I had made a Pod monthly rental reservation for the pod to be delivered to my house the next day and a couple hours later had to push it out a day, which was no problem to do. The driver Minty R. gave me a call 30 minutes ahead of time saying he was on his way, which he did arrive on time with the 16 foot long container. He was able to deliver it expertly to the back of the house via the driveway and he was able to angle it in exactly where I wanted it. Two overhead cable lines were a little low for Podzilla and so I lifted them while on my ladder and Minty was able to maneuver under it. He was very knowledgeable and professional while even posing for a picture with Podzilla the pod mover! So far the price was right and it was easy to deal with the reservation and we'll see what happens in a month when they pick it up empty again. Or maybe we'll move it full to another location. read more

I had a really great experience with PODS. I moved from Los Angeles to Sacramento. Both cities did a great job of communicating when they were on their way. I received an email the night before of the time window, and the drivers arrived towards the earlier part of that window. I was home for both drop offs, which may or may not make a difference. But my drop off in Sacramento, Darron did a great job of dropping it off and also ensuring that the door would open. The movers I hired didnt do the best in packing up the pod, so items had jammed in the door. But Darron was able to move stuff around to ensure it opened and closed. This was a cheaper option than a lot of the moving companies I had requested quotes from. As long as you don't mind waiting for your items, I would highly recommend pods for across the state moves. read more

Update on my latest pods shafting. They charged me $406 for the pods they delivered. When I complained they said they would look at it. They cancelled the $406 and charged me $639. I called today and got another different explanation. So I am out $639 because they don't know what they're talking about or just thieves. Very frustrating!! If we or anybody we know is moving I would definitely point them in another direction. They are definitely, the customer is wrong kind of company!!! read more

Had 2 pods dropped off this morning by Benny B and Minty. They found a way to get them both set in a prime location that did not block our neighbors in our small court. Our pod packers used every inch of the pods, so much so that they didn't leave room for the door to roll up. Thankfully, Benny suggested we make sure the door rolled up and when it didn't, spent 20 mins working hard to get the door up. We had to lift the door up a little, pull stuff out slowly while shifting everything with the door only open about 2 feet. If we didn't do this check we wouldn't have gotten the door open. Amazing work and we are thankful for the extra hand. Both our Pods drivers were incredibly nice. read more

My complaint is with PODS management, the companies policy, as well as their risk management team, and not with the service they provide or the delivery people/drivers. I have utilized PODS during three different moves and never had a problem with them until the last move. My wife and I bought a home that has a semi-circular concrete driveway that is raised at both ends. The previous owners of the house used PODS just like we did. The PODS driver who responded to pick their POD up was fairly new and inexperienced as he had only been on the job for 4 months. While he was moving their POD up to the street where his truck was parked, he lost control of the QuadZilla in the rain and it slid down our diveway, knocked over and crushed a 8' tall decorative driveway light post, then jumped our 5" raised curb, ripped out 5' of hedges, and got high centered on our concrete retaining wall. Had the Quadzilla not got stuck and high centered on the retaining wall it would have crashed into the front of our house. The new driver had to call his supervisor out and the two of them were able to get the QuadZilla out utilizing a second QuadZilla. During the process of getting the heavy QuadZilla out they did additional damage to the retaining wall as well as ripping out an additional 10' section of hedges. I filed a damage report, along with taking pictures of all the damage, and got estimates to repair the concrete, replace and rewire the light pole, and replace the hedges that had been ripped out. I was in contact with a PODS risk management employee who reviewed everything and would only reimburse us for the light pole. She said that PODS has it in their contract that they're not responsible for any damage to concrete driveways or curbs. I explained to her in detail that I understood why they would have that in their contract, but this damage was caused from negligence by their driver and not a routine or normal delivery. The drivers supervisor had even told me that he had warned the newer driver during training to be careful when the PODS are filled as theyre much heavier and the Quadzilla can be more difficult to control due to the weight. We went back and forth and I didn't get any progress with her at all. I asked her to have her boss review the claim and she told me that they all did and they stood by their position and final outcome. A week later I received a "closure notice" in the mail with a check for $1,500 to replace the damaged light pole. She told me if I didn't accept the check they would simply close the case with no reimbursement and that they wouldn't reimburse us for the damage to the raised concrete curb, the concrete retaining wall, or the hedges that had been completely ripped out and destroyed. If you decide to go with PODS, know that if they damage your property and are negligent in their delivery, they will not reimburse you for any damage to your concrete or driveway. PODS managements attitude was "take it or leave it" regarding their less than adequate settlement! read more

First off! Best decision! I was so nervous. I live in a HOA gated condo. It's narrow. I learned about PODS from social media post. It offered 30% off, which made it much more affordable for me. I was super nervous PODS wouldn't be able to navigate the little condo streets, but that all went away once Benny Basquez arrived to deliver my POD. I hope when you book, you're lucky enough to get Benny, too! He really made this first experience with PODS amazing! He called ahead and confirmed his eta and was right on time! Benny has such a positive vibe and a great attitude. He didnt mind answering questions and addressed all concerns I had. Benny is very experienced, he was able to maneuver the POD, even with limited space, perfectly into my reserved parking space. In fact, he was so good, I referred to him as Benny aka "the smooth operator," the rest of the delivery!! Benny provided valuable tips to help make my packing process smoother. Because of Benny's excellent customer service, I would definitely recommend PODS to anyone that needs to move. This is such a great option. I'm so glad to be able to eliminate a huge amount of stress and hassle of dealing with a moving truck. Thanks Benny! And Thanks PODS storage!! read more

This review is for PODS, not sure who they subcontract with...we are moving from LA to El Dorado county as a result of the palisades fire in LA and needed a.moving solution. Initially it seemed.like a great solution, the pricing is staged soni didn't have to be out of pocket for the whole move at once which worked well since we had been evacuated and money was tight. The 1st red flag was on the day the pod was scheduled to be delivered, it did not come When I called to question why, the service rep explained to me that the driver left WITHOUT calling or knocking on the door because he "thought i would have heard his truck". ??? This is not an acceptable reason, but also it was garbage day and we have MULTIPLE construction projects on our street. We had 4 adults present in the home to be on hand for the.POD delivery and I had provided 2 phone # which were not utilized by the driver. He did text me about an hour before the delivery window, but as I work nights I did not hear it. He did not ring the doorbell or actually call, and sis not even try to contact my alternative number. The next HUGE problem is that when I arranged to have the pod picked up and brought to my new house, somehow they charged me, then apprehended me and decided I didn't pay. Meanwhile, I was receiving texts and emails confirming the delivery. I had my spouse take days off and hire a crew to unload. Imagine my suprise when I logged into my account that said my pod was still.in LA. I called to try to straighten this out and the rep, Hannah, stated it was my fault for not paying. ?? Again, I am Hella confused bc the money had been taken out of my account. I checked my balance and it had gone back in?? Like wtf?? I had confirmed payment with the prior rep Ann. AND the money was gone. My account is brand new so I don't have a statement yet so I can't see the timeliness but now I am very angry. After spending 37 min and 30 seconds on the phone with Hannah I repaid for the pod. Wow!! I have been staying in an airbnb and expected to be in my home with furniture tomorrow. Nope. My stuff will now arrive may 1st (believe it when I see it). I also have the pleasure of paying an additional month rent for the pod, they don't prorate of course. I asked again for information on how to file a grievance, Hannah refused to provide me with that information. She also refused to.tell.me.what I was being charged today, stated I had to.pay for the delivery and pu at the same time.and maybe the rent? I feel like they did this to collect an additional month pods rent. As it stands, I have to be out of my temporary housing, I have no furniture not even a chair much less a bed or even mattress to put on the floor. This company's internal operations are ridiculously convoluted and they DO NOT streamline anything, if anything they make an already stressful situation much worse. Financially and emotionally I would have been by far better off hiring traditional movers, DIY wasn't possible for me this time. USE PODS IF U WANT, BUT BE PREPARED TO PAY 30% more than the initial quote, not including the extra housing/hotel expenses. Unless u.luke sleeping on the floor in sleeping bags. Thank goodness I brought mine!! read more

Richard Deza dropped off a pod on my street. (Not my pod - a relative's.) It's something to stop and watch, for anyone, at least once. I have give to give credit to Mr Deza for trying multiple times to set the pod in line with the curvature of the street and the curb. He kept at until it was done RIGHT. Which I super appreciate. It's easy to give up and leave things askew, but Mr Deza would not do that. My relative was satisfied too, but they did a really good job packing everything so I'm giving them props too. :) read more

I had a great service with pods. We got a 16' x 8 x 8 POD, which fit everything we needed in our two-bedroom and office home. Our driver Benny Basquez was courteous and gave me a little extra time to make sure I got everything in and secured and loaded the unit up properly smoothly and safely. I couldn't ask for anything more. This pod service is based at McClellan Park. read more

Great service!! Very professional and helpful. I lived in an apartment complex with limited space to drop the pod. They worked with me to drop the pod in a good location and pick it up the same day. The price for the overall package was great. I highly recommend. read more

I'll start with the Pro's: easy to schedule with, good communication & on time delivery and pick up. CONS: Their largest POD was too small for 1500 sq foot house so I had to also get an 8 foot POD. They are expensive. Delivery charge, rent, transportation charges and redelivery charges. A move from Vallejo to Lincoln with one month of rent was over $4,000. Yikes read more

Pods was great. A little more expensive than renting a truck but worth every penny especially when moving longer distances. All the drivers were very nice and on time, My contents was handled with care. Extra shout out for Ray Moran. read more

Nick Torres was the driver to drop off our POD and then to retrieve it. He explained everything very well and gave us tips on loading it. He was very attentive to our needs and concerns. Thanks, PODS, for having employees like Nick. read more

I would use them again! On time and friendly and helpful drivers! Delivery and pick up was flawless!

Oh dear.... The cost of the POD and service is not the issue. It's making contact. The website is very limited capabilities. Reaching customer service can be a 45 minute wait attempt only to find you've been disconnected. Hire more people. You suck. It's not a business that can really be run only by computers. read more

I spoke on the phone with an agent to get a quote. He informed me that offering a credit card number would ensure my pricing so they need one for a quote. I confirmed with him multiple times that my card would not be charged. Months later with no communication, a charge was attempted on my card by Pods. Luckily I didn't believe the shady agent before and offered my card that requires confirmation of each transaction. I was informed that my "quote" was never cancelled. Shady business dealings. Would not recommend. read more

We had a very positive experience, overall. We had the POD delivered to store our furniture in while our home was being renovated. Everything was pretty seamless, delivery and pickup were as scheduled, no damage to our driveway. The payment process was easy as well, all done via CC. They also offered some discounts, which helped. I'd rate them a 5 star except for a couple things. There was some leaking into the POD when the rollup door was opened after a rain. Didn't cause any damage, but it limited our entry into the POD as a result. We also found some of the paperwork process redundant and glitchy. We got docs that asked us to do things that weren't part of the process. For example, when we scheduled pickup, we received an email with the original contract, asking us to sign the contract. Very confusing. After calling PODS, we were told to ignore it, it's just a 'glitch' in the system. We encountered a different glitch when we initiated the contract in December, but I can't recall what that was --been too long. Again, we had a very positive experience, just wish there weren't any confusing 'glitches' to deal with. read more

I am giving PODS a flat no star review. Not only did they LOSE my POD, with all of my belongs inside, they lied to me and continued to try to stall when it became clear they did not know where it had been taken. I had to travel to the facility and work with the man in the office, ( who was very helpful) He located my POD at a secondary facility that was Never in the picture. After 3 months of dealing with them, I am nearly finished, and now they have screwed up the final delivery date. I cant wait for it to be over. There have been individuals who have cared here and there along the line, but over all the company is completely ridiculous and poorly staffed and run. That is what you should do, run. They dont care about you or your things. read more

Do not use them. They will screw you over when returning your empty pod. If you return pod after 3 days from beginning of renewal period, they charge you half a month. That is up to 12 days of rental charge after you have ended your use of the pod. read more

PODS is a rip off! They over charged me and said they only bill in full months. I had 9 days in the month they billed full for. They didn't pro-rate. They didn't add the discounts they were supposed to add from day 1. Basically 6wks with PODS cost me $703.00 Ridiculous! Opening a dispute, that goes nowhere, is not good customer service. DO NOT RECOMMEND! read more

Please run away from PODS! They are a highly unethical business. They have such a big name and it's a shame how they run their business and treat their customers. I booked my pods October 2020. Before I went ahead with the reservation, I asked them if they'll be able to deliver to my location in the future? The sales rep informed me that my delivery location was not in their area of scope however, if I had my pods stored in the closest location (McClellan, CA) and I had it there for at least 6 months they'll make an exception and have it delivered to me. I proceeded and agreed stupidly. Last week, a year and 7 months later, I contact pods to make the expectation to deliver my pods to my location, well guess what? As you can already predict, the McClellan location denies the request and refuses to have it delivered. So summary of this, they would say anything to get your dollars and once they have it, they don't care. Such a lying company. The next unethical practice: my billing cycle runs on the 16th. Since they refused to deliver the pods to my location, I had to schedule a date to come myself to their unit and clear it up. I scheduled a date for the 27th. Only to find out that they would be charging me for a full month even when I'm only using the pods for exactly 11 days in that month. I asked them why? They said they do no prorate. They only give you 3 days of grace after the billing cycle. So be very very careful with this company. They lie and cheat their customers. Third thing to note: trying to contact this location in McClellan is a myth. They are like ghosts. Don't even bother. I'm glad other businesses are running similar ideas now. I would never ever use them again in my life. They are ridiculous and unethical. Stay far far away! Don't say I didn't warn you! read more

We expected to store our stuff in our POD for no more than 6 weeks but it ended up being 15 months!! We are a very tired and overwhelmed elderly couple but Matthew Womack and the crew made every visit we made Easy and stressless. They treated us like were family! They made sure we were hydrated in the summer and would check on us periodically to see if we needed any help. They went above and beyond "The Keepers of the PODs!" The facility at McLaren was always clean and orderly. There was a nice place inside to take a break or have a meal on the long days of going through our pods. After 15 months of storage there was not one bug, insect or rodent droppings in any of our belongings or The POD it self! Ron delivered our POD and he was equally as helpful & kind as the rest of The McLaren staff Thank you for your support and helping us get through a difficult time! We highly recommend you consider storing your stuff there before anywhere else. read more

we had a pod delivered on august 18th to shingle springs and then delivered sept 4th to 444 semple ave in aptos ca. each drop off driver and pick up driver were excellent!!. on time and super courteous, but none of them compared to our final delivery to our destination on sept 4th aprox 8:00am to 444 semple ave. roger from marina was his name. he was outstanding. we had a issue with the driveway to steep to go down so pod needed to be placed in-front of our new home however there was a car there and no clue who it belonged to ... roger helped us fine the neighbor who owned it and politely encouraged them to please move it. he was like a psychologist talking someone off a cliff from jumping. extremely patience and polite to help get this person to come out of their home to move the car. otherwise our delivery would not have happened. we will forever be grateful to roger.... thank you again!!! read more
