My purpose was to pick up my new CPAP machine. As soon as I got off the bus I walked across the street to the Pearl Kai shopping center and started walking along the walkway towards the back. Off to the right in the back and right next to the Tattoo shop there was Gammie HomeCare!! I walked into the showroom which was filled with with different types of walkers, comfy looking chairs and motorized wheelchairs. There was a lady sitting behind a desk helping a customer and she got up and asked me to sit down after I told her I had a 4:00pm appointment. Not even 5 minutes later Daniel Paregien, Respiratory Support Technician, came out and introduced himself and brought me into his office. Since my PCP had provided him with part of my sleep study data, he was able to chose the right CPAP machine for me. He was thorough in explaining how it worked, how to take it apart and put back together, what kind of water to use & how much, how and when to clean it & change the filter. I had to record it (I got his permission) so I wouldn't forget anything. He gave me his card so I could ask questions in future. I got to try it out to see if it fit & if it felt comfortable. It felt weird but I'll have to get used to it, starting tonight. It could save my life. I asked for permission to take photos so I wouldn't show anyone's personal information. Mahalo, Danny!! I talked about my conversation with Emmaline, Olivia was super open and patient. I also let her know that ALL of the conversations I had with the other workers all went well and the service was great all in all, just the way that Emmaline handled my situation was super unprofessional. Olivia reassured me that she had found where the fault was and took care of my situation with no hesitation. I'm so grateful to Olivia and I apologized for my part, she was so understanding and reassuring. i just wanted to give her a big hug because after knowing it's a bigger company and knowing the woman I spoke with previously wasn't at the top of it all, made me feel much better about the company because I know that the company is in better hands than what I dealt with. After over a year of of trying to work with Medicare and Universal Med supply (the company that…read morefilled the prescription for my husband's scooter) to get the battery for scooter supplied, we were referred to universal med supply by our PCP. Ivan from PAC Med was very friendly and helpful. With his persistence he was able to get the insurance to a cover the cost of the battery and got it replaced! There was no run around or anything like I got with Universal Med Supply as it turns out, that company treats a lot of Hawaii customers that way. Thank You Ivan for you persistency and hard work I'm getting things done! I gotta say PAC MED is awesome and will work with everyone. I have been told that they are unable to make house call for three weeks due to them being without a cashier!!!I have even servicing this business for fifteen years and gotten four scooters. I am appalled by their extream disregard for the needs of their customers and due to them being the only business that provides these scooters they might as well respond by just saying too bad!!! Dauterman is all the way in the back of the shopping center. I visited it yesterday to look at the mobility scooters, as I the one I have is a 4-wheel mobility scooter made by Walmart under their Equate brand. I've been thinking of getting a 3-wheel mobility scooter for ease of use while taking the bus and shopping. Upon entering the store, I was kindly greeted by a lady, unfortunately I did not get her name. They were very busy answering phone calls from other customers. I did not ask them for help as I just wanted to look at the mobility scooters. Compared to Gammie Home Care in Pearl Ridge, Dauterman has two brands of mobility scooters they had in stock. Which were Pride and Golden Technology mobility scooters. In terms of pricing for them, since we are in Hawaii. I was honestly surprised they were "affordable" in the sense of them not being too pricy. Most of the mobility scooters were in the 2K to 3K range from what I could see. They also did have other healthcare related items like walkers, rollators, hygiene products.
