This was my first storage rental experience and I found it to be a great one! Diamond, who I…read morebelieve is the property manager, really won me over with her kind, professional service from start to finish. I rented a 5x10 storage unit, which surprisingly, fit all of my stuff. If I had more furniture - eg, a full couch, dining table, bed, etc. - I don't think this would have been big enough. I got away with the size because I had smaller pieces of furniture, for example, I have 2 chairs rather than a full sized couch. The unit I got was also A/C controlled but I'm not sure if that was necessary given that I didn't store items that would melt or were food related (minus small appliances). I see a few comments that you have to leave an ID (or not) when using their moving supplies. When I went I had mixed experiences, some people asked me to leave something behind whereas other people didn't. I didn't mind either way. A few other comments said that people live here or that it was filthy, which neither was my experience. I never saw trash around the area or inside the buildings. I rarely see people at the storage facility too - every time I've been to drop off items there's usually no one there or at most 2-3 more cars and they're usually not near me at all. I gotta be honest, the ONE thing I was bothered by is that they have mandatory insurance you MUST buy. It's an extra $15 or so per month and I just wish they'd add that into the price rather than surprising you with it when you go to pay

Worst storage in Sacramento and worst experience in my 35+ years. Management called to tell me my…read moreunit was found without a lock on it. Keep in mind I had not been to my unit in over 8+ months which they also verified on their records. Unit had been ransacked and they could not pull video footage or explain to me how it happened. Had a ton of priceless kings memorabilia from the 80's-90's stolen along with a ton of other items including 5 binders full of old sports trading cards. At first they demanded that I buy a new lock for the unit from them. I argued and they gave me a replacement for free. Regardless your items are not safe in this storage facility. Ridiculous to say the least

This is a newly constructed four-story facility that opened in late November with a convenient…read morelocation on 3rd St. between X and Broadway, near downtown and easy freeway access. The manager, Robert, was extremely helpful and spent half an hour with me answering questions and checking the storage unit and gate access to make certain everything was in working order. The facility is pristine and very modern, with a large reception area and motion-activated lights in the corridors and inside the units. Almost all of the units are internal, with none of the dust that is common at storage facilities with direct drive-up access. Robert said there are 1,200 units and I was among the first 10 renters. Initial prices are very competitive, especially for the downtown area. My rent is 15-20% less than I had been paying for a unit the same size at an older facility in an outlying area. The initial rate is guaranteed for the first six months. For now, access is quick and convenient, with no waiting for parking, elevators or carts. It will be interesting to see if that is still the case after it reaches full occupancy.

I am writing this review because of how I was treated during one of the most difficult moments of…read moremy life. What I am criticizing is the complete lack of compassion and professionalism I experienced dealing with this facility & staff. When I arrived, I was informed by scott(a staff member) that my unit had been sold. The contents of that unit included years of personal belongings, books, awards, clothing, camera equipment, and irreplaceable personal items. Instead of being told privately or with any degree of sensitivity, this information was delivered in front of other people in the lobby. This experience was humiliating. What I did not expect was the absence of basic human decency. There is a way to communicate devastating news to a customer without making them feel exposed and degraded in a public setting. There is a moral difference between an abandoned storage unit and a storage unit belonging to someone who is actively trying to save their belongings. I was not someone who disappeared, walked away, or abandoned my property. I called the week of the auction asking for help, asking for options, asking if there was anything that could be done. I was trying to save my belongings and was met with what felt like indifference and callousness. The loss of my belongings was painful enough. The manner in which the information was delivered made an already heartbreaking situation significantly worse. People going through storage auctions are often experiencing financial hardship, family crises, illness, job loss, or other major life difficulties. They deserve professionalism, dignity, and privacy. That was not my experience. This facility does not employ good people. They only want to humiliate you. What I will remember most is not that my unit was sold. I will remember how little compassion was shown to someone who was desperately trying to prevent it from happening. If you rent here, understand that when you fall on hard times, you may be treated as an account balance rather than a human being. I now associate this facility & the people they employed with one of the worst moments of my life. I will never recover from this. I am devastated. Every fking time I call I don't see your account, when I give mine? Mind you i have not spelled it out for her to say that yet? So how the hell can you see or not see my account if I didn't spell my name it's not easy to spell since there are plenty of ways to spell it. So I asked her well how did you spell it if you cant find? She's like well obviously I didn't spell it right if I can't find it! You need to spell it then I can find it. ok now I had to pull myself together because I remember her from the first time I called when I was stuck behind the gate at their so called 24/7 facility i forgot my phone and needed them to open the gate this bitch took 15 min opening a gate because she can't find my acct again because without asking me how to spell it or what's my full name she putting her own shit in the system I was stuck in the facility for 35 min. I had made a Pod monthly rental reservation for the pod to be delivered to my house the next day…read moreand a couple hours later had to push it out a day, which was no problem to do. The driver Minty R. gave me a call 30 minutes ahead of time saying he was on his way, which he did arrive on time with the 16 foot long container. He was able to deliver it expertly to the back of the house via the driveway and he was able to angle it in exactly where I wanted it. Two overhead cable lines were a little low for Podzilla and so I lifted them while on my ladder and Minty was able to maneuver under it. He was very knowledgeable and professional while even posing for a picture with Podzilla the pod mover! So far the price was right and it was easy to deal with the reservation and we'll see what happens in a month when they pick it up empty again. Or maybe we'll move it full to another location.

I received an email the night before of the time window, and the drivers arrived towards the earlier part of that window. I was home for both drop offs, which may or may not make a difference. But my drop off in Sacramento, Darron did a great job of dropping it off and also ensuring that the door would open. The movers I hired didnt do the best in packing up the pod, so items had jammed in the door. But Darron was able to move stuff around to ensure it opened and closed. This was a cheaper option than a lot of the moving companies I had requested quotes from. As long as you don't mind waiting for your items, I would highly recommend pods for across the state moves.

They have security and a lady on site 24 hours. She is super awesome. There were moments we were late cause of our pay weeks but she was amazing about it. I think we had the storage unit for maybe a half a year to a year. They tend to have deals all round. The place is well cleaned. The elevator they had that we used seemed a bit sketchy. Like I didn't want to over load it with muliple stuff cause I felt it wouldnt work. We ended up going with this location because it was literally next door to us. Convenient and affordable.

In the case of the burglary to my unit, Management and Police have been unhelpful so far. And also I have never left a review good or bad for any busines in my almost 40 yrs of life. So with that being said. I got this unit do to a domestic violence incident in my home I had to take one load and grab as much as I could, everything else of mine and my 3 children was left behind. This is now all we own. Including our vehicle that I shared with him is all gone. Which means getting to and from our unit has been a struggle all in itself. We finally had time and made ride arrangements since the 100 degre weather made taking the bus just not doable With 3 small kiddos. it's been two months since my kids have set their eyes on the little things that make them smile. When we got there the office door was locked it was well past 1 pm and I was told by the employee that she had just started her lunch and to come back in about 30 mins .. I was ok with the request since there was a store right near by that we could go to and stay cool in. An hour later We came back to the office locked again and noticed her on the golf cart moving fast past the gate ..we called to her but I guess me and my babes weren't loud enough? So in the very hot sun we followed after her and finally caught up, to be told she meet us around the other side. Finally she stopped and took my payment info RIGHT THERE OUTSIDE IN THE 102* temperature ? Didn't offer to take us inside or some cold water .. nothing. At that point I'm still ignoring the strange vibes I'm getting. After the payment I asked if she could get into our unit since my purse was recently stolen. I don't have my keys. And, That was ok, No problem she said she'd meet us at my unit in a just a few mins. Thank goodness my unit was actually in a hall way where it wasnt over 100 anymore but still easily 90 something still not ideal for my kids at all.. So tell me why we sat there for almost 30 mins just waiting.. For her to come back and let me know she can't find the drill I'll have to come back in the morning at 930 when they open?!? might sound simple ... if I owned a car.. So NOw I'm irritated, and upset. And hot the kids are hot.. still no offer to cool off in the office or nothing. By then my phone was dead im sweating and we all have to use the restroom so head back to office once again it's locked we have to ask thru the door to go potty. And this is where Im just super confused. As soon as we walked in her attitude changed and seemed annoyed that we're there. Like she don't want to deal with us. Barely lets me and the kids use the rr. And says something about another customer messed up the bathroom had to call plumber .. ? Ok. And then when it's my turn she says something like I'm not sure what your doing in there but I'm gonna have to ask you to get out of the bathroom .. my kids were standing in the door as I was using the sink/mirror to wash the the SWEAT OFF MY FACE. and do my best to reapply some of the make up I lost in the process. Saying that I need to leave now because I didn't move fast enough and some other very weird comments making me feel super uncomfortable like I'm a crack head (no judgemt To any "crack heads") and I'm trying to take over their bathroom. I was in there a total maybe 6 to 7 minutes, and had the door open with my children for half of it. It's all on camera so I really hope I can find corporates number because the way my children and I were treated was beyond unprofessional it was degrading and embarrassing. Treated with no respect as customers or AS HUMANS IN GENERAL? I was in tears as I had to tell my kids to step back outside in the 100 * weather as we waited for a family member to pick us and empty handed with none of our items we came for. The stress this lady caused was so unnecessary and ugly that here I am actually writing about it. Hoping someone can do something about this ? I pay my bill I mind my business and I work in customer service.. I KNOW THAT THIS WAS VERY WRONG. People like that should not exist in that type of work. Im A human with feelings and I didn't deserve that treatment nor my children ..being decent/kind shouldnt be hard. And I have a lot going on in my life and today this was my tipping point. Im sitting here still very upset. Wondering what I did wrong to be treated as I was . wOrst part is I have to go back to that place some how in the morning and see that person again .. to try and get to our belongings smh.
