We rented a 16' truck from this location. Truck was fine. BUT it got 8 miles per gallon! The other fees were reasonable for a half-day rental. Jennifer Ramos was great. She did all the paperwork quickly and efficiently. She took all the pictures and gave us the keys. In and out in about 10-15 minutes. Truck return took even less time. When we unloaded a mattress we noticed that the inside of the truck was pretty dusty and dirty. You might sweep it before loading if that will affect your load. Highly recommended. read more

Good value in very reasonable prices, very clean and well kept property with trimmed green hedges and plants for landscaping, very professional truthful long-time resident managers, who you can always depend on to be straightforward with you, everything always looks newly freshly painted and complimentary same colors, very secure feeling with high property walls that are painted same color as all the neat buildings, and very nice high gate and fences and great security. Pest/rodent control. Nicest and most secure storage have ever seen in 70+ years. Just all around good feeling there. After just having a unit for a short time, it was very hard to leave there. Hello, I've been renting at Statewide Storage for over 6 months know and everything has been going just fine. I started with a big unit, and just down sized to a little bit smaller unit. The change was very easy and with no problems, the rent just went up about $30-$40 bucks more. This place is worth it because of the safety and cleanliness, and rodent control. Nice grounds. Lots of selection as far as sizes go. The reason for minus 2 stars are: 1) Their holiday hours are kind of ridiculous. Most other storage places are open 365 days a year. Not this one, tried to move some stuff on Labor Day (which I don't consider a major holiday) and they were closed. We even rented a Uhaul online from them but couldn't pick it up because they were closed. They sure let us make a reservation though. Strange. 2) We needed to call the office and called 15 minutes before closing and they had already closed for the day. We found a cheaper place in a better area whose office managers are much more accommodating. I would look elsewhere if you can. read more

I have rented from Statewide Storage for over four years. The price is adequate for the size of the storage facility I rent. The lot is always clean and I feel more than secure storing my items here. The BEST part of renting storage space is the amount of cooperation from the staff. They have gone above and beyond to help me with any questions or concerns. I have never encountered rudeness or disrespect from Jose or Jennifer. They are polite and efficient whether they answer my phone call or if I deal with them in person. I had a storage unit here for almost a year. These folks were great! I didn't feel comfortable setting up auto payments, so they called me every month to remind me about the payment and collect it. That was a great service. The facility is clean and secure. I also rented uhaul trucks from them a couple of times. I'll go back to them again for truck or storage needs. read more

Had our stuff stored here for a month. $15,000 in damages done by rodents. Management refuses to provide proof that they treat for rodents. No insurance offered, and rental insurance does not cover the damages with a named policy. Additionally, when we requested a day or 2 to move stuff to a new unit, and access the damage, we were given less than 24 hours. Over the month our stuff was there, had 3 units. 15,000 damage came from one, evidence of rodents in the other 2 after moving everything out. No, we did not store any food stuff in the units. It was all furniture, kid's toys, Knick-knack stuff. 0 accommodations, cooperativness, or offers to ease suffering from the losses. read more

We have had a storage unit here off and on for the last five years. The owners are friendly and helpful. The site is clean. We rent a 10 x 10 unit that is inside. We were able to fit the contents of our 2 bedroom duplex, including all of the furniture and appliances. It is secure access in and out with pass codes. Just a great experience in storage. read more

The managers Jennifer and Jose have always been friendly and professional with me. The grounds are clean. You can tell they take pride in their facility. I am absolutely LIVID at the poor treatment I have received from the lady in the office. I have rented a storage unit from statewide for at least 10 years, maybe more like 15-20. I always paid my bill on time, every month. I schedule my payments electronically. I received a voicemail last Tuesday that my payment had not been received. I was surprised, checked my account, and sure enough I had forgotten to schedule the payment which was due the 5th. I immediately scheduled the payment, but it would not clear the bank until Friday the 13th. I called Statewide to tell them. I got automated call, but then a man picked up and as I identified myself, all of a sudden the call dropped. I wasn't too worried, worst case would be a late fee. The next day I got another call which I answered. The lady (never identified her name) said that since I was late I needed to pay $10 late fee. I said fine, but I've already scheduled the payment so the $10 will have to come separately. She insisted that full payment, including late fee, needed to be paid immediately in full. So now I'm a little upset. I explained that I have been a good customer in good standing for years. She said it didn't matter, I had signed a contract. WHAT? I'm talking to a human being...you can't make a judgement call for a good, LONG time customer? The answer is no. I told her I was out of town, I already scheduled the check for delivery on Friday. The $10 would have to wait. She told me my option was to pay in full right there on the phone. Well, I'm not giving her any of my credit information over the phone. Again, she's going to have to wait. She also told me she has multiple customers who are late every month so she does this all the time. WHAT? I said that's not me. This is where she needs to look at my payment history and make a decision. She told me they would return the check they received. I'm livid, "do what you need to." And I hung up on her. Today, Monday, she called me back and told me they received my check, they are returning it to me, and NOW I am in pre-lien and owe $25 MORE. WHAT? Also, I no longer have the option of paying with check, they want cash or credit card. I told her I am amazed at the poor customer service, the fact that they can treat a LONG TIME good paying customer so threateningly. She denied being threatening. Well, as a customer who has an exemplary credit rating, I am insulted. I hung up on her again. She immediately called me back and said we must have gotten disconnected. I told her, "no, you insulted me and I hung up." Then I hung up again. She called me again! I let it go to voicemail. This is basically the message..."I'm calling you back but you keep hanging up on me. Pay before the 28th to avoid more late charges and that's when it goes up for sale..." So, I'll pay a stop payment on the check already issued, I'll send her a new payment with TWO late charges for one month, but I will be removing my stuff from her storage unit before another month goes by. I will also be contacting Better Business Bureau and Bureau of Consumer Affairs. And I, like another review I see above, will file a formal complaint for the mouse damages that I found in my unit a few months ago. Plus file a complaint about the broken door to my storage building (remains cocked open and has ALWAYS been broken). They can keep all their customers "who are late every month." They just lost one who used to be a sure payment. read more

The manager and her husband are awesome!! U-Haul corporate changed my reservation that the Manager made for me and U-Haul corporate treated me terribly over the phone. I called the manager back at Statewide to ask if there was anything else I could do to make corporate give me a truck and she told me to come right back and she would make it right. You don't find that very often! And it literally saved my move! She was so sweet and helpful. I always rent my trucks from here and I am always glad that I did! read more

I WILL NEVER USE Statewide Self Storage in Antelope, Ca. As a U-Haul customer, I parked my vehicle in their parking lot for three hours while I was picking up a reserved U-Haul truck out of town. In the three hours of open business, SSS had my vehicle towed from their lot at the cost of $190.00 to get it out the same day!! They told me they tried to find out who the vehicle belonged to by looking at my registration. She looked in 'her system' to try and call me but I wasn't a storage renter. I was a U-Haul renter. The manager, Jennifer R. , told me I wasn't her customer. The sign on the business says 'Statewide Self Storage + U-Haul'. I explained I was in the U-Haul system and she should have looked in there. She refused to admit fault. She flat out told me if I would have called her earlier, she would NOT have had it towed. But even once she DID know, she actually said to me, "Too bad!" I have never had such TERRIBLE customer service and I will continue to tell my story as long as someone will listen. This was a MISTAKE made by the business and they should have admitted FAULT, reimbursed me the money they cost me and APOLOGIZED for their mistake. THAT is good business to admit your fault rather than make your customers pay for it! I guess the management doesn't consider U-Haul customers their customers though. So watch out U-Haul people, you are NOT THEIR CUSTOMERS. read more
