I appreciate their honesty and suggestion and sure enough HP laptop was still cover. Recent visit my husband PS5 was not working. So I reached out to this place again. Gentleman looked my PS5 and noticed that the issue was HDMI cord. So we replace it and sure enough that's what it was. Went for a diagnosis on a Macbook that wouldn't power on. Tech worked on it for a day and said he had no clue what to do. Ended up having more questions about the issue than before I first came in. To top it off, when I opened up the laptop to check it out ... i found a part that wasn't connected as it should've been. and I found a non-OEM part with Chinese symbols on it. I took my Brother printer to U-Tech and asked them to clean it; some ink had dried, clogging a couple of the ink nozzles, so I asked them to clean it. I was told it would take about a week. I had to pay $40 just for them to have it sit on their shelf. Two weeks later, after not hearning from them, I called to find out what was going on. I was told their "printer guy" would call me back. Another week went by without a word. Three weeks into this, and unable to work without my printer. I called again and finally talked with the :printer guy" who told me no one had told him there was a printer sitting on the shelf in Clovis waiting to be cleaned up. Skip ahead another week or so and the guy keeps telling me he doesn't know if he can clean it or not, that he has the printer head "soaking" and he hoped that would work. OMG! This guy doesn't know a printer from an elephant. I told him to put it back together. When I picked it up, I was told that, if my printer was NOT fixed, they would sell me one. Of course they would. FAT CHANCE, U-Tech. I took my printer home, hit the "clean nozzles" button and my printer was like new within 5 minutes. The guy didn't try that. The "expert printer guy" didn't even know about that feature in my machine. PLUS, he didn't dust my machine, clean the glass for copying and scanning, or blow the dirt off the keyboard. REALLY? I believe that, because I'm in my 70s, U-tech believed they could pull the wool over my eyes and take an easy $40. I want my $40 back: I lost a month of work and they did nothing to solve the problem. I solved it myself in minutes while they had my printer on a shelf for a month or so. Shame on them. read more

The customer service is top tier especially hunter on Herndon I can call him anytime they are available for quick questions and just knows what to do every time , on top of that if I ever do need to bring in my pc they keep me updated with what's going on and how long it will take maximum I've waited for a repair is 2 days! I'm a pretty savvy computer person but when I opened up my laptop, the soldering skills required to fix it were beyond me. I found U-tec through Yelp and I'm glad I did! I dropped off my laptop with George and he went above and beyond to fix it. I have a laptop with a very specific charging port which required some mastery soldering skills to replace it. He took the time to check the circuits and to research the specific charging port my laptop needed. After getting the special ordered part, he installed it and took his time testing it, after the testing was complete I got the laptop back. The laptop has been working great since I got it back. We called U-tec last minute in a Tuesday morning. My new iPhone 14 had a black screen and would not now power up. We ended up going to Sprint store where he had purchased the phone less than 30 days prior. The store rep at Sprint plugged the phone on and tried to restart it. She gave up and said they there was nothing she could do and that we would have to contact the warranty company and wait a couple of days to get a refurbished one. Having to catch a flight at noon we called around and the rep at U-TEC asked us to come in and he would look it over. He said it could be a bad battery and they had those in stock if we needed to have it replaced. The rep at U-tec plugged it in and tried to reboot it, it took him about 3 minutes and he had it full power on ! He said he just had to do a a hard boot of some sort , volume up , down and holding down another button. We asked him how much and he said "Nothing" it's was a simple power restart. We were happy and he didn't even charge us . We did give him a small tip only because it's the only cash we had in hand. What an honest business, I will recommend anyone with phone issues or computers to go to this business. read more

Solid place for all your tech needs. Plexiglass at front counter made me feel comfortable getting serviced during COVID-19. George was super helpful and was willing to give extra advice at no charge. I learned about upgrades and equipment that I didn't even know existed, and he made my technology work better for me. He even directed me to purchase items they didn't carry in store, earning my complete trust as a customer. My only complaint is communication about timing, but that could be due to the pandemic. I was told that I would hear back from them in 72 hours and it took them an extra day. On another occasion, I was told to come back in two hours when they'd finish my job. I came back after three, and it still wasn't done. Their explanation made sense to me afterwards, but I wish they called me at the two hour mark to let me know that it would take longer. Overall, I'd still highly recommend this place for your needs. I'll be back again. read more

Spilled water on Macbook. These guys were able to get it back and running although I still had to get a new battery. A month or so later I dropped the same laptop and the screen went black and wouldn't turn on. Took it back here and they were able to get it working in about 5 mins, free of charge! Took advantage of Black Friday deal that an associate told me to keep an eye for when I went in to inquire about a battery replacement for my iPhone 6s. It was a great deal: $30 for the battery replacement! Patrick helped me out today and he was awesome, gave me some battery tips, and thanked me for my patience as their store was pretty busy with a lot of people on Black Friday. He did a temper glass screen cover on my 6s as well which he didn't have to do but that was really awesome of him and I appreciate that.
