Good small sushi shop. This is a covid era review, so I'm going lead off with the excellent precautions these people are taking to keep themselves & their customers safe. You order ahead and when you arrive you call. They bring the food to the door so you can safely pick up the food from the outside. They're safe & you're safe. It's a small shop, primarily focused on takeout. Don't expect to be able to eat here (once the pandemic is over). It's one of the few sushi only restaurants in the area. The rice was fresh, ordering was easy, and everything had a good presentation. I ordered a side of regular rice and it was large enough to easily split with another person. Looking at some of the other reviews I'm struck by their unfairness and really, their ignorance as well. Per FDA regulations all fish served as sushi in the United States must be hard frozen to kill pathogens (except tuna). So anyone complaining that they saw the fish being thawed or that the fish wasn't "fresh" does not know what they are talking about. read more

There's better sushi at stop and shop. They're lucky I just drove 6+ hours and am too lazy to drive down to get a full refund. Got a sushi delux and the avocado salad. Oki is a hole-in-the-wall Japanese restaurant hiding on route 6A in Brewster, MA. Although Oki has some seating (4 tables with mismatched chairs), it is not an eat-in place. The miso was served in take-out containers, and the sushi was arranged on styrofoam plates with no soy dishes in sight. Despite the lack of atmosphere, the service was friendly. The sushi itself was OK. It was better than most grocery store sushi, but nothing to write home about. 2-3 stars. Might do in a pinch for a picnic elsewhere. If there was a 0 star rating, I would give it. Honestly I never write bad reviews ever... but this place. Gross gross gross. First of all so expensive for Stop n Shop sushi. That's basically what it is. You'd probably get better sushi at Stop n Shop and that says something. I gave this place two separate tries months apart. The most bland tasting sushi with literal globs of mayo on top, I will add, it most definitely wasn't fresh fish either. Pretty solid sushi joint. I was carving sushi and I was surprised that there aren't a lot of sushi places in the Cape. After searching Yelp, I came across Oki Sushi. This is definitely a take out place -- so come in, order and be prepared to take it home with you to eat. Between my boyfriend and I, we ordered five different types of sushi (two veggie types, one salmon, one tuna and one yellow fish), one miso soup and one edmane. For a take out joint, it was pretty pricey at $44 for all our food. I loved my sushi and edmane and so did my boyfriend. We were both too full to eat the soup, though. Bummer. We ordered the party boat and it was just only 7 pieces of sashimi and a California and avocado roll not even 8 pieces but 6 per roll. I thought that if i would be spending 50 dollars for a party boat i would get fancy rolls not the regular ones. The sushi and sashimi is always fresh, and the specialty rolls are pretty inventive for such a small-scale place. I was surprised to find sushi this good in Brewster, MA, of all places. Then again, don't forget you're buying sushi in a strip mall hidden behind a Cumby's in Brewster, MA, Purely takeout. Not terribly pricey. Not a fan. Only place open on Easter Sunday. Had a craving. Bad lighting. No sake/beer. Plastic plates and spoon. Ordered teka maki and they got it wrong. Hamachi & tuna order was small pieces on tasteless rice. Spider toll was made with a crab dried days ago and refrigerated- mot crisp and no taste. Spicy tuna topped specialty roll had no flavor but a very nice texture. Young son who took my order was not very friendly. I eat sushi a lot at home and I'm kind of a sushi snob, so I was happy to see that Brewster has a sushi place close by. They've got a pretty extensive menu, but this place is really just a take-out place. They only have 4 tables in the restaurant and there is really nothing appealing about the atmosphere so I'm ok with just picking it up and taking it home. The owner is very nice and very friendly every time I come in. All of the sushi I've had so far is great - the raw nigiri is tender fresh tasting (I read an older post saying it is frozen?) but the rolls are very small for what you pay. It's all a bit over priced for my liking, but I have no complaints about the food so I don't mind paying it once and awhile. I've been here several times and will continue to come back! read more

Eating in on a date is NOT recommended because of the absence of ambience. If you want traditional first class Sushi you need to not only order to go but order off the menue.
