Well I usually have low expectations when it comes to the USPS these days (someone stole something in a letter I sent to my mom in May) but Denise at the counter turned that around for me. She has a wonderful personality and offered me a pen while I was waiting in line. She handles all of the passport appointments at this location. She also can multitask when a disgruntled person walked in about not receiving a letter yet that was on their informed delivery. She had just finished up a long tedious passport application for a baby and then helped me send a flat rate envelope for ironically my passport renewal. Denise was friendly, courteous, and went above and beyond not only for me but other customers she helps out. Very impressed with this busy USPS location. read more

Place is trash inside and out. Make you wait at your house with the wrong promised times on their site that keep updating to the next day, then the next morning, then now saying 5pm after promised 6:10am-10:30am when it's right up the road from your house not even 10 mins away. Junkies read more

location is a joke and if you complain to the supervisor about the mail carrier, nothing gets done. he continues to do the same thing, he is awful. #1- marked a package as delivered on 24 Dec 25. wasn't in my mailbox. it showed up on my door step 7 Jan 26! #2-came to door for a package that needed to be signed for and marked the he put on tag on the door, and never did. I only knew because i checked informed delivery. It was a mess going to the the post office to try to get it. the person at the front was making all types of excuses not to give the info to supervisor to look for. I finally got it and waited to complain to the supervisor. #3- Again the same thing happened with a package that needed signature, again he put down that he left a tag. no tag was left, I have him both time on my ring camera, clearly not leaving anything. Then, in the app it said it was rescheduled for delivery on a Sunday. I stayed home all day because that is what the app said and I have actually seen him in the development on Sundays. But that was another lie. No one came to deliver it. So now I have to take time off of work to try to get it since I get off after they close. #4- I am missing important mail, from the courts and department of Revenue that says it was scanned in and delivered. read more

If I could give this less than one star I would. Whatever you do, do NOT arrive at this place a couple minutes before 1:00 and expect them to wait ONE SECOND over 1:00 to assist you. You will be rushed out. God Forbid they should have to work one minute past closing time and provide good customer service. read more

What kind of worker informs a customer that they are no longer allowed to deliver packages. Is that not what your job consists of ? Are you not supposed to take in packages when they a brought to be delivered and shipped out? Smyrna Post Office... plenty of parking... outside mailbox shoo,ts. Cute, efficient... Helpful.

There's very little good about this post office. The parking lot is always full, and there's always a line, waiting to be served. Last week, I went in, and there were 12 people on line, and 2 people behind the counter. Never mind that they kept disappearing into the back, but one was working with a family to fill out passport forms, and was standing and watching them fill out the forms at the front counter, rather than asking them to use the side counter to fill out the forms, so they could help other patrons. When I finally left (1/2 hour later), there were still 12 people on line. A letter I recently mailed was returned for additional postage. They flagged it as oversize, even though it was a standard envelope. Another post office said it was fine, and checked it with their template, showing that it was less than 1/4 inch thick, as required. Someone didn't even bother to check. Middletown has gotten too big for only one post office. read more

The post office is the worst. I went in this morning and the teller let two people ahead of me with prepaid packages but I figured ok they are prepaid. Then he disappeared in the back for 5 plus minutes, then when he finally came out he called someone from the line to his window where I was already standing. When I questioned him he said I didnt call you to my window so he basically refused to serve me because I came to his window without being called. WORST POST OFFICE I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. They should designate one person to do passports and if there aren't any on a particular day then they could go to the counter. But the way they do it - they take a counter person and waste all that time on passports while we stand in line waiting and waiting. The last time was there the line was almost out the door. Now, I don't even bother to waste my time there. I drive the additional miles to the Odessa Post office which is way better. Never a line. read more

I absolutely love my mail carries, Pam Ortiz. She goes above and beyond with her job. She's so kind and generous. Miss Pam is the best.

My mail delivery has gotten significantly worse since delivery moved from the Townsend office. You can't report or get answers about any problems with the Middletown office, because they don't answer the phone and their voicemail box is constantly full as a result. I groan when I have to use this office instead of Townsend because Townsend and Odessa close earlier now. They rarely have to people servicing customers in the lobby, but there will be people at two of the three windows. God only knows what the second person is doing, but he shows no interest in the line forming out the door (it always seems to be the same person). I'm currently trying to track down a package that was signed for on Friday, that has not been delivered by the following Wednesday and will drive there because they don't answer their phone. read more

MY TRACKING SAYS " Ready For Pick-up at Middletown Delaware Post Office", hand them a copy of my tracking infor, and they look at you like you have "3HEADS" Brush you off, go hide in the back room. I've written a review before and I normally use UPS, but this time I had to use the post office for unrelated reasons. While inside chaos broke out, as usual, and I witnessed two workers yelling at a younger girl. She was explaining that the one worker, Sam, had given her the address slip for her package a few days ago but did not put it on her package before he mailed it out. Now her package is somewhere being held in a different state. The two workers there, the man Sam and a woman eating peanuts, literally yelled at her to the point where she was about to cry. This was Sam's fault and his responsibility and he still refused to give her a refund. Watching this reminded me exactly why I don't go to this post office. Poor management and poor customer service. Sam needs to be retrained or fired and the woman needs to as well. The manager Jack did not intervene when this occurred. Gross. read more

This is literally the worst post office on the planet. i received a failed delivery attempt claiming no one was at my place of business. Hmmm 40 employees and no one there during normal business hours on a Thursday morning. when i went to the post office they claim i sent my package to the wrong address. then when i showed them my order they claim amazon mailed it to the wrong address. when they found the package everything was correct. the post office tried delivering it to an address we haven't been at in over 8 years. Their answer for everything is to take your info and get back to you. when you ask to see the postmaster they claim she's not in. i want to apply for her job, NO HOURS, NO ACCOUNTABILITY, and NO CARES! read more

Without a doubt the worst service daily I have ever had. I if the USPS was a private owned business every employee (including management) would be fired immediately , no questions asked . I am spending more time trying to locate packages that USPS Tracking says was delivered but never was and you can never get an intelligent person on the phone because the phone doe's not get answered . Horrible customer service! My experience with the personnel was they are very cold. If they had to do more than the basics, I was met with attitude. The whole staff needs to be overhauled! To bad I have to give 1 star, because they don't deserve that. read more

I live in Atlanta Georgia and I have mailed over a dozen packages to the Middletown Delaware post office!!! To be delivered to the recipient which they never ever do!!!! they leave it on the porch, they leave it in the middle of the yard and in the middle of the driveway!!! I am 55 years old and I have never seen such lazy ass postal workers don't think somebody can take your job get your ass out of that vehicle in zip code 19709 and deliver the packages like you should be doing!! This post office is a disgrace to the United States of America!!! I will be reporting you to the Postmaster General in Washington DC guaranteed, you just need to go find another job and leave the damn post office off of your resume.. As of today August the 21st, 2018 there's a package sitting there that was priority signature with insurance and they can't get off their lazy asses and get out of the car and said they put a note on the door but the package was never even in the truck in the beginning.
