Free sample sesame wonton crisp was great, I always look forward to them. The dip is super unique, never had that flavor profile before. Tempura was my fav, would get again. Fraiche that came with it was weird - not sure about that. Brussel sprouts were a bit burnt but the sauce was somewhat good? Karaage was good, the sauce they used had a pickle-y flavor Pomegranate jalapeno was okay but the yuzu honey (when stirred) was good, would get again Deconstructed mochi was good. Independent mochi bread at bottom was the best part, would get again Something about the savory options here don't strike me too well (I blame my bias with food in Japan) but the desserts and drinks are solid. Also gotta love the classy and dark ambiance when you can see the chefs work their magic. Great service too!

Went for the $120 HH Omakase and we were not disappointed! All the portions are pretty generous. Our top favorites were the Wagyu, Nigiri, and Nigiri. They also had $3 Sake during and discounted cocktails for HH. 4 stars because the Nori was very chewy on the hand rolls making it really difficult to eat but besides that everything was perfection!

We ordered the omakase for two which is $150 per person (for a couple). I had high expectations for Uchiko since it is part of a very popular restaurant group. Compared to the other omakases I've experienced around the Dallas area and their price points, I thought Uchi was okay and there are other better omakases in the area. Their omakase included non-seafood options but I thought omakase should be heavy on the nigiri dishes. They also had a somakase option where you can change the non-seafood/seafood ratio in their omakase which is a great option if you don't eat a lot of fish! Their omakase showed a lot of the dishes that they offered but, personally, I expected more nigiris for their price point. Their service was amazing though!

Went to Uchiko for happy hour (4-6 pm) and really loved it! The flavors are unique and everything tasted super fresh! I also love the citrusy taste of some sauces. We got tuna and salmon nigiri, temaki rolls (salmon, yellowtail, blue crab), Hama chili, crispy rice (tuna and salmon) and karaage. Favorites were the tuna nigiri and crispy rice! Service was top notch too and very professional!

Outstanding server at bar. Great happy hour pricing. Overall wonderful place. Highly recommend but worried this gem will get overcrowded.

4 - 4.5 stars! Most of the food we tried was delicious but it definitely costs a pretty penny for relatively small plates / portions. My fiance and I visited on a Friday night with no reservation, and they were able to seat us at the sushi bar which we ended up loving. We started with just ordering an assortment of nigiri, a roll, and a main protein dish, after which we decided we needed more food so we got some more nigiri plus another roll. Everything here generally comes in small portions so it's great to share amongst people, but the prices add up for sure! All of the nigiri we had was fantastic, and the fish tasted super fresh. The two rolls we tried were the soft shell crab roll and the spicy crunchy tuna roll. Between these two, the soft shell crab roll was a definite highlight -- the crab was delicious and the fish sauce flavor really elevated the whole dish and made it super unique! The spicy crunchy tuna roll was pretty one-dimensional in terms of flavor and nothing to write home about. In addition to all of the seafood, we also got the short rib which was perfectly cooked and so tender & juicy. After our meal, we wrapped up with the milk + cereal dessert because I'm a sucker for anything milk and cereal related. This was so tasty and unlike anything I've had in the past, plus I really loved the fried milk! I did also want to add that they provided a complimentary starter (sesame chips) and pineapple yuzu soda at the beginning of our meal, and we also got complimentary wagyu nigiri as we were finishing our food. All of this was really good, and service throughout our meal was great in general!

Food was amazing and our server was very attentive. We did happy hour on Sunday and it was pretty great. It wasn't so busy, nice mucus and nice ambiance.

Great for date night! A tad bit noisy but otherwise, ambiance was good. Food was good, fish items were fresh and the fried milk was amazing as always.

Excellent. Party of 8 so we tried many dishes, all so good and fresh. Service was slow so only complaint, they were we very apologetic as some dishes took to long. But we were a large party and we ate plenty! Highly recommend if in the Dallas area, as well nice outdoor shopping.

I went here during Valentine's Day and they had a special menu. The ambiance is on point and perfect for date night. Service was attentive and the water was always topped off. I ordered the omakase and it was definitely worth it. I felt extremely full once dinner was over. This isn't a traditional Japanese place and the flavors unique

Decided to do a solo happy hour to treat myself. I love Uchiko and always will! I told them of my dietary restrictions which was all fully cooked items secondary to my pregnancy. Then they treated me like a whole queen with a complimentary appetizer and a shot of juice. Loved itttt!! Below are ratings from the last time I had uchiko. - Kinoko nabe with gyu toro (4/5) - Hearth roasted lobster (5/5) - P38 (4/5) - Grilled scallop (5/5) - Hearth roasted oysters (5/5) - unagi (5/5) - hotate (5/5) - hirame kombujime (5/5) - masu nigiri (4/5) - avocado nigiri (5/5) Okay I know avocado nigiri sounds weird but it's literally my favorite piece lol. So creamy and buttery and the flavor is A1!! Overall, uchiko is 5 stars to me!! Always exceptional service.

I was so excited that Uchiko opened up closer to my house so I don't have to make the trek all the way to uptown anymore. I came with a friend on a Friday for dinner, and decided on the tasting menu, which is $120 for 2 people and comes with six courses. It also happened to be happy hour, so we were able to enjoy some of their cocktails at a discounted price, all of which were very delicious! The first course of the tasting menu was the sunomono, which was very refreshing and had a great flavor from the scallion vinaigrette. The second course was the hama chili, which was perfection! I could've probably had several more of these. Next, they brought out two tuna handrolls and two nigiri pieces, which I don't recall the names of now, but it was very tasty! The fifth course was the steak frites, cooked to perfection, and surprisingly a good amount of food. Finally, the last course (and the best course) was the fried milk! So good and always the best way to end a meal at an Uchi restaurant. In addition to the tasting course, we also ordered the wagyu hot rock, New Zealand king salmon and scallop nigiri, and crispy rice. Everything was phenomenal! Overall, the service is fantastic and the food is even better! I will definitely be back here again!

We had the most amazing experience here although service was on the slow side but the food was fantastic. The shrimp and pork dumpling was fantastic! It was very flavorful. The truffle fries were really great here. The milk and cereal dessert was something I never had and it was really good. I'll definitely come back here. This would be a great place for a date or a girls happy hour.

Gratis. This dip was so tasty with the taro chips

And the food is authentic. Hot Hong Kong milk tea and French toast are my favorite breakfast items and that's exactly what I got. If I were in Hong Kong, I would get them in the morning. But I wouldn't mind having them any time of the day! The milk tea was great. I liked the aromatic, bold black tea. It was fairly creamy and smooth. The French toast was delicious also. Fried golden brown, it was toasty on the outside, and nutty, buttery (with peanut butter filling) on the inside. I liked the condensed milk drizzled on top, instead of syrup, which I normally use at home. They also have other Hong Kong style dishes, like the baked cutlet pork chop with rice, fish fillet in creamy white sauce, and iconic street foods like curry fish balls, radish, and pork rinds (yummy!) This place is fully decorated with so many Hong Kong street items, like the big wall pictures of busy, beautiful city views, signs of major streets, shop signs, etc. If you're not from Hong Kong, they may not mean too much to you. The green onion pork chop rice was flavorful and comforting. The pork chop was tender and well seasoned, and the scallion soy sauce soaked beautifully into the rice. Simple and satisfying, exactly what you want from a classic HK café dish. The standout was the stir fried flat noodle with beef. It came out piping hot with steam rising, and the texture was spot on. The noodles were perfectly chewy without being greasy or clumped together, and the beef was tender with that subtle smoky wok hei flavor. You can tell it was cooked fresh, and that heat and texture really made the dish shine. The salted lemon soda was bright and refreshing, while the Yuen Yeung was strong and smooth with that classic Hong Kong milk tea and coffee combo kick. The tofu pudding had an authentic Hong Kong flavor. Served warm with a light ginger sugar syrup, it was silky smooth, delicate, and not overly sweet, bringing back that nostalgic HK dessert shop vibe. If you're craving classic Hong Kong cha chaan teng comfort food, this place absolutely hits the spot. Prices are reasonable, portions are generous, and it feels like a true neighborhood spot. We will be back.
