UTEC is only as good as it's people and the people at UTEC are second to none. From the very first phone call to the work done, everything was top notch. George treated me with great respect even after I flaunted my ignorance in front of him LOL. After talking about what I wanted he gave me a time frame in which he would call me with the estimate. After he called he not only let me know how much my repairs would cost but he offered some advice on other improvements I could make. One thing I really liked was that when he gave me a recommendation he told me how I would notice the improvements. The day came for me to pick up the laptop, which by the way, was only about 2 days. Anyway, he let me know everything he had done for me and let me just say, he went above and beyond. This laptop feels new now. No lag no memory issues. Maybe I should say that I only use this laptop for music production and the programs I run are memory hogs. Now I can actually run 2 programs at the same time. Most importantly is when you go in you will immediately feel comfortable. I am VERY picky about who I have work on my stuff. You never know. I actually called I think 3 places before deciding on UTEC so take advantage of my research and go here. Prices are more than fair, Service is exemplary, Staff is 100% trustworthy. Even if your not sure if they can do the work you need you still should call them. I have written very few reviews but I was truly moved to write this. In a world with so many choices you'd think customer service would be in the forefront for businesses but sadly this is not often the case. Excellent Service! I am preparing to take the California Bar Exam next week and my MacBook completely died on me! I called U-Tec and spoke with George, who was very knowledgeable and helpful. I brought my computer in the next day and he remembered me from the frantic phone call the night before. Considering the deadline that I was up against, he provided me with very realistic timeframes for the finding the issue and resolving it. After receiving the devastating news that the motherboard and drive required replacement, I knew wouldn't be able to get it fixed in time for the bar. My daughter has really done a job on her computer, and the body is plastic because I got it on "a special" so I've been here a couple of times. They are friendly, reasonably priced, and honest. Roman and is team answer all my questions, tell me fairly what are the reasonable costs for repair vs. buying new, helped me extend the life on this pc until im ready for another purchase, and answer all my questions about future purchases for the next time. Very professional had a galaxy s10 with a cracked front and back screen, and a cracked camera screen within 30 minutes o had new screens and an otter box. Replacement parts are original Samsung parts, very hard to get Samsung wont sell parts to just any one including some repair shops. I recently brought in a broken usb flash drive after I was unable to find anyone in the cities of Fresno or Clovis who could help recover the data. Before trying U-tec, I was told I'd have to mail it to SF, LA, etc. I did find one local quote for $300 and several weeks of waiting to get the work completed. Brought my iPhone in cause the screen was lifting up from the frame and figured it needed to be seated back down, but the techs informed and showed me that it was actually my phones battery that was causing the screen to lift from the frame because it became warped.
