Incredibly fresh seafood plates here. I'm always so impressed by the plating. Each dish is a work of art! The tasting menu is convenient if you're not sure what to try or order. The server is always knowledgeable and can give great recommendations. I was expecting to not get full while eating here, but I actually did get full! Come during happy hour for some better deals!

The Standard uchi group dinner. The quality is always good, but gosh they really need to change up their menu for the big group events. It has gotten so repetitive that we have stopped scheduling dinners at uchi since we are so tired of the same meal over and over. Doesnt help that the dessert takes an extra 30 minutes to come out (sometimes longer)

Great sushi. Awesome atmosphere. I loved our sushi chef! The dessert had cilantro ice on top which I was skeptical of but I enjoyed it.

Uchi in Dallas was outstanding. The sushi was excellent, and we focused mostly on sashimi, which was incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared. The ham and eggs roll was something different we tried. It sounds unusual, but it was creative and really well executed. We sat at the bar so as expected service was attentive, and the overall experience lived up to the reputation. This is a must visit for sushi in Dallas.

I'm giving this a 4-star for ambiance, and knowledge by the server. The same was great but unfortunately the food didn't measure up to what I remembered months back the first time I tried this restaurant. I simply couldn't find the items we got that I liked last time. And the items we got except for one roll were par at best. I had brought friends here from Los Angeles and they too were less than impressed. We would have eaten more had we understood the menu better and had the first few things come out delicious. Sadly, for this reason I will not return. Just so many other restaurants to try or return to that was 5 star.

It's always a treat when we are able to visit Uchi. The menu is a bit overwhelming when deciding on what to order because there are so many unique items and not a lot of descriptions of what you're actually getting. Because of that, we tend to order the omakase (chef's choice) or somakase (waiter helps curate/select the items) and trust the restaurant to provide us with the most delicious foods. We have never had anything that we did not like/love. It's a must-try experience if you ever have an opportunity. Even the most basic nigiri sushi will have an unexpected ingredient/sauce/garnish that elevates it to something incredible. It's a very, very expensive meal but at least you'll never be disappointed with any of the food.

I celebrated my anniversary at Uchi on a Saturday night and had an okay experience! My overall thought is that for a place where people spend $80+ a head, I expected more. The restaurant is beautiful and clean, though a bit loud. We were seated at a booth, and we loved how spacious it was. We were given a little card that said "Happy Anniversary", but that was all the celebratory gestures we received. We opted for ordering a handful of dishes from the vegetarian menu, as well as some sake. The sake was really excellent and tasted like honeydew. The two best dishes were the Uchi Salad and the Crispy Tofu roll. They were amazing. The other dishes ranged from good to meh. The fried green tomato katsu wasn't great - the tomato was really hard and kind of oaky. Service was extremely slow. We waited over FORTY MINUTES between receiving our brussels sprouts and the kinoko nabe, even though we ordered it ahead of time. This meal was a lot of waiting paired with pretty subpar service. Our server wasn't notably personable or warm. At the end of the night, we were given a $25 off voucher as an apology for the poor service and long wait times. The caveat is this voucher needs to be used this month, in the next ~2 weeks, which seems unlikely for me. At this price point, I would recommend you go elsewhere! Especially to celebrate a big milestone and moment, they fell short.

My wife took me here to celebrate my birthday and it was "off the hook"!!! We sat at the sushi bar and the suggestions of fresh sashimi were spot on. So fresh that most just melted in your mouth. The service from both our waitress and chef were superb. Love the open kitchen design along with the bar. Really gives it more of an authentic Tokyo restaurant. Highly recommend the walu walu for a hot dish; isaki & kinmedai for sashimi; the negitoro for a roll. This place is nothing like a typical American style "sushi" restaurant it's a true Japanese sushi restaurant

This place is a joke. We ordered Omakase for 2 persons, and they told us they serve it as a shareable plate, like 10 courses. The waiter couldn't tell us what the menu was, it is up to the chef, even it is up to the chef and it still has a menu but not here. We got one piece of fish fillet and shared it, about 2os per persons, lol. One nigiri sushi per person and the rice was sweet and loose, lol x 2. At the end of the night, they acted like a Michelin restaurant and gave us one "today's menu" and one Szechuan chill paste, remember this is Japanese or 2 persons, lol x 3? The serving between each plate is random, sometimes we waited 10 mins and sometimes 20 mins. At the end the bill was almost $400. We didn't get what we paid for, they charged Michelin price and the food quality, presentation and service is a joke. Highly not recommended. Ambience: 5/5, we are pretty sure we are paying for the rent Food:1/5 Price:0/5 Service: 1/5

Celebrated a birthday here and whatever I say is not enough! The whole experience from start to finish was not only welcoming but, delicious. We went for the omakase happy hour which is an absolute steal! Highly recommend, it's a great price and you a great variety of food plus dessert. Everyone was very nice and helpful in making the birthday perfect. Each piece of fish tasted so fresh and each item was so beautifully curated for us. We sat at the bar and had some really great company sitting next to us that only heightened the experience. The restaurant was such a classy vibe. Will definitely be coming back again soon!

Highlights - server made great recommendations, uchi salad was addicting, kinoko daily special was out of this world good. Tako maki was just ok. Machi cure was a bit fishy? Karaage was delicious as always. One big complaint from our visit. I have been going to Uchi since it was only an Austin restaurant and the nigiri really really disappointed me last night. I know they typically serve pretty small slices of fish, but I usually find that the rice and the topping (like yuzu kosho or whatever they put for each piece) makes up for it and is some of the best nigiri out there. However, that wasn't the case this time. The rice just wasn't right. Maybe it was overcooked? The texture was completely off, and it almost ruined the nigiri for me. Additionally a couple of our bites had too much of the topping which overwhelmed the raw fish and resulted in too much salt. This was really disappointing, especially when you're paying +$7 for each piece.

We decided to go to the Uchi Happy hour on Sunday and had a wonderful time. They have a special tasting menu during happy hour that is 9 delicious courses for $120 for two people. We were not aware of this amazing deal but will definitely be back soon to enjoy again. We had the opportunity to sit at the sushi bar and watch as the extremely skilled chefs prepared our meal. We were celebrating our recent engagement and the chef made sure to throw in a few extra tasty treats. We loved the variety and delicious nature of the tasting and were able to add some nice additional bites to round out an amazing dinner. If you are in DFW and crazing the best Sushi look no further than Uchi Dallas!!

Not a problem since we enjoyed sitting on the patio and enjoying our drinks. The bartenders were great, fast and very friendly. I appreciate that before pouring my wine, the one bartender put in a lot of effort to buffing my glass. I ordered a plum wine to start, which is always delicious and sweet. We were seated a little earlier than 20 minutes, but unfortunately weren't greeted for a bit following that. They were super busy though. Our waiter was very nice and knowledgeable, and we stuck with splitting apps versus getting ramen. We ordered the shishito peppers, karaage, takoyaki, and edamame. To drink, we ordered and split the hot sake. The first plates came out pretty quickly, and were hot and delicious. Our hot sake took a while to be delivered, and we had to ask our waiter to double check it was still on the way. Then when it arrived, we had to fight off a bunch of gnats that kept landing on the bottle. I guess they wanted to party, too! The shishito peppers were definitely my favorite. They were perfectly coated in sauce and flavoring. The karaage was tender and tastes especially good when paired with the watermelon. takoyaki was served hot and it's a blast watching the Bonita flakes dance on the balls. The edamame, while good, needed to be stirred up because the salt distribution was heavy on certain pieces. We wished we could order dessert, but felt a bit rushed by the server. It was a little before 10pm, so we understand they're off at 11pm, but as a former server there's definitely better ways to keep up with the closing process that feels less intrusive to the patrons. Overall, we had a blast at Wabi house and the food was great. Maybe we went on an off night for service, but overall will definitely be back again!!

The inside is tiny and there isn't even a proper "waiting" area. I've also tried coming here before, and there was also a long wait. I'm glad I decided to stick it out this time. We ordered the Wagyu sushi, Yakitori, Tonkotsu Miso Ramen, and the Tomato Ramen. The Wagyu sushi is torched right in front of you! The Wagyu was incredibly tender and the sauce was delicious. My only *nitpicky* critique is the rice was ever so slightly too moist, but that didn't stop me from inhaling the sushi. Next, the Yakitori was phenomenal. I've never had such tender chicken in my life. There was a nice layer of delicious sauce coating the skewer. Again, just a really nitpicky feedback I have was that I wish the Yakitori had the tiniest bit more char to it, but nevertheless was an incredible bite, and I'd 100% order again in a heartbeat. Onto the ramen - easily hands down one of the best ramen I've had in DFW. The broth is flavorful, and I love the noodles. I'm not sure if they're handmade from scratch, but they had the perfect thickness and chewiness. I also loved generous the portion of cha shu slices. Most other places only give you 1-2 thin slices, but that was not the case here. The pork was tender. The ajitama was solid too, although I prefer more of a soft-boiled egg. While the meat portion is more generous here, the tonkotsu didn't come with many vegetables. A lot of other ramen places I've been to will have corn, fried garlic, etc as default, but those are all additional cost add-ons here. The ramen was delicious without them though but just something to note. We also got the tomato ramen as it's the chef recommendation. The dish is very creative and the execution was great. Personally, I still prefer traditional ramens but it was certainly a nice culinary creation to try. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place and would come here again. Just be aware there may be a wait, and because they're so busy, you do have to proactively flag down staff. However, the staff are still really nice despite all the tasks they're juggling at once.

On to the ramen -- if you want to know if you're getting a quality bowl, look no further than the preparation of the egg. No respectable ramen shop would serve you well done boiled eggs which was the case here. The tonkatsu had heavy garlic flavor which is good but was unfortunately overshadowed by the abundance of burnt garlic bits. Not much to say about the Dan Dan. Bathroom clean but had a strong smelled. Would not go out of my way nor return with the amount of noodle options in dfw.

I am surprised despite the popularity, the wait was not long at all and we were able to get seat almost immediately. For the first time, we ordered 2 appetizers - shrimp tempura and gyoza, not particularly outstanding, but they came out fast! As we were diving into our appetizers, the ramen was ready for us. I had the Spicy Miso Special (with mild spice) and my boyfriend had the Hinodeya special with medium spice. I personally like mine better because it was creamy and super flavorful compared to the Hinodeya special. My boyfriend tends to get stomach ache and fee bloated if he eats too much MSG. But he didn't feel any of those symptoms. To him, it was one of the biggest indicators if that is a good ramen or not. For the second time, we ordered takoyaki and karaage. Again, nothing too outstanding. This time, my boyfriend had what I had last time and I ordered the Tonkatsu special (no pic, sorry!). Maybe because of the lack of spice, I still prefer the Spicy Miso Special over Tonkatsu (Tonkatsu ramen is always my go-to in ramen spots). Regardless, we enjoyed our meals very much in both times. About 15 minutes before our reservation time, members of my party began arriving to check in and were repeatedly told, "You're too early," again with noticeable attitude from the front. The saki came out extra hot because I asked for it to be micro waved and they accommodated I like it really hot The warm buzz for my sake, the Japanese conversation ( I had no idea what was being said ) the clink of plates !! Perfect noise. Perfect stage for a taste. I love my sushi and sake solo I appreciated the non-American presentation Syrups and sauces turn me off. It was just 100% good tasting fresh fish. Great. No sports TVs to distract you no Uber eats drivers coming out going nonstop high-quality sushi great price. I'll return as much as I can.

The panic roll wasn't our favorite, we could've definitely passed on that. We wanted something unique rather than a basic roll, so we chose this because it seemed fun plus we love spice! However, the roll just tasted like sauce. Not much going on. I personally like being able to taste the quality of the fish, but the sauce was a too much. Definitely recommend if you like saucy rolls though. Curry was a bit on the more liquid side. We're a bit use to more of a thickened consistency, but it was still good. The rice and curry ratio was a little bit off, much more sauce and meat than rice for sure. I got the poke bowl with both salmon and tuna. It was really refreshing! I loved the mango in it. Overall, a solid sushi restaurant. Definitely recommend the sashimi! Service was good, definitely took care of you. Ambiance was also nice. It was small, but bright especially with the patio seating. The bar looked nice too. It's a good place to grab a refreshing bite!

All the ingredients are such good quality and the rolls are made with care. For every single roll, the ratio of sauce to rice to fish was perfect! Everything was fresh and delicious! VIBES The place is very spacious. Lots of seating from tables to higher tables, bar, and more. The decorations are like Japanese inspired coupled with modern and vintage elements (like the brick wall and Japanese arts). Super chill place and great for hanging out with large groups! SERVICE Service was pretty great overall! Food came out fast and nothing to complain about!

He listened to all of our wims, such as roaring as he gave a lion king roll to a co worker. He and a few of his coworkers were amazing and remembered it almost all of our orders. They did great handling our large group. The whole place was also nicely themed with Japanese nostalgic photos and decorations. The food was slightly disappointing. The one I like most was the tidal wave because it tasted that it had the most flavor. Everything else was a little plain compared to its description on the menu. The Sho Chiku Bai drink I had reminds me of mio sake so if you like mio, you'll like the Sho Chiku Bai. The Tokyo fizz drink was amazing and definitely the height of the food and drink drinks.. but I really like how there are more vegan options and I will come here again because I have some vegetarian friends who would enjoy this. Also, you can park in the garage and the restaurant validate it for you.
