Today I had my Gel Manicure done by 'My' who is the owner and has been for 18 years here. I needed to have my nails done as it had been roughly 3-1/2 weeks since they were done and just now starting to lift. I did find a place in Petaluma to go to that makes my gel nails last that long, but seriously had no time to make that drive up North today. 'My' worked quickly and my nails turned out nicely. Unfortunately he didn't have any more time to do a pedicure for me, just my hands. Will see how long my gel nails will last. It costed $37 plus tip. read more

Went in after lunch for my nail appointment! Chose my color right away and was seated. Appreciated the clean supplies and cleanliness of the shop!! Wanted to just get my nails painted (not gel manicure), thought they would do the lotion included with the nail painting... Did WONDERFUL nail paint job and cleanup in/around nails. Was told to sit under the UV light for 10 minutes, I should have waited an extra 5-10 before leaving.... Fairly priced for the time!! Uh....is your toe supposed to bleed after a a pedicure?? I never ever had a pedicure that included digging out my cuticle so much that after 2 hours, the bleeding still hasn't stopped!! The woman who have me the pedicure told me I had a "hangnail" which is why my toe was bleeding but sorry! I don't have a hangnail and if I did, you're no podiatrist!!! And it was totally weird to have my pedicure started by the only woman there and then have her move on to another customer, my toe still bleeding in spite of all of the antiseptic she put on it, only to have a guy there paint my nails!! This is a great salon. The owners Linda & Mi give exceptional service, and keep a very clean and peaceful environment for their clients. For a spa mani/pedi, which is the service I always get, they give amazing masages to my feet, hands, arms and back. It is truly the best quality service I have ever had. (all for under $40!) One of the things I like about US Nails is they don't talk loudly to each other in another language like so many other nail places. They focus on you and take good care of your comfort. (I have never had any bleeding or roughness to my nails, ever.) They give amazing massage WITH your service. Another thing that is great about this salon is that they take MasterCard and Visa. I also love that they take walk-ins. I like to schedule mine, so I get Linda because she pounds on my back and does a fantastic massage, just when I think I can't take it anymore, she switches sides and pounds some more. I had a manicure and pedicure here. Like the other poster on here, my big toe nail bleed during the pedicure. I have never ever had this happen during a pedicure. My manicure is chipping and is has not been a week yet. Maybe they didn't put on a top coat? However, they are really nice and the massage chairs were comfy. It also seems like you could walk in without an appointment. Overall I was disappointed with the longevity of the manicure and the fact that I bled during the pedicure...it hurt. read more

I've been here twice now and do not plan on going back. While May did a great job with my pedicure and was very gentle, Linda absolutely destroyed my cuticles during the manicure using the tools and her own fingernail to dig into my cuticle. At the end I was bleeding and my fingers were swollen as I waited for the polish to dry. She did not apologize at all even though she was mopping up the blood from my fingers. I have been wearing bandages over my manicure on multiple fingers due to the damage she caused. read more

This is an update of my previous review. My great toe nail bed/cuticle is finally healing after two weeks post injury after pedicure. I have a big scab on the cuticle and still have to keep it covered when I go out or in the yard for fear of getting dirt under the nail bed!! ( it's summer and the idea of a pedicure is to be able to wear open toe shoes) I will never set foot in this salon ever again. Be forewarned! read more

I was very disappointed with this nail place! I had an acrylic fill on a Thursday and on Saturday already two nails had broken! I went to go get them fixed and the same lady who did my nails just said I don't have time and to come back later. It would have taken 10 min to fix the two nails and she couldn't even make time to fix her own poor work. I have never been told by a manicurist they "don't have time" to fix something they did poorly only a few days ago.... I will never go back to this place! read more

Mi and Linda are wonderful and take their time to do a great job. So so clean and sanitary as well.

I had an acrylic fill manicure last Saturday and was very happy with the results. Linda did a meticulous job and was very gentle. She was also somewhat faster than I am used to. The round sander that is used to smooth out the acrylic sometimes gives me burning sensations and pain. I did not have this problem at all. She did not cut my cuticles. The salon is very clean. I also liked the prices and that I was only charged for the nails replaced. read more

Yes Linda did draw a bit of blood with the initial corrective work, no big deal, the long term results have been very good for healthy happy feet. I was looking for gel nails. I called and they said that they did gel nails I thought great so, I made an appointment. When I arrived the owner wasn't there but I sat down and one of the other girls started my manicure. I tried to verify again that they do gel nails. She didn't speak English. When the owner came in 10 minutes after my appointment he stopped her and told me to sit in his chair. I was confused because with the gel nails that I have had in the past I always get a manicure first. I verified with him that I was getting gel nails. He said yes, and when I questioned him further it turns out what he does is basically acrylic nails but instead of acrylic powder he pulled out a powder that was called gel powder? I told him that is not what I wanted and that I was looking for the gel nails that you cure under the light and the french manicure lasts for up to 2 weeks. I told him that I just wanted a manicure. He said in his very broken English that his product is better for my nails and that the gel nails that I wanted hurts my nails over time. He said that his product doesn't do any damage to my nails and that they french manicure will last for 2 weeks. I decided to trust him. Huge mistake. I should have stopped him when he pulled out the sanding drill but I asked again will this hurt my own nails. He again assured me that there will be no damage to my own nail. When I got home I started to take a closer look at my nails and they look terrible. After one day the french was chipping and they are extremely thick. They are rough on the sides and my nail beds actually hurt. I went back in to complain. All that I got was attitude from the owner. I explained that they are not what I wanted and that he had said that french polish would last for 2 weeks. He said that he would do the french again. I explained that they are also VERY THICK and ROUGH on the edges and they just look fake. His reply was that they all look like that. Hmmm Really? I told him that I just wanted them off. He was explaining something to me but between him talking thorough his face mask and the very limited English I was lost. Before I knew it we were debating over what the charge was. Did I pay $32 or $38? Who cares... It was only $6... I wasn't asking for my money back. I just wanted the shabby work that he did removed. During this conversation he did say that they would take them off have a seat and they will be with me later. HUH? I got so frustrated with the entire thing I just walked out. This was a disaster and now I am going to have to pay another salon to have them removed.. read more

Worst nail place I have ever been to. One of my gel nails broke so had to do acrylics. They were un even, rushed, and very sloppy. Almost embarrassed to say I got them done. This place is right by my work is why I tired it. When I went to have them removed. Rather then tin foil and soaking them off they rested in a bowl with towel over and proceeded to use the fast buffer electric device to take rest of the nail off. It hurt and took off my real nails!! My nails are uneven, have higher ridges randomly, soft and raw to the point some hurt to even use. Never again. read more

I have been to many nail salons in my years and I have never been happier than with US Nails. I really don't know why anyone could give them a bad review. I would just ask these people to try them again. This is THE cleanest salon I have ever been to. When they have down time, they are not chatting away, but cleaning. The environment is peaceful. If the water for my pedicure is not to my liking, they will change it, and they will always ask me the minute I dunk my toes in.. My pedicures are always the best. They clean out all debris and hang nails and I never have any hang-nail pain that I have with other salons who just did a superficial cleaning. My acrylic fills last a long time and they do the best shaping job of any salon (nicely narrowed and just the right squaring off). And... they paint evenly! Afterwards, I am not trying to clean out glue from under my nails for the next few days. They do a clean job. read more
