

I have been shopping at the Athens-Epps Bridge Ulta for 3 years now. I am a Diamond member and spend my money here if not online. I always visit Cheryl at the Salon (she's amazing) for my facials and find what I need and then some in the merchandise area. Most of the employees are helpful, and they seem to be well-staffed. The only negatives that I've experienced are that the employees at times will sit around discussing personal and sometimes inappropriate topics around customers (including their frustration with hours and co-workers) and the dreaded checkout line that always seems to be long no matter what time I go. read more

I decided to give this Ulta store a chance even after reading not so favorable reviews about other stores. I should have known better...bad customer services as well as incompetencies appears to be consistent across the board. The first two visits were "meh," but only because I already knew what I wanted. The third visit was just strange because I was there to purchase a flat iron but the sales rep kept pushing for me to get my hair done by the store's stylist even though I had already explained to him that I had one. Mind you, his hair was fried and dried. A bit too pushy and very unprofessional and from the looks of it, the stylist on duty that he kept promoting was not doing anything so grand at the time that made me want to seek her services. The fourth visit was the final determinant that either something has drastically changed or maybe I did not do a full assessment the first few visits. I went in the week before Black Friday to purchase my regular items but I was interested in purchasing some fragrances as well in the very near future. I grabbed my items and found a sales rep and asked if she had any samples of two or three fragrances. With the worst condescending tone ever, she said NO, we don't do samples. I said, "Okay, what DO you do because during my first visit here I saw a sales rep give someone a sample of a fragrance to try or maybe I was just imagining things." She totally ignores my reply and proceeds to tell me she worked for Belk earlier this year and even they have gotten away from giving away samples. My reply to that..."That is not true, I just received a sample of Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb from Belk at the Mall of Georgia but anyway congratulations on your promotion to Ulta." I walked off because obviously I was JUST a customer. read more

I love Claris and was happy to see that Ulta carries some essentials... unfortunately there seems to be only one person who may be in the store on a given Fri, Sat, or Sun who knows the line. Every time I go in - nope he's not there, this acclaimed Clarín expert. Every other employee tries to get me to switch to the product they know or are trying to move to earn a bonus. Also the product 'testers' are, I guess for customers to stick their fingers in. No testing supplies are any where in site. Will continue to drive to ATL. read more
