I followed all of the rules, and yet just weeks before my price increase, management threatened to kick me out for "being there too much during business hours." Very bizarre. Great location. Nice facility. But my plans to rent long-term from this company certainly changed. I waited almost a year to post this review for fear of retribution, but I have long since severed my relationship with this company. I would not do business here again.

The staff has always been friendly and always helpful. The the unit was secure, low priced and the facility clean. All the years we stored there, and we had two units, there were never any issues. They even offered us cold bottled water when we were sorting our stuff on a hot summer day. We loved that the staff were responsive and security minded. It makes a big difference compared to a few places we tried before. We will tell our friends and when we need storage again, we will return. Thank you for a pleasant experience.

We started with the first month being $1, which was great but soon found out they would increase the rent by $20+ dollars every 6 months and we had to insure everything which increased the rent by $15 a month. 2020 we didn't see any increases, thankfully! Be careful with auto pay, even if you always pay on time - they will charge you a late fee if you are one day late due to a system error and they won't refund it. We gave notice a week before returning to WA and stopped our auto pay. We got a call two days later saying we needed to take our key to the office by X date or our locks would be cut because they planned to do sprinklers checks. Thankfully that date was after we planned to move but at the same time- what would happen if we couldn't get them a key because we were out of state, they would just cut our lock and leave it like that? Seems like very short notice for anyone not planning to move out of their unit or living locally. One plus and it's a big one, is that after 4 years, there weren't any signs of bugs or rodents like you sometimes see with storage units. The move out was easy, when I went to tell the woman our unit was empty she confirmed she had already checked it and we would receive an email confirming our move out.

Trust me there are plenty of other storage places around that won't be playing with your money every year. this is the automated letter they send you - We are contacting you to communicate an adjustment in the monthly rental rate for unit 1234 at Anthem Self Storage. We do not take adjusting your rental rate lightly and understand cost increases impact you. We want you to know that this is not a reflection of your tenancy but of several other factors. When we make rental rate adjustments we consider rising facility costs, facility maintenance needs, facility improvements and current rental market conditions among many other factors. With all this in mind, effective with your rent due on 3/1/2026, your new monthly storage rent will be (20% higher for no apparent reason) This increase only effects your rental rate.
