I would give this zero if I could. I made an appointment to have my battery changed in my smartphone because it wasn't holding a charge. I chose this location because of the ratings. Little did I know I would walk away feeling like I was scammed. I arrived within the allotted time for my appointment. The young man that handled my transaction had a long black wrap on his head that one usually wears when they have long dreads. After he verified my name and appointment time, I told him I needed my battery changed out and he said it would be 100.00. I said that I have my own battery, I just need it installed and he said the labor is 100.00. I was disappointed, but I had been without a phone for a week, so I gave him my phone and the new battery. He told me to come back in an hour. I came back within an hour and he told me my battery had swollen and it took him a little longer than expected. As I was about to pay him, he said if I paid with cash he would not charge me tax. I already felt like I was being ripped off, and was afraid to give him my credit card, so I paid with cash. There was no receipt given to me and as I was feeling very uncomfortable, I quickly checked my phone and walked out. After I returned home, I charged my phone to 100%. It works fine, but when I checked my email, there was a message that my appointment had been canceled. It seems to me like this was a clever way to put money in his pocket and have no record of it the repair. I'm sorry I ever went there, and I know now that I should've just walked away. I called another uBreakiFix business and they said the price to change out the battery with an OEM Samsung battery is 94.00. While there's not a huge difference in price, it becomes larger when you consider I paid for my battery separately. read more

If you are on vacation and broke your cell phone. Or simply can't live without your broken phone for more than a few hours, this is the place to go. Service is prompt and efficient. Depending on the extent of the damage, it could get costly; but that is the nature of the beast. We call around to many stores that repair cell phones and this one was the most reasonable. So far as Covid-19 goes, even though the service man came out without a mask, when I asked him to put one on, he apologized. When more customers came in the store, he asked them to wait outside. They also carry accessories for cell phones. I will check out prices when I visit today. There is street parking. I didn't have difficulties getting a spot right out front of the shop. read more

Good service and pricing; however, do not send your significant other alone. Back in August 2021, my GF at the time needed her iPhone screen replaced. This store came out on top of google search for authorized apple repairs; thus, I sent her there after inquiring on the phone and negotiating the price with a (gentle)man named Mark. Service was good, screen got replaced within a day, and price was fair. It seemed quite a professional job. Unfortunately not, fast forward two months, and I've found out that the store provides extra services in terms of flirting, sexting, and what not. I had waited to get my iPad screen repaired bc I use it for work & cant be without it. This location was the only location to have the screen in stock & would have it don't in a few hours. Seemed too good. IT SURE WAS. When I got home I noticed a small crack in the bottom right. I called back the next day after work & was told they don't warranty their work. I asked what he meant by that. It was obvious he was making up his response. Adding to the issue, he refused to give his name. He finally gave Mauricio after at least 10 minutes of arguing. Then he tells me there are isn't a claims process because they dont warranty their work. I asked to speak to the, you guessed it manager (but he had it coming) & he tells me that he owns the place. I have used the contact form , Twitter & Facebook no one has called. As of 9:00 pm tonight (3 days later) I have as many cracks as when I paid $200 for their work. It's clear they purchase sub par materials to try & edge out a return. When I applied temper glass to try & stop the cracking it cracked under my thumb again. read more

With only one worker in the business (Mark), he managed to complete my repairs in a timely manner. I had cracked my phone screen while at work, and needed to get it fixed as the damage was just getting worse over time. There was no damage to my phone besides the screen being cracked (there was no visual display damage, all buttons were functioning properly, no system damage or issues). I had gone to this location to get my phone screen fixed, no complications upon entering. I was told it would be about $100 for the screen to be replaced and to come back to pick it up in about 45 minutes to an hour and that my phone password was needed to which I supplied even though it didn't seem needed. I come back, pick up my phone, and while the screen is fixed the home button to my IPhone SE (3rd gen) is almost completely out of place and causing major malfunctions with my phone. I had minimal function over the home button as I was no longer able to unlock my phone, press the home button in general due to it shifting rapidly every time it was pressed. A few hours later after picking up my phone the home button was COMPLETELY unavailable, TouchID was no longer functioning at all. I called and was told to come back the following day to see what they could do. My boyfriend had come in the following day with my phone to have my phone checked out again by the same repair technician, Carlos. Carlos asked my boyfriend to the password to my phone, and when asked why he needed it there was a pause followed by "yeah, I guess I don't need it." He then stated after examining the phone for 5 minutes that he would have to replace the screen once more to see if the home button would work, but any repairs to the home button itself wouldn't be achievable. My phone received irreplaceable damage while doing a simple screen replacement. He was unprofessional, and seemingly careless about what he was doing to someone's personal property. read more

I called today and spoke to Marc (a friend of mine had to call so he could provide his name since he refused to provide me with his name after I told him I would like to write a complaint) 6/9/21 for assistance on my phone that was repaired at their location 4 times in the time span of 2 months. 1st repair: Man #1 assisted me and repaired my phone, after flirting with me and giving me a tour of the backroom (they have cameras all throughout their store so it's on video), and forgot to give me my original case back, but provided a screen protector. 2nd repair: I went back the very next day because there was a black dot on my screen and my touch screen was being unresponsive. Man #2 (who is also the man who answered my phone call today 6/9/21 10:13am and 10:58am with horrible customer service) repaired my phone and stated he couldn't find my original case, but provided me with a screen protector. 3rd repair: I dropped my phone and brought it in for repair due to me not having my original case (my fault for not purchasing a new case asap and I completely understood). Man #3 (nicest one of them all) assisted me and repaired my phone, sold me a case, and applied a screen protector to avoid any damage. 4th repair: My phone dropped on 5/31/21 within a week of having my new case sold to me by them as well as a screen protector applied by them causing green lines to appear. I went in with 3 other individuals and there were two men at the store. Man #3 (who repaired my phone the 3rd time; nicest out of all) was informed by Man #4 (1st time he's ever assisted me) that it would be "on the house" (3 other witnesses were there and heard this). I returned 1 hour later, to be informed by Man #3, that because they saw physical damage on the corners, it's not covered under warranty so it's $190.00. I was annoyed, but was nice and just paid. Keep in mind, the screen protector they provide you with does NOT cover all the edges. Today 6/9/21 I called in because last night my phone fell and a bright green line appeared (I called other locations as ubreakifix was closed at this time, where they mentioned they may be using faulty or cheap screens). Man #2 was the man who answered because he remembered fixing my phone the 2nd time. He instructed me to email photos to their location email. He then responded stating they can repair for $149.99 since I was there multiple times, but since there are cracks where the screen protector doesn't cover (which THEY placed on my phone every time) it wouldn't be covered under warranty. I called at 10:58am where I was informing him that a small drop shouldn't cause a bright screen to appear that way with a screen protector AND a case provided by them. I asked for his name, where he refused to provide me with his name stating "he didn't need to" and did not provide me with his managers name or an email so I could complain. He stated he would call the cops, after I told him I would go after work (apparently he feels threatened because I said I would write bad reviews on my experience). Don't do business with these people. They refuse to properly handle escalated situations, which is part of customer service. Failure to provide his name and gave me a 877-230-2277 number to call. Called the number and it was a phone number for road side assistance. Called back and told Marc he gave me the incorrect number to which he finally gave me the correct number of 877-320-2237. Save your money. There are people who charge way less and are much more professional. read more

Yesterday I went to the store and got to speak to Marcus. I told him that I dropped my iPhone 8into the water at the ocean. He explained to me that he believed he could fix it in the process of four hours he was able to sell me $256 worth of parts for a phone that did not work once I paid for it he then proceeded to tell me that that's what happens with water damage so I explain to him that I shouldn't have to pay that kind of money for a phone that doesn't work so he gave me a partial refund did not refund the money on my card yet and took my phone in the back and took the new parts off and put the old ones back on , just took about four hours total for me at the store. I would not recommend ever going to the store every time and customer would come in and talk to this gentleman he was trying to sell them a battery or something else I'm not really sure if Marcus knew that he was talking so loudly to his supervisor on the phone that I overheard the entire conversation and I wasn't happy with his explanation to his boss about my phone he made it sound like it was totally my fault Think twice before you use the store.
