I generally like to use this DMV location and have had good experiences in general. My most recent…read morevisit was to complete my registration for my new vehicle and pay the sales tax. Since it took a little longer to get my paperwork from the dealership then of course, when I finally do, it was close to my vacation time that I only had 2 days to complete the registration. I didn't need new plates as I transferred my previous one and still have valid sticker til 2027. When I got there, the place was packed. They have check-in kiosks where you may choose the service you need and enter in your phone number. Also, a human is present to help you if you aren't sure what to choose as a "service." They text you when it's close to your turn and call your name as well. I didn't leave the facility. There were only 3 people ahead of me getting registration done so it went somewhat faster (15-minute wait). When I was finally called, Gabby helped me. She was friendly but not chatty which is good. She was quick and respected my privacy by writing down the amount I needed to pay on a sticky note and handed it to me. I heard a couple clerks blurt out the number. No one needs to know which is why I preferred Gabby's method. I wrote the check and she did the rest. I bought an EV so I told her I needed the Missouri tax sticker (definitely NOT a reward for being environmentally conscious) and she got me that as well. Less than $75 for the sticker, it's good for the year. I forgot to ask though if this is something that I can get online and mailed to me like my re-registration. While I don't mind coming here, I'd hate to have to do it every year just to get a sticker. Anyway, it was a successful visit and I was able to do everything in less than an hour. So thankful as I would have had to pay the late registration fee when I got back from vacation.

I've now been here over two hours.

But you never see them pulled over for impeding traffic. Then when you call a cop for an actual problem, like 6 of them show up and only one actually does something. And then a hour later they all leave with to my knowledge, nothing resolved. I think I would rather have that overly fat/ partially dork hall monitor from high school show up and help me. At least they take better notes and have some results. But I guess we pay cops just to shoot poor people and people they don't trust so I see why they are in St. Louis

I am here every 24 - 30 months so I figure, it was time to finally write a review. Seriously, I do…read morenot know how lucky I can get being called for Jury Duty every two to two and a half years on a regular basis. I do believe, I have definitely served my civic duty. The ambiance of the waiting area is not plush, but you don't need to worry about the decor, you will not be there long. The most important thing to remember about Jury Duty, is to listen. The staff moves things along, very quickly and if they have to repeat themselves, that is when they get gruff. Otherwise, it is rather painless. I brought magazines and both of my iPads, in preparation of a long wait. My start day was Wednesday, not the typical Monday so the selection pool wasn't as large. My number was called in the second group, so no time to play on iPad or read any magazine articles, because once you are in the courtroom all those items are taboo. Once the Voir dire (jury selection) starts, that is when the real entertainment begins. My jury pool was 48 city residents and each and every one of them had some type of story. Some had more then one story, to share with the judge and lawyer. The selection process took close to a full 7 hours. During that time we did get a lunch break, of just over an hour. However, it made for a long day 8 AM - 5:30 PM. I've served on one criminal, two civil (one as foreman) and one grand jury. I guess I had too much experience, because this time I was not selected to serve.
