Called for an estimate to change the battery on my laptop. $200.00! This is a 15 minute job! And batteries for my model run $60-80.00. 8 screws. take old battery out, slip new battery in. If I could do zero stars I would. Don't believe their "repairs in an hour or less" signs. It's been almost two weeks for a simple battery replacement and I still don't have my iPad back. The store no longer picks up when I try to call for status updates. I had to call their corporate office and I am being told by them another day or two. I won't be back, my husband won't go back. When another lady comes storming in raging mad that it took a month to replace her laptop screen and that she received it with a off-market screen that made it impossible to close her laptop properly and they broke the back of it and tried to hide it by adding an extra screw and now she wants her money back, but they tell her she paid a non-refundable repair deposit that she will never get back... You try not to get involved in the drama. You don't want to overreact and be unreasonable. You want to give the team the benefit of the doubt. HOWEVER, when we dropped my husband's cellphone off to fix his connector port on his iPhone, he received his phone back with his original apple screen broken. They apologized and agreed to fix it on their own terms with a screen protector. The only thing they failed to mention was that the screen they would replace it with was not OEM. Which would mean it was more glitchy, less sensitive, weaker glass material and not an apple product. The screen protector made it even less sensitive to touch, to the point it was unusable. And it didn't survive a minute without the screen protector. It was a disappointment. This is the risk you take by going to an external repair shop. They will never be able to promise to fix it or return your things as good as you hope and with the original manufacturer's spare parts that fit it perfectly and work properly. The worse part of it is the fact they break your stuff trying to fix your stuff. They are not careful. The previous name was "ubreakIfix"... but seeing their track record in just one visit, it has probably been more like "ubreak... wemightbreakitevenmore" I would absolutely caution you going here. Their team isn't very skilled and refined which is reflected in their "non-refundable deposit" policy that they apparently have. It's obvious they make a lot of mistakes and aren't proud of their work if they can't offer full refunds for their own blunders. Two stars because they did follow through to replace the original lcd screen they broke and the manager was polite but the trustworthiness of repair quality is definitely a 1 star. Added update: we realized the aftermarket screen was put on without them cleaning the front facing camera so all the selfie photos are blurry and the only way to fix it is to replace the screen once again. I feel bad but they did a really bad job. Not going back. read more

I brought in my galaxy note 10 plus because it wouldn't charge. I told them the charging port and wireless charging both stopped working. They replaced the charging port and told me they also fixed the wireless charging function. They claimed there was a 90 day warranty on all repairs. One week later I come back because the wireless charging is not working, although the charging port still works. They claim its an unrelated issue, the part that is needed is hard to find and requires soldering to fix which they don't do. They claim the 90 day warranty does not apply. They brush me off when I came in to have the wireless charging fixed and tell them I was there just a week ago. They claimed they will call me back when they find the part needed to fix the phone. When I got home I looked up the part that needed to be replaced on ifixit.com. It turns out the galaxy note 10 plus has a wireless charging cable that is a simple part to replace that requires no soldering. It plugs right into the phone. These people lie and take very little time to help their customers. They are too busy watching TV in the back room to care. I wouldn't come back find some place else to get a phone repaired. read more

I brought in a Nintendo 3ds with a broken top screen, and i also brought them a replacement screen to install. They told me it would take about a month to repair. 1 month went by, no call, so i called back and they said they were still working on it. 3 months go by, keep in mind they haven't called/emailed me once, and they said they couldn't fix it. I went to the store to pickup my system to find that they broke the replacement screen, broke the connection on the 3ds that the screen connects too, and they actually broke the outer shell of the device then attempted to hide the damage by super glueing my device back together. I've emailed their management and they won't respond to me. Do NOT bring in any products to these people! read more

Horrible turnaround and awful customer service. I brought in my iPad on Monday after doing my member claim and asked for it to be done before I left on my trip, which they said yes it will only take 3/4 days. I came back on Friday to find out they have not done anything yet and claimed the replacement screen was late. Now I had to leave my iPad there while I went on my business trip. I came back a week later (14 days that they had the ipad now) to find out that they STILL have not done anything with it! This is horrible and on top of it, the employee who was there at 6pm was very rude. read more

Brought in a Mac Book Pro - would not turn on. 2 days after my scheduled appointment I had called, they stated we were going to look at it today. 2 more days, no word. I picked it up, nice there was no charge. I brought it to a local repair shop in New Lenox. They fixed in one day and mentioned it had been opened and a screw had hit the battery, no big issue, but the only place that it has ever been was Asurion. Maybe they could not figure it out and did not say anything. I have no way of knowing. But the other place gave me a diagnosis in about an hour after looking at it. Makes you wonder the quality of techs they have. read more

My phone camera needed repair, so I took it to this location. The guy behind the counter was helpful, and said he would run a diagnostic and see if he could reseat the camera without replacing it. They told me to come back in a few hours. They asked for a phone number to call; they had my only phone, so I told them to Email me. Fast forward 2 hours and no email later, I showed up at the store. The guy who had helped me had left for the day, and the guy working behind the counter has NO idea what was going on with my phone. No communication between the employees. They actually had to call the other employee to find out what was going on. Turns out the empoyee has left a message on the phone they had in their possession- like that was going to help me. No Email. They quoted me a price of $129 for replacing the camera, claiming it was much cheaper than at the Apple Store. (Spoiler alert: Apple charged $79) They said they would order it and it would take 3-5 days to order the part. 9 days later, no call from this store. I went in to ask if the part was in, and I received a long excuse why the part hadn't come in. They swore it would come in the next 2 days. They never called me back. I got it fixed at the Apple Store for less money, but was without my camera for all that extra time because of poor management at this location. I will never return there. read more

Stay away from the Mokena store on Route 30. Brought my son's iPhone there to repair a cracked screen and they fixed it within a few hours. When I picked it up they said there was a 90 day warranty to fix any further cracks if they occur. When we got home, my son realized the home button did not work so they obviously made a mistake when putting the new screen on. While at home we took the case off and tried to troubleshoot the problem but no luck. When trying to put the case back on, the phone accidentally dropped a few inches causing a crack at the bottom. I was shocked this short fall caused another crack but I guess that shows their poor work quality. I assumed the store would fix this for no charge since we were trying to repair the home button that they screwed up but no. They charged me another $85 to fix the small crack and home button which was their mistake to begin with. Poor customer service! All they care about is money. Would never go here again. read more

We had a great experience. Ocean, the tech, was knowledgeable and helpful! The phone is like brand new!

We set up an appointment online between 6-7pm tonight. After setting this up, we received a confirmation text message to arrive between 6-7 pm. We drove 20 minutes to said appointment, arrived to the store at 6:30pm only to find the door was locked and no one there! We knocked on the door several times, called the number on the door and also the one online which routed us to the same number and it just rang and rang and then disconnected. Sign on door said they were open until 7pm. We waited for 10-15 minutes and still nothing. Initially I thought maybe something happened to the person working there but then I realized whoever was working prob just left early. The tv's were on in the front of the store and it appeared one light was on but no idea where anyone was. I was pretty upset considering I drove 20 mins to get there only to turn around and drive back home. I just think it's pretty crappy cs to not even bother to notify an appt that they were leaving early or to not even have an answering machine or anything take calls. They won't be getting my business. read more

Poor customer service. Called prior to dropping off phone and was told one hour, only to get there and be quoted over a 2 hour repair time. Manager was rude and not helpful at all. I mentioned that I just called here and spoke to an employee named Matt and was told one hour. Her response was, "Well it's my store and the wait is over two hours." OK, I called yesterday as they were closing and was quoted a price for repair of a broken screen over the phone. I told them I would come in in the morning for the repair. I got there today shortly after they opened (10:15am) and talked to the tech and was quoted a higher price, not a big deal since they need to see what was wrong before they could make an accurate assessment. I tell him to proceed with the repair and he says it should take about 2.5 hours and they will call when done. 2.5hrs goes by and I dont hear anything, again not a big deal. 5.5 hours (3:55pm) later I still dont hear from them so I call and the tech says, "Im just finishing it come by in 30 mins it will be done." I get there 30 mins later (4:25pm) and it still isnt done. Tech says, "Be done in about 15 mins"....ok, I tell him I will be back. Get back 30 mins later (4:55pm) and its still not done. Different tech says "Its done but its failing some tests, if it still fails we will reassemble phone and give it back at no cost." Almost 1 hour later they return phone to me not repaired. Not a huge deal but a complete waste of my time. So the screen is still broken but now its broken more than it was. The phone still worked (able to make calls and send texts/emails with Google assistant) when I brought it in to them but now it wont work because THEY DID NOT REINSTALL THE SIM CARD!!!!! Very disappointed and frustrated......I should have just gone to my carrier in the first place read more
