USPS failed to deliver an Amazon package that did not require a signature. I wasn't home so I missed the two attempts. Went over to the post office and no one, including the manager can find my package. I told the manager it was high dollar & if she can reach out. Waited few business days and heard nothing, so I went back they were still unable to find it. I was given the guidance to wait few more days and this time was given the managers number for me to reach out instead of going back. Not sure what's taking so long to coordinate with the delivery driver, but it's been a process extending almost 2 weeks. read more

This location needs to be shut down and the staff arrested for fraudulent conduct. I have lost thousands of dollars in revenue due to non-delivery for paid-for next-day deliveries, as well as Amazon's same-day deliveries taking over two weeks to get, after lying and saying they attempted to deliver when a signature was not required, and none of my nine cameras videoed anyone from USPS delivering anything. They purposely do not answer the phone. They purposely do not do their jobs. They steal packages, especially during Christmas time. I now do not use vendors that use the USPS for their shipping. This is going to change the entire USPS business model, as well as employees. They're going to start slowly laying people off & provide higher pay to people who exceed the workload. This has got to be by far the worst post office in Augusta, Georgia. Pro's : Location Cons: Long lines with one person working and another walking around that could be assisting. Either they lose your packages, don't provide accurate tracking, and when you're returning things that are purchased from vendors, they won't send them off even though the instructions state clearly that the post office will send your package off. People have take time out of their day to rectify discrepancies: The customer in front of me said that they got a message that his package is being delivered to an undeliverable address and showed the email.. then after the employee checked, she said "it's being delivered today. Sorry about the inconvenience". If you have an option to go somewhere else, I highly suggest that you do. read more

5 STARS SOLELY BECAUSE OF JEFFREY AT THE FRONT COUNTER! There was a very long line and unfortunately only one person working the front counter. Even so, I watched Jeffrey be kind to each and every customer, never losing his patience, and working as efficiently as possible to get the line down. There were several people well out the door and he allowed them to come in and make an even longer line before closing the inside door at the designated closing time. I left around 545PM with at least 15 more people behind me and I'm sure he worked well after 6 to get everyone what they needed. My 5 stars goes to Jeffrey and his service and I truly hope this location is able to hire him and the other employees some help ASAP! read more

My postal service is terrible. I have that app that lets me know what mail I will get that day. But I only get mail about 3 days a week. My carrier doesn't deliver on my street unless she has several deliveries. I have also watched her turn her truck around in my yard. I reported that, and showed the post office pictures. But she is still delivering my mail, only when she feels up to it. She also misdirects mail on a regular basis. At least once a week, I have to take mail put into my box to another address. And I have people bring me mail that was misdirected. I do have to wonder how many people just throw mail away when it is put into their box by mistake. read more

Paid for overnight delivery of an important delivery from Houston, USPS said they were unable to access delivery address BUT THEY STILL DELIVERED MY JUNK MAIL THAT DAY! WTH, man!?!?!? This post office is terrible even for post office standards. I had my mail on hold and choose to have it delivered on resumption. Three days after mail resumption I still hadn't received my held mail. I called and was promised it would be delivered the next day. Next day still no mail so I called back and was once again promised it would be delivered the next day. Next day still no mail. Finally drove to the post office and wait 30 minutes in line but finally got my mail. I was mailed a certificate in an envelope that clearly stated do not bend yet the driver from this post office location shoved it in my mail box bent in half. The company was nice enough to mail another and again the driver decided to smash the envelope in my mail box. Moved here 3 years ago and have given up on this location. Mail is consistently messed up and days late and never arrives or takes months to arrive or.... I use the location elsewhere as a result. I am a super planner. How so? Well when I prepared to move to Augusta over 8 years ago, I sought out a Post Office Box. Why? Well, I planned for the likelihood of moving a few times before buying a new home (and I was right). I also wanted a location that was open at least 30 minutes past my clock-out time and close to my place of work so I could get a package did it require me going to the cashier window. Yeah, I thought about all that before choosing a Post Office. And here I am, still checking my box once a week for my mail. There is a great convenience to having the same mailing address though we have moved 5 times since being in the area. Though it sits at a busy intersection, it is a great midpoint for the Mall, Target, or downtown. The staff is always friendly (I wanted to make sure I mentioned that) and even other box holders are quick to say "good morning" or "hello". One day I will no longer need a box here, but for the time it is the ideal location for one. *Insider's Tip -It is the same amount whether you renew for six months or twelve months at a time. You never know what could happen so just do six months. read more

This is the worst post office on the planet. No one answers the phone, EVER!!!! I was in the post office and called them, 4 people just stood there doing nothing and let it ring, then picked it up and hung it up. The drivers deliver when they feel like it to any address. Got a paper saying no one there to receive the package, this was at my business which opens before them and closes after them. They should all be fired!!! There is no reason for a 26 minute wait to ship one parcel and there was only 3 people ahead of me. The counter had only one person working. There were other people working yet nobody seemed to care to help a line or customers. Nobody is " too good to work due to covid". If I have to work full time during pandemic then the least I should expect is to have any issues at the post office. A very essential service. No excuse. Seemed very disorganized in there as lady took 15 minutes to find the post master secretary number. Y'all should have that written down. Today at this Post Office, I had a 3 1/2 x 6 1/2 sealed envelope containing 2 printed tickets. I was out of stamps so I told the attendant I wanted to mail this envelope (to an augusta address) regular postage. She said $4.50 and it had to mailed as a package because it didn't feel like paper to her. I told her it is paper, less than .30 oz. Wow...I've been to this post office and mailed the same type envelope with the same items with no problem using 1 stamp until Clerk 42, Ms Personality was on duty. If workers are having a bad day or dealing with personal problems, they shouldn't be out front dealing with the public. read more

I visit this Post Office location often. It is in close proximity to where I live. The service is always quick and the staff is friendly. Much like every post office in America, you have mailing material such as boxes, envelopes, tape, bubble wrap etc. for sale. You can also purchase greeting cards if you forgot to pick one up before mailing a gift. The parking lot is oddly shaped and you must be careful when backing out. The location's position also makes it hard to exit in high traffic. It's located off a very busy road. I'll still visit. Being a regular, I know the best times to do so. read more

I've lived at my current address on Bayvale Road for 18 months now. I have the worst experience with this post office. I'm regularly missing mail, packages, and my mail and packages are delivered to the wrong address daily. I have my mailbox labeled clearly to help our carrier out, as does my neighbor, yet we have to separate mail and deliver it to the correct address every single day. The last time I checked, I was not an employee and this is not my job. I've left multiple kindly written notes in my mailbox to try and fix the problem, yet all I've gotten back are some poor excuses as to why the carrier can't do their job correctly. Why do I receive daily notifications saying what will be delivered for me, and I only get mail 2 or 3 times a week max. If I fail to perform my job well, I lose my job. The same needs to be said for this terrible mail carrier who does a half job and thinks it is okay. The fact that I labeled mine and my neighbor's mailboxes and still am, having this issue is absolutely ridiculous. Either fire this carrier or find a new one because they lack respect for anybody and aren't worth the money being spent to pay them. read more

Well for years the United States Post Office has beem getting a bad rap for slow service and employees with nasty and I don't care aditudes but this one has a new generation of employees and service has improved up 90% better. You can walk in and the lines are not wrapped around the corner and I guess mostly because a lot of people email and use other services for parcels and other mail.But I will give them thos rating because of the improvement. read more

I'm not sure if they were having a bad day or are they like that to certain people they encounter but I was shipping a package and this was my first time ever shipping a package and I misplaced my card so I asked the clerk if I should keep the envelope they provided me with or can they hold it because I was coming right back... she told me "no, take your things out and if you're not going to bring tape back with the envelope do not worry about it" so I say ok... I come back and I am ready to check out. This time, I went to another clerk to pay so the previous clerk I had went out of her way to tell the lady that I needed to pay for the previous envelope... I was confused but I didn't want to cause confrontation so I payed for it anyway while I explained to the lady that, me paying for both envelopes was not explained to me and if I would have none that I would have used the previous envelope I used before... not to mention, they lady saw me come back in and grab another envelope. All she had to say was come back and use this one you already used. I was under the impression that she was going to throw it away. No one seemed to care.. I guess if I would have made a scene I would have gotten a reaction but any who bless this government organization and bless the white woman who did a cold dirty move as such.
