**Images show finger infection** My regular nail salon was booked so I decided to tried out Green Nails. When I arrived, they were super sweet and wanted to make sure they understood what I wanted. When I left I was very happy with my nails, but the next day I noticed white bubbles under two of my nails and very tender to touch. I decided to go to the doctor because they hurt so bad and looked very infected. Come to find out two of my fingers were infected due to Green Nails not cleaning their tools like they should. I will never be back and I just wonder how many others have been infected by them as well. read more

Went in for a mani pedi.. came out with a risk for infection. I've been here several times for just a pedi, never had a problem. I actually thought this was my 'new spot'... not so fast. Was seated rather quickly in a spa pedicure chair. a young lady came over and handed me a price sheet. I chose the $35 pedicure. I didn't see a price for a manicure but I wasn't worried b/c I have money. Another young lady walks over with a spray bottle and a fresh mani tool set and puts a towel and pillow on my lap. I had NEVER in my life had a mani WITHOUT a bowl of water to soften my cuticles, but today was a new day. She proceeds to spray my hands with the water, AFTER she attempted to cut my cuticles. I was confused but hey, maybe this is a new method. I was wrong. My cuticles are bleeding. I didn't say anything bc i was sure she would put some sort of antiseptic on it.. Negative. She continues with a bare minimum manicure. She asks to 'cut down'. I decline. She gets ready to polish my nails and asks me to pay! like what?! how? when neither of them was done with my services. Im livid but I ask how much. She states it's $50. I give her exactly $50. side note, Im a tipper. a very good one. b/c I believe in giving a person that extra not only bc they do a great job but b/c I couldn't do the service myself, so they normally deserve it. but anywho, I didn't tip. 1. b/c i felt violated. 2. i felt like i received less than sub par services. 3. I was mad. She polished my nails, OVER the bleeding cuticles. but with an attitude and also with stopping to talk, several times, to other people. She was very rude. long story short, I WILL NEVER return to this establishment and if I get any type of infection or otherwise around my cuticles, they will see me in court. I came home and washed my hands and put ointment on each of my cuticles so prayerful there will be nothing further. Mora of the story, you get what you pay for. On the other hand, i felt bad for the other young lady, slightly, bc she did do a good job BUT she should've told her coworker to tighten up bc she made both of them plus the establishment look bad. update: my cuticles are swollen and very painful. so not happy. read more

I went to this nail salon yesterday. My nails and toes came out well, but the young girl who did my fingers is extremely rough and didn't take her time. She was very quick and caused several cuts on my fingers. I said it hurt many times and asked her to be gentle but she didn't. She was just trying to get done with me as quick as she could. I paid $80 for a gel manicure and a sugar scrub gel pedicure. When my feet were being done, the lady didn't scrub them enough. Note I am very ticklish but that is no excuse as to trying to work with me instead of just stopping. Now my fingers hurt today and you can't complain. Because they have a big sign at the front of the store that has "their policies" which I'm pretty sure they can't do some of those policies. Like saying they are not responsible for injuries done to you? I mean... the nail technician was very rough with me to the point I have little cuts on my cuticles. I'm also pretty sure they didn't "clean" the utensils that well. They have boxes they carry around and place the already used items back in the original containers. I didn't notice until she was done with me and I saw them do this. Their policy sign also has a large amount things you will do or they will deny you service. It just doesn't seem right... Anyways, I'll give them three stars because my toes and nails do look pretty. But the service was awful and I felt like I didn't really get what I paid for. I went to relax and have a day for myself. This place is hit or miss. They put you in a chair and leave you. No communication, no update when you will be seen. Sat in a chair for a simple manicure for 30 minutes. Workers standing around no explanation of why I wasn't being assisted. Finally left. The 2nd time I have left this place with no service. Won't happen a 3rd time. I got SNS on my fingers and gel on my toes. I wanted both colors to match and made that very clear. The man gave me swatches that had polish, gel, and SNS colors to match. I choose butterscotch but apparently they didn't have the matching SNS in stock. So the man chose another color without telling me. They turned out orange and mauve. Clearly 2 diff colors. I told the man that and he agree but I didn't have time to deal with it and get them redone. I go back and the man files my nail down, not even removing all the color before doing 5 more coats on top of the two that were already there. They are thick and poorly done. CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS!! Manager repeatedly suggested it was my fault like I chose those colors together. NEVER GOING BACK! read more

The place is spotless and so clean! It's super modern and beautiful; plus, everyone is so nice inside. I really have no complaints. Everything was up to my standards. I had to wait a little bit but that's typical for a busy Saturday. My manicurist did a great job and didn't hurt me while doing my nails. Prices aren't too hard on the wallet either. They are rude and have no customer service for being very closely involved with people. They tried to tell me what kind of service I previously had and got upset when I told them it was not SNS just acrylic so all I needed WAS a fill in. They painfully pulled the acrylic off. I get my nails done consistently so I know what it's like in the salon and the customer interactions and comfort but this place did nothing to make one feel comfortable or that they knew what they were doing. I do not live in athens so it was just to get by while I was in town but definitely not coming back read more

This is really 4.5 stars out of five but fractions aren't options. I actually ended up here by accident because my regular nail salon is closed on Sundays, and I was thrilled to find a spotless spa with a huge selection of gel colors as well as regular colors. Bonus: they do simultaneous mani/pedis, which was standard where I used to live but isn't here. Jade and Tim were the techs and they were fantastic (Tim was a bit heavy-handed with the cuticle cutters so the styptic liquid came out and a couple of my fingers stung for a few days after). Everyone was polite and efficient and I was out in under an hour. This is my new nail salon. read more

My mother and I got manicures together and we each had a bad experience. I was cut 2 times while she was getting the cuticles removed. All she did was wiped away the blood off my finger and said sorry. I am usually more understanding however, to do it 2 times is ridiculous. My mother got the deluxe manicure and her tech kept pushing her to put her jewlery in a bag when my mom wanted to put in her purse. She was very pushy. Then she was very rough with the massage on my mother shoulders a d neck. It caused my mother to have a headache and brusing on her shoulders. read more

They're gel acrylics and they looked great but the job was rushed and I knew enough glue wasn't applied but I assumed it'd be fine. Disappointed since I was hoping this would be my new go-to. I used to love it here. It's clean and bright and they do a pretty good job, not great but pretty good. The employees just act like you are bothering them. They seem to rush and are pretty rough. I always seem to have a weird time when I come here. This is the 3rd time I've visited and this time requested a simple service of only a manicure. After waiting 20 minutes and seeing 2 ladies go before me I questioned when I would be seen. A lady with bright blue colored contacts came up to me and rudely asked what I wanted. I stated a simple manicure that would only take 5-10 minutes. She said "oh that's will be 30minutes" I said 30 minutes to wait? Very disappointed in the quality of the service that I received. Within a week my SNS chipped on more than four nails. I went back to ask for something to fix the problem and she told me I had to pay full price for another set because it was done to thin. That means they did it to thin!! i went here with my bestfriend to get my nails done for homecoming. We went in for pedicures and already knowing my feet arent the best i was a little hesitant to get that done. The guy who was working didnt say hi to me or anything. then we get into the process of the pedicure ans he asks if i want a deep clean or just regular -- i said deep clean. he made me bleed all over and it was the worst experience ever. at one point i flinched and he said, "ohhhhh did that hurt?" in a joking manner. i literally came to the point of breakdown crying because the entire time he was just like- "wow you have terrible terrible feet" or "you really need to get this done more often because this is terrible". this is after i got diagnosed with a skin condition that same day. then on after the laughing at me and telling me how disgusting i was - i made my boyfriend come in to comfort me. So i gave him my card to go pay because i didnt want to deal with this guy anymore. he then takes MY CARD OUT OF MY BOYFRIENDS HAND!!! he then overcharged me after putting me through this miserable hell. I was really excited when this placed open up. It's just minutes away from where I live, and my first impression was this is a clean, modern salon with good prices. However, after visiting a handful of times, the owner or manager has put me off. Besides not being the most personable, the last time I was there he tried to remove my SNS polish by having me soak my finger tips in acetone for 10 minutes instead of putting acetone on a cotton ball and wrapping each nail individually. This method sucked out all the moisture from my fingers and became very uncomfortable. I had to refuse putting my hands back in the acetone MULTIPLE times before he agreed to remove the polish using the other method. I'm sure it's cheaper to have someone just soak their fingers in acetone instead of taking two minutes to wrap each finger in aluminum foil, but the customer's comfort should come first. My recommendation: go to sugar polish nail salon, which is just as clean and modern, yet the owner/manager is the absolute best. read more

This was one of the worst pedicures I've ever gotten. I got the special jelly pedicure which was super cool. The massage was like 3 minutes on each leg and no pressure at all, and the girl used her finger nails and scratched my legs as a part of the massage...weird. They did not get all of my nail polish off before they put on my new coat. They did not exfoliate my feet at all. For a $50 pedicure...I want a refund and will never return. She made my toes bleed too and hurt really bad. read more

This place deserves 5 stars... The staff is so nice!! And most importantly, it is super clean. I usually get a cheaper $25 pedi, but they do a good job up selling you. I usually end up around $35-65 on a pedi now, but it is worth it. Also, the jelly one is super cool. Beware of their notice. Extremely unfriendly staff, and they made their notice so they can get away with their bad attitude and poor jobs. More specifically, the lady who did my pedicure was extremely rude...snapping at me for putting my feet too close together. There were 2 inches between both of my feet. Up to that point she was unfriendly, putting in little to pedicure (barely massaging, not filing my nails correctly, etc.). Then they forgot that I also wanted a manicure, making me wait after people who came in after me. When I got the manicure (no polish), he barely put in any effort. You can't even tell I got one done. PLEASE spend your money elsewhere!! This is the first time I have ever written a bad review about something. I'm normally one to go with the flow and not say anything that may be bothering me.
