If you know me, you know ! This is an amazing Japanese cuisine location on Cape Cod. The taste and presentation are phenomenal. It's definitely worth visiting; I'll be coming back plenty of times for the chef's food.

Great food, good service. Nice outdoor seating. Reasonable prices. Rice and ramen bowls around $20.

What a hidden gem! Some of the best sushi I've ever had! The flavors are inventive but don't…read moreoverpower the clean taste of the fresh, delicious fish. Had a great time sitting at the sushi counter, chatting with the chef and watching him do his thing, and getting his recommendations on sake and other items on the menu. Service was excellent as well. An amazing meal start to finish, can't wait to go back!

Oh my god. This was hands down the most unbelievable, unexpected and best sushi we ever had…read more Ten Yen is off the charts amazing. So long story short. My wife wanted sushi. We found this place. We showed up. Small restaurants no seats available. We decided to wait to see if there 7:15 reservation was going to be a no show and bam, 2 seats came available at the sushi bar. Ok so the menu is small, but the food and presentation are huge. We started with the shrimp and garlic shumai and crispy sticky chicken. The shumai were Light, fresh flavorful like bites of heaven. They were so good we ordered a second order. The crispy sticky chicken were so flavorful and perfectly cook little pieces of pure delight. Amazing presentation to add to it. So then we heard the owner tell someone the specials, one of which was a scallop chowder. We decided to order a bowl. So far, just like everything else, it was the best chowder we have eaten. Loaded with scallops in a silky cream broth. We were just wowed!!!! Then we ordered the double dragon maki and Tidal wave roll. Both were beyond fresh. The sushi was ice cold, the vegetables were crisp and the rice they make tasted like nothing I have had before. The best sushi rice I have tasted. To finish it if we had a piece of Maguro and Chutoro nigiri. I know I keep saying this, but the freshest and best tasting sushi we have ever had. The owner who I believe his name was Mike, took the place one notch high with his knowledge and skills. For such a small place the atmosphere and ambiance was high because of his personality and skills. 100% coming back to Cape Cod (Orleans) just so we can come here again. Sorry there are not more pictures. We were so amazed at the food and watching the owner prepare it, I forgot to take more pictures. We then ordered the

The Brazilian Grill, Hyannis…read more My wife and I ate at the Brazilian Grill in Hyannis for lunch today. Short version: The restaurant is inviting, comfortable, and well laid out. The staff is engaging and friendly - even after my trying out the little bit of Portuguese I know! And, the food is plentiful and delicious! The value is tremendous! We are looking forward to going back again (maybe in a couple of weeks ) !! As we walked into the restaurant, we could see what looked like a pastry counter (they make their own cakes, flan, etc.) to the left and the massive "salad bar" directly ahead through an interior window. Once we were seated, we ordered drinks and the took a spin around the salad bar. That salad bar has so much more than salad! It is one of, if not the best salad bars I have seen. Sure, there were Caesar and garden salads with the usual toppings, but also hot options like "lobster soup" (like a bisque), squash soup, several fish dishes (cod, shrimp, etc.), some type of fritter that was delicious, polenta, mashed potato, sweet potatoes, etc. The cold options included veggies, cheeses, breads, various fruit, cold cuts including Prosciutto di Parma & pineapple, tabouleh, sliced mozzarella, tomato, and cucumber, seafood salad (muscles, shrimp, calamari, etc., tossed with a some veggies), hummus, chicken salad, potato salad, deviled eggs, and a dozen other dishes I can't think of at the moment. (See the attached pictures). What I sampled from the salad bar (both hot and cold) was excellent. The gauchos waited for us to return to our table. Soon after, they arrived with skewers of meat (Rodizio) ready to carve for our plates. They carve as you grab hold of the slice with what are essentially oversized sugar tongs. They will carve as much as you like from as many different meats as you like. They visited us multiple times... We had baby prime, prime sirloin, flank steak, homemade sausage (chorizo and also not hot), NY Strip, Filet, chicken wrapped in bacon, and a few others. After a while, we turned our signal cards over to show red (indicating Chega!, or "no more!"). We had a wonderful, leisurely lunch. No pictures of the Rodizio - I was too busy putting slices of meat on my plate! A gentleman seated at a nearby table heard us oohing and ahhing about the salad bar and the carved meats. He suggested we try the chocolate cake for dessert. We all laughed because we really didn't have room for dessert. But we ordered it anyway, and also a flan (I happen to love flan)! The desserts were amazing! We ordered a second piece of chocolate cake to take home! Our waitress brought us a small box for the meat trimmings for our dogs (and taught us the Portuguese word for dog), a box for some leftover dessert, and another box with the extra piece of chocolate cake, along with the bill. Since people usually ask, the entire bill (2 Rodizio, 2 alcoholic drinks, a coke, 3 desserts, and a generous tip) came to $175 including tax. An excellent value so far as we are concerned. Now, my wife and I have a standard for comparing restaurant bills on Cape Cod. It's based on a restaurant on the lower cape that was recommended to us a few years ago by some folks in this group, as well as by a local nearby shop owner who said it was good for burgers. At that restaurant, we each had a burger & fries (mine was a cheese burger). I also had a rather limp and unsubstantial side salad. We each had an alcoholic drink, and I had a coke as well. It was good, meaning not great - just "meh" or "OK." We did not go back because that "burger and fries" lunch came to $110 (all in with an average tip) ~3 years ago. Definitely not worth it. And so, it is how we judge good food/value... Today's equivalent (leaving off the desserts, adjusting the tax and tip accordingly to match the "burger and fries" lunch) was $140 (all in for steak and a substantial salad bar). Paying a little more for what we consider unquestionably and substantially better food and service is well worth it! No question that the pattern we have seen on Cape Cod continues: really excellent food for ~$30+/- more than just "OK" or "meh" food of lesser quality and average service.
