I am a super planner. How so? Well when I prepared to move to Augusta over 8 years ago, I sought…read moreout a Post Office Box. Why? Well, I planned for the likelihood of moving a few times before buying a new home (and I was right). I also wanted a location that was open at least 30 minutes past my clock-out time and close to my place of work so I could get a package did it require me going to the cashier window. Yeah, I thought about all that before choosing a Post Office. And here I am, still checking my box once a week for my mail. There is a great convenience to having the same mailing address though we have moved 5 times since being in the area. Though it sits at a busy intersection, it is a great midpoint for the Mall, Target, or downtown. The staff is always friendly (I wanted to make sure I mentioned that) and even other box holders are quick to say "good morning" or "hello". One day I will no longer need a box here, but for the time it is the ideal location for one. *Insider's Tip -It is the same amount whether you renew for six months or twelve months at a time. You never know what could happen so just do six months.

My experience with the USPS employee named Jeff was extremely unprofessional and disappointing. I…read morecame in simply trying to explain that my packages were not being delivered because I recently moved into a gated community and USPS needs a gate code to access the property. Before I could even finish explaining the issue, Jeff repeatedly interrupted me, raised his voice, and spoke to me in a rude and disrespectful manner as if being loud was going to intimidate me. Instead of actually listening and helping solve the problem, he handed me a slip to place in my mailbox for the carrier. The issue with that solution is that the mailbox itself is located inside the same gated area, so the carrier still cannot access it. I was trying to explain that, but he continuously cut me off. Customer service starts with listening. A simple conversation and a little patience could have resolved the issue. I understand everyone has difficult days, but no customer deserves to be spoken to with disrespect when they are just seeking help. I hope USPS addresses both the lack of communication and the need for better solutions for residents in gated communities.

So many different venders before entering the actual post exchange. Everything from car rental, jewelry, GNC, barbershop, beauty shop, african shop, pharmacy, eyeglasses, Starbucks, military clothing and sales, art, just to name a few. A full food court to include taco bell, Popeyes, Boston market, Arby's and more. Step outside and take a left your at the class 6 for your adult beverage wants. The actual PX can be DESCRIBED as a Macy's, walmart, and best buy rolled into one. So many different departments. Women clothing has a micheal korrs section. One of my favorites. The perfumes are the real deal. None of that fake stuff that fade away as soon as you put it on. I always enjoy my shopping experience here.

Anyway, so I went all the way back to my car and when I walked back up to purchase, the woman completely ignores me and speaks to another associate advising that she is going to the restroom. I just walked all the way back to my car and you can't spare 2 seconds to ring me up? Okay. So I ask the associate who she is speaking to if he can check me out in her place. He acts like he didn't hear me TWICE so I had to physically walk up on him for him to LOOK UP FROM HIS PHONE to acknowledge me. He proceeds to tell me that he cannot and says she is the one who can assist me. Then looks right back at his phone. I absolutely cannot believe the disregard that these employees have for the customer service experience that they provide to others. Very disappointed.
