UGo mobility was a lifesaver for me. When we got to Hawaii, I called after they closed and left a message. They got back to me in less than two hours and set me up with a scooter. It was delivered to my hotel in the morning and they picked it up when we left. The only downside is the basket is really small. So, I suggest a backpack and/or a zippered bag to carry your items if you plan on doing some shopping. Also, when you order the scooter, you may want to add 50 lbs to your weight to account for anything you buy and load into the scooter; otherwise, you may find yourself losing much needed power, especially going uphill. This little number cost me $280 for the week. Note: be sure to check if your tours/excursion transportation can accommodate a mobile scooter beforehand. So easy, i couldn't believe it. The scooter was waiting for us at the hotel Bell Desk upon check-in. Then they called us to schedule a tutorial on how-to, but we didnt' even need it -- it was super easy to operate and charge. Then when we rented a car, we asked for a video tutorial of how to disassemble and put it back together. They sent it right away. After our trip, we left it at the Hotel Bell Desk, fully charged with the cord and that was that! the team at UGO texted us at all these points, and calling was always with a LIVE, human person. UGo Mobility was responsive and helpful beginning with my initial inquiry, so I decided to work with them. 36 hours into the trip my father was struggling with the scooter we had selected for him. I contacted UGo and they arranged to pick up the original equipment and deliver a new scooter, without even charging any fee. This all took place at a big hotel, within the heart of Waikiki, in less than two hours! My father was so happy. Traveling with disabled persons can be stressful for that person and their caregivers. I've never had to even think about the use of a wheelchair ever. But when planning our trip from California to Hawaii for my nephew's wedding this past November, I had to think about everything for my elderly dad. Can he get up a flight of stairs comfortably? How long of a walk can he handle? Can he even handle standing in line at airport security screening? So many things to consider. But the only thing that it came down to and what mattered the most was my dad's comfort. I recently went to visit Hawaii and just before I was leaving, I fell and hurt my back and R hip. My wife fell boarding a local catamaran on Friday, April 11. Once she was able to get on the boat, I immediately searched Yelp for a wheelchair. Thank goodness UGo Mobility was still open and on a Friday night! Though the loudspeaker was blaring on the boat and it was very difficult to hear the lady who was trying to help, I was able to finish the request and had the wheelchair early the next day. Chris, the delivery driver was very courteous and even came back on Sunday to make an adjustment to the leg rests. The guy who picked up the chair was early, showing up before the bell desk opened. But, he was able to meet us in the garage, while my wife was entering the car for the airport. So,it all worked out. Because of UGo, we were able to complete our vacation! Best decision ever to rent a motorized scooter for my dad for our vacation in Oahu. The last time we were there a couple years ago he was already struggling to walk around so this time I knew that we needed to look into either a wheelchair or scooter. It was the best decision to get the scooter. He was apprehensive about being able to operate it but Sean was great when he delivered the scooter to our hotel, did a demo on how it worked and then showed my dad how to use it and also showed me how to disassemble and assemble it so I can transport it in my car. Definitely top notch customer service from booking on the phone with Chloe who walked me through my options to Sean who dropped off the scooter and showed my dad how to use it to Ollie and Hugh who checked on us to make sure we didn't need to extend it on our last day. We were even able to leave it at the hotel bell desk so we didn't have to worry about waiting around for the pick up for the return. Having the scooter made our vacation much more enjoyable since my dad was able to spend more time with us without struggle to get around Waikiki and just everywhere we went. I traveled to Oahu with my 76-year-old mom this week, and I knew she'd need some help getting around. I found U-Go Mobility on Yelp and checked out their website. They have a directory of all the places you can easily visit with a mobility scooter, and that's what sold me on the scooter vs. a standard wheelchair. Their pricing is also excellent. I was really anxious about the logistics of all this -- I'm always anxious about everything -- but the process couldn't have been easier. Chloe took my original reservation (for a standard wheelchair) and later helped me modify it to a mobility scooter instead. She was so patient and helpful. On the day of our arrival, their driver (Chris) met us at the Dunkin' near our rental car pickup location. (This was very convenient for us since we weren't staying in the Honolulu area the first two nights.) Chris spent a lot of time showing us how to use and transport the scooter. Excellent customer service! I had been stressing out that the scooter wouldn't fit into our compact rental vehicle (a Nissan Versa), but it did! With plenty of room to spare for our luggage, backpacks, groceries etc. I was so happy to see my mom enjoying Waikiki Beach thanks to this scooter. That was the best part of the whole trip. She wouldn't have made it even half a block without it, and we ended up going MILES together. I walked beside her, and we went to the aquarium, restaurants, shopping etc. It 100% gave her so much independence. A second driver met us at our Honolulu Airbnb on our final day in Hawaii. I believe his name was Matt, and he was just as awesome as everyone else at U-Go Mobility. Both drivers showed up exactly at the promised times. I'm so happy that we found this company. This business and all the people are amazing. They are highly service oriented. I rented a portable scooter that breaks down to take with you anywhere on the island. They sent me A video on how to disassemble and offered to come and demonstrate how to do it. That wasn't necessary because the video was awesome. They delivered scooter before we even arrived at hotel. Picked it up out last day. But then we changed hotels and I quickly called them back and asked them to bring it to me there. UGo Mobility has been incredible over multiple years of bringing my Pearl Harbor Survivor father back for the commemoration. All of their crew have been wonderful. They deliver to the hotel. One year Pop couldn't really use a scooter anymore effectively (worsening low vision). They got a wheelchair right to us. This year we had a lot of family with us. They got pop's wheelchair, a scooter for the daughter who dislocated her knee right before we came out, and one for me because I fell and have surgery on the return home (I was determined to go no matter what). When my sister in law had a harder time getting around we called for a scooter for her. Delivered first thing in the AM. And found out Pop needed a pad right after they delivered it. They rent pads!! Got that by evening. I cannot recommend U-Go Mobility enough. They are fast, they are reasonably prices and most importantly they are kind and gracious and all around good folk. My wife and I and my family just returned from a visit to Oahu. The purpose of our visit was to visit my Dad who was laid to rest at Punchbowl National Cemetery. He passed 6 years ago. He was a Major in the Army. We rented a wheelchair from U Go Mobility for my mom. She is 92 and in good health but cannot walk very far. Your wheelchair helped. Wherever we went, the wheelchair provide us the mobility she needed. Using your website to rent the wheelchair was easy.
