Always a winning experience at Ukrops! I was there on 12/23/25 and the place was PACKED! The line went all the way around the store, but the wait was worth it. The unique, food items, the monthly specialty cakes, the prepared sides (that Mac n' cheese!), the fried chicken, the deviled eggs, the ham on White House rolls, the cookies and baked goods, the banana pudding, the salads, and so much more!! Everything is organized and clean, and the staff is impeccable!! Love this place!!

A Richmond staple!!! You can't go wrong with Ukrop's foods and baked goods. We got the fried chicken, blueberry muffins and cupcakes. The fried chicken always a hit. The market is always clean and inviting. Customer service is A1

Absolutely delicious! We got sliders, pizza, cucumber salad, and drinks. I came with my toddler and both of us loved everything we tried. The staff was so nice. We came during lunchtime and despite the line being long it went quickly. They have seating inside as well as outside. The indoor seating area is upstairs, but they do have an elevator for accessibility. We will definitely be back!

This is a Richmond staple. The entire market is so clean and the outside area is so nice in the warm weather. The seating available is great but the real highlight is the food. The fried chicken is amazing but the rest of the hot bar is hit or miss. The real stars are in the prepared sides, like the different potato salads and the AMAZING cakes. The sister demands a ukrops cake monthly because they have THE BEST frosting ever. I cannot recommend this place enough whether it's just for a lunch or picking up fridge essentials.

Made my inaugural visit to the Ukrop's Market Hall today. Sadly, I was a bit underwhelmed. Don't know what I was expecting, but it wasn't this. That said, the place was very busy, so could be I'm in the minority in my take. On the plus side. Every person working there was warm and welcoming. The hall is very clean and had plenty of seating upstairs. On the meh side was the selection of hot items, as well as packaged items. Honestly, for the latter, I can get much of the same at any Kroger's. Since it is located in a part of town I never frequent and there is nothing unique about the place, I doubt I will ever return.

Ukrop's is just so Richmond. My partner wanted to celebrate his birthday with a Ukrop's breakfast pizza so we decided to check out this spot. Ukrop's Market Hall carries all of Richmond's favorite Ukrop's goodies from rainbow cookies to frozen meals to chicken salads and more. My partner grew up getting food from Ukrop's so getting some slices of breakfast pizza was a nostalgic treat for him. I loved how brightly lit the space was. All of the food is on a lower level, but you are able to go to the second floor that is filled with tables to eat. You can also preorder goodies. There was a lot of parking available in the lot outside. The people who work here are super sweet and smiley. If you're looking for throwback foods from Ukrop's and your Richmond childhood, I highly recommend visiting Ukrop's Market Hall.

Ukrop's Market Hall is a well-known favorite in RVA. I visited for the first time and was very impressed by the selection. The market is full of ready-made meals, sides, and baked goods. Between the rainbow cookies, freshly made biscuits, cakes and breads, it was hard to not buy everything. If you are looking for a holiday treat for a family gathering, you can preorder online. Especially for Thanksgiving, Easter, and Christmas. I was able to order a pecan pie to bring to family out of town that hard heard the hype around Ukrop's and wanted to try it for themselves. Everyone there was super happy and helpful, even though it was insanely busy inside. There's an outdoor seating area if you want to buy a treat or meal to eat there. You won't be disappointed with the quality or quantity of delicious options!

Ukrops Market Hall is very hidden by other surrounding buildings. I love that they have the market hall so you can get your favorite ukrops products! I went in to get a King Cake for Mardi Gras and I was looking around, They have all kinds of delicious cakes, fried chicken that's fresh. Which I got the fried chicken and Mac and cheese. It was delicious. They even have outdoor seating which is very nice! I highly recommend. They were out of the boneless chicken but I got chicken legs instead the guy that helped me was very nice.

Oh my goodness, how this place has been open for two years and I didn't know? Love Ukrops and it was awesome to have a whole shop vs a small section in the grocery store. The place was spotless and EVERYONE was smiling, friendly, and helpful! And of course food was tasty! Selection of baked goods and prepared foods was great!

Ukrops was a core childhood memory for me going to the grocery store and getting the pizza to go, or the potato wedges, and I love that I can get them again! Everything is delicious just as I remember it and so nostalgic. I went around 8:30 to get a breakfast pizza to take home. There were quite a few people waiting for pizzas and picking up last minute items for Christmas. I had to wait around 20 minutes which was pretty good considering how busy it was - and definitely worth it! The staff is very friendly, and you can get your pizza cut into 8,10, or 12 slices, so it's a great option for a group gathering / potluck. Best pizza in town! The crust is so fresh! They also have lots of grab and go options for desserts, side dishes, and easy lunches. Highly recommend stopping in to see all that there is to offer from this Richmond staple!

I wasn't sure what to expect with this food hall. I had been wanting to try it, but hadn't met many people who had been. When I finally made it out there, I was sorry I hadn't gone sooner. They had a mix of hot and cold food options. I got the fried chicken and absolutely loved it. Of course there were amazing dessert options. Also, for whom it may concern, there in indoor seating on the second floor. There is an elevator too. It was so easy to take my stroller through this market. Clean, pleasant, efficient. There is also outdoor seating with some space to play for littles. Just saying...

Bright and airy space, almost like a spa!…read more Quiet when I came in weekday afternoon. Calming spot to grab a treat, get some work done/journal, or catch up with friends in an aesthetic and modern cafe. Ordered the paradise tea with mango and avocado. I loved the textures and layers of flavors. The drink was filling and lasted me a while, not watery but refreshing. The mango tasted fresh and avocado creamy. I haven't tried the pastries at this location, but have at their other Richmond cafe. Great cakes and buns made fresh in-house. Easy to find parking at the lot outside. Service is pretty quick.

The ambiance was clean and orderly. Upon entering, you grab a serving tray lined with parchment and some tongs. The items are in a glass enclosed display that you have to open and place your selections on your tray for purchase. I settled on the pistachio cream filled pecan pastry, the almond twist, and strawberry shortcake. The beverage menu was extensive: matcha, flavored teas, cocoa, espresso/coffee, and more. We were greeted by pleasant staff at checkout and our orders placed in a parchment type bag for take out. They also have seating inside. The pastries were just sweet enough without being overly sweet, which I like. The pistachio cream was a perfect compliment to the pecan encrusted pastry. The almond twist was both flaky and crunchy with the sliced almonds on top, and the strawberry shortcake had layers of real strawberries, whipped topping and yellow cake that was moist. All were fresh. All in all, a great place to stop by for a morning pastry treat and tea/coffee while in the area,

There is good signage. It's now a take out only establishment since Covid. Two table are available for outdoor seating. Most customers took their orders and walked away. I visited them on a Sunday afternoon just after St. John's let out. It's just one block away and the church Patrick Henry gave a speech. There were a lot of church goers enjoying the business. Proper has a menu in the window to guide customers on choices of savory, or sweet. I wanted one of each. The man at the window was great in providing recommendations. I ordered the steak and cheese as well as the Banoffee. The preparation is already done and the man with assistant moved quickly to complete my order. I enjoyed my treats at their outdoor table and also enjoyed conversation with locals. I started with the steak & cheese which was loaded with meat and cheese. DELICIOUS! Then onto the Banoffee which smelled heavenly of cocoa. Another home run! I love bananas and if you do too this will be enjoyable. So glad I found them open on my visit. There hours are very good, but I have missed them in the Summer before on vacation. Just go, no brainer.

The market and cafe is where you go if you actually want to buy something. And trust me, you want to buy something. A majestic display greets the viewer. While desserts are indulgent and full of ingredients that bust up some people's diets, this place had a small selection of vegan and gluten-free options that did not look like things you'd regret ordering. I got a peanut butter pie which had a chocolate layer and a graham cracker crust. I wish I'd split it up into multiple sittings because it was so indulgent, but somehow I stuffed it down. Someone ahead of me was trying to order something that this place was out of and was redirected towards their chocolate caramel cake. Given that I still remember eating that cake during the peak of the COVID era some four years ago, I really would not second guess the opportunity to order a slice.
