    Great service. I claimed a dispute on the gas, the employee did not give me a hard time for it and he was very friendly and cheerfull

But just last week they were great. We did the self reserve truck twice and it was easy. At one point we had no moving blankets in the truck and the staff were on top of it to get us some. I made a online reservation for a 26" truck. It was fairly straightforward to book but the reservation times were limited and inaccurate. It also didn't make sense that they charge 3x more to drop off the truck at a different U-Haul location. It's not cheap either. They charge like $1.19/mile so it can quickly add up. I went in on a Saturday which they said is typically busy but I didn't have to wait long to get checked in. Everything was ready. Nothing exceptional about the service though. Here comes all the complaints... First, when we got to our truck, the back loading door was slightly open and apparently a homeless person was sleeping there. There were trash and cigarette butts in there. The cleanliness of the space was very questionable. I didn't feel comfortable putting my items inside but didn't have no choice. When we turned on the truck, the check fuel cap light went on. The tank came less than 1/4 full. During the entire time during the drive, the car's steering wheel was out of alignment and kept on shifting. When I called the customer service about it, they just said it shouldn't be a problem and that I can call the u-haul emergency service if the truck decides to break down. That didn't give me any reassurance at all as the driving didn't feel safe. Luckily nothing ended up happening. Overall, had a poor experience with this U-Haul location.

    I'm kind of torn about what to give this place…read more I needed a truck on a Saturday morning to swap some furniture from my storage unit to my home. Uhaul, Budget, everyone was already booked up. Handy Andy gets bonus points for being able to accommodate me without an advance reservation. They also got us checked out quickly and charged the same rental fee as the other "big boys." The subtraction point is because the truck was an absolute junker. There was a hole in the driver's seat so big I could put my whole arm through it all the way to the floor. The truck cab was filthy. The cargo area floor was ripping up and there was no ramp. The truck was making a horrible noise - as if a belt was about to go. It felt like the suspension and shocks were totally shot. We had to be extra careful about using enough furniture padding and tie-downs. The place itself is an absolute dump. A literal junkyard. We left there wondering about the company's worker's comp history. There are tools hanging hap-hazardly all over the walls, multiple story shelves and an enormous crazy-hot totally open space heater that would have caught my pants on fire if I had been unfortunate enough to back into it while in line. The guys were nice enough and I did get a last-minute truck. But yeesh - what a rundown dump.

I said do what you gotta do. he was within a legal right so it is what it is. just expect a passive aggressive asshole when you go and you won't be disappointed

I received a text message offering to haul something from point A to B and get a credit on A DIFFERENT VEHICLE THAN WHAT I RESERVED. I spoke to a young lady named Kirna, which I could not understand a word she was saying. She didn't want to give me her name at first, until I had her spell it. I requested to the manager and she said that Harley Johnson was not in the office. I called again their 1-800 number. A lady answered, who had a terrible attitude and said that someone had called me to tell me that my "reservation" had changed. I informed her that this wasn't the case, that all was discussed was going up to 20 miles to pick up a truck. She had a terrible customer service approach, stating she was from Sales, and transferred me to the scheduling office in Everett. She transferred me to that office and I spoke with Amy. Amy reiterated again that someone had confirmed the change via phone with me. I told her I wouldn't be calling if I wasn't surprised by this information (they changed my reservation without notification from a 26 foot truck to a 20 foot truck). I asked to speak to the manager and she said Harley was on her lunch. Please know 30 minutes have gone by and no one has called. They don't care and are terrible at customer service. Not even a single call for apology. You deserve to be out of business, and I will make sure to inform the companies I do business with to not do business with you - because you cannot even hold a reservation. YOU ARE THE WORST! HARLEY JOHNSON never returned my call.
