I've had two different congressional appointments to discuss with United States Postal Service, and why I can't get my new built & purchased house address activated and delivered. I talked to Congressman Allen's aid she forwarded my complaint about times, ended up on the desk of a woman named Pamela (706) 562-1882 Who handles the Georgia congressional Complaints. She called me 4:30 PM on a Friday and we talked. She said she would do an investigation and get back with me and She called back 19 minutes later left a voicemail that I'd have to get the cluster mailbox or pay for a PO Box and I still couldn't get certain packages delivered the end! Well state past 12 years ago a stupid law that new divisions and subdivisions have to have a cluster mailbox. It makes sense that way the postman just goes to the box and deliver all the mail and the people come and pick it up it saves fuel But there should be exclusions in there because I'm one house one they have to drive by it every day to directions when they're delivering mail to other houses that were put in for the law, but this uneducated woman said no not once, but twice, even though I had all the evidence proving that the address was made available to her post office, three years prior to the law changed! So to activate my house address I have to spend out of pocket funds for the cluster mailbox they cost $2,700 on low end just outside of town the other 7 plots on my street are nature and for sale by owner & he isn't building any more houses It's not a neighborhood because the streets only connect from the highway one way in one way out. She tried to say that it was a subdivision, wrong again you have to have a Home Division before you could have a subdivision so her lack of education and experience is being shown once again! These are the uneducated people, United States Post Pffice likes to hire and that's why they're always in US Congressional Hearings making excuses for All the stupid rules and decisions they come up with. I literally think They get together for a group function and play a game of polish darts vs playing polish archery it's safer and that decides how they waste taxpayers dollars! This truly is just another leaching Government Agency for your annual taxes should be called "anal taxes for dealing with these assholes!" Are used to believe in being nice and respectful, but after dealing with this group of idiots out of Augusta, I'm retired and they don't deserve my respect they are ran by machine and operated by brainless minions and Peons and I can't tell you who the woman I talk to which one she is but I really won't be volunteer or gift any of my tax dollars, especially if she refuses too do the one thing the USPS Government Organization is Designed to do, deliver my mail!

I haven't been in here in about three years or so, and that was when I first got my Georgia driver's license (purely because my home state license expired, and I could not renew it online). This DDS is usually VERY crowded, and quite noisy as well. The way they do their system is kind of funky, and a little annoying, but if you can skate through on a weekday during everyone's normal working hours, you shouldn't be in there too long. I went a couple weeks ago on a Friday afternoon to get an endorsement added to my license, and it was fairly painless for the most part. The employees are definitely hit or miss, sometimes you get a super nice one and sometimes you get a... not so nice one. Either way, I make it a point to not go to this DDS, but it was the closest one to where I was at the moment, so I just decided to stop there.

I have had to visit this location on Mike Padgett Highway several times this year. When Nicole wrote her review I would agree with her. However they have added someone who asks while you wait in line "Why you are here?". This addition is incredibly valuable. In the past I have watched people wait in line only to be told they are not even in the right office or being told they need a document they don't have with them after waiting 1-2 hours. Since adding this person service has become highly valuable. Things stay moving even when fully loaded. Customers are much happier knowing their wait has been minimized even before they get to the counter. Also that person can direct customers to online features they can use while waiting in line. They have even added two computers terminals for this process and often people just start helping each other. So even that 80-90 year old grandma or grandpa can be assisted in a way that gets them through with a kind of speed I have never witnessed before. I used an online feature before coming in, that's right from home, got a number, sat down and was called in 5 minutes and helped in about 2 minutes. If they maintain this level of service I will raise the rating from a 4 star to a 5 star.

Augusta wears its unofficial slogan of "We Feel Good" with an ease that matches the city's…read morepersonality, and it fits the way the place feels when you arrive. On both of my visits I found a beautiful and genuinely hospitable Southern city, one shaped by deep layers of history stretching from the Colonial and Revolutionary eras to the present day. The Augusta Museum of History captures that sweep with clarity, from early settlement to the Masters, and especially in its full exhibit honoring James Brown aks "the Hardest Working Man in Show Business." Stepping outside to see his statue and the mural nearby makes the "I Feel Good" spirit https://youtu.be/W-rn7i_ETYc feel less like a slogan and more like a lived identity. Broad Street gives Augusta its cultural rhythm, a long stretch of restaurants, galleries, and storefronts that feels lively without being overwhelming, while Greene Street offers a quieter walk lined with monuments that remind you how much national history passed through this city. The riverwalk is one of Augusta's great pleasures, whether you're biking along the water or taking a slow stroll before settling in for a cold beer at Savannah River Brewing. Even in the off season the city feels active but not crowded, and the everyday conveniences help too, like the fact that street parking is free and easy to find, leaving you free to wander at your own pace. Visiting outside the Masters window makes a noticeable difference, and if you prefer a calmer experience it's worth checking the golf calendar before you go, since Augusta transforms during tournament season. Off season, though, the city offers a relaxed mix of history, culture, and local flavor that feels grounded, welcoming, and unmistakably tied to its musical heritage. It's the kind of place where you leave already planning your next visit, humming a little James Brown under your breath because, well, you really do feel good.
