dont do it dont let any one you cannot stand even do it your things will be much safer if you were to just pile it in the alley downtown china town and put a tarp over it i paid for security which was to include security cameras and guess what out of 200 units the 3 in my little row were the only ones who couldnt be monitered by cameras ...my orignal amount to be paid for such a useless space was never to reach over 100 cuz i live on a fixed income and know what i can afford well that didnt stick needless to say the storage management (genie) has 636354271800373552r4239746 different personalities and faces that her maker in life will need to deal with her no help for her bessides getting a new life morals and attitude......anyhow after 3 years i had to agree to leave pay for 2 months i didnt couldnt wasnt alliwed to enter my unit but paid for it and then had to find someone else to go into my storage pack it up go thru keeps and donates sells and gives aways i was not allowed because i was demanding to be paid the 40 dollars for almost 30 months they helplessly over charged me ...to no availe they only gave me a 50 dollar credit towards the 2 months i was denied entry to my unit i wasnt pleased or fwlt apperciated i was told i scammed the company this place also took what ever they wanted from my non secured non moneritered unit anytime i mad them upset or questioned them about things so i am taking them to court do not do it lastly try to get the distric manager or corporates phone number so you can talk to someone with morals and understands the usa way of agreements and who doesnt lie 3 years would never give it to me thats another reason i had to relicate my trash they left for me to move read more

The light has been out upstairs by my unit for over a year. Multiple requests to get it fixed or even put up a lamp for safety. Completely ignored every time. It's also a million degrees upstairs. No access to water or bathrooms unless someone is there, which is hardly ever. And they jack up the rent constantly. I started at $220 and was up to $360, even with no ventilation or adequate lighting. read more

I refuse to rent a U Haul at any other location anymore.Every single time I come in to this location I'm greeted very friendly , the vehicles are in good shape, the process is smooth and the employees are excellent.I'm a return customer and will stay true to this location. I made a reservation for a 10' truck online and selected Everett Secure Self Storage as my pickup location. I arrived there at 12:30 PM for the pickup, and seated at the counter was a woman of the name Stacy. I explained to Stacy that I had a reservation and would like to pickup my truck. She asked for my name, which I gave to her. She then said in a short tone that I had to self-check-in and that my truck has been ready since 11am. I attempted to do so on my phone, though the website gave me no option. It only showed me my reservation after I clicked the start button from the email. I told her I was unable to do so, and she made a call to someone, then told me to make sure my GPS was on. I told it was and it was not working. So she manually checked me in with great reluctancy. Upon request I gave her my Florida issued driver license and she requested a WA driver license, I told her I did not have one. She then said that I need a job or local reference. I was surprised, as I have never had issues with renting a U-Haul with my driver license in California. I gave her my employers name, supervisor, address and phone number as requested. She then proceeded to call and verify my employment. When nobody answered the call, she left a message. She then asked me for another contact phone number. I told her I did not have one. She then proceeded to finish the check-in. Next she asked me to sign the paper for the truck waiver, and I replied "don't we need to walk around the truck". She told me I could do it myself, which I did and notated the various damage on the truck. The final paper she had me sign was the contract which stated a 9am return time. I told her I had booked a 24 hour rental and that 9am was too short. She said, "well we have another rental booked at 9". I told her my confirmation said 24hr. In the end I signed the paper, and notated a later pickup time. She told me the keys were in the truck and I would have known, if I had finished the online check in as it was notated there. I thanked her and left. On the drive home I called the local, corporate U-Haul rental location and spoke to them about driver license requirements. The woman there said all I needed was valid license from any state or even Canada. So this leaves me confused. This accounting of todays U-Haul pickup is hands down my worst experience with U-Haul. I have rented trucks and trailers from corporate locations and neighborhood branches. I have NEVER encountered so much frustration and lack of empathy from an employee/contractor. Stacy was unpleasant to be serviced by, and provided me with inaccurate information, and requested information of me which seems invasive. I will rent from U-Haul in the future, but I will NEVER pickup from Everett Secure Self Storage not consider them for any storage needs. read more

Stacy is great! She explains everything very clearly, she also helped with measurements and explaining the things that would fit in my selected unit. It's incredibly clean and secure. The police use the building as a training facility after 11pm. Thus the strict rules on times. Highly recommend l! read more

The conversation and support about my items being secured was beyond comforting. It made me feel super safe. The easy u haul agreements you helped me out with was seamless. We lucked out finding this place. Especially with our terrible experience we had with the other storage and U-Haul places we had in the area. You really did customer service natural and to the point. I've had a great experience here. Management is friendly, they never screw up my payments or billing, and when my credit card was stolen and I forgot to give them updated CC info, they were super nice about it and didn't charge me a late fee or declined payment fee even though they would have been totally justified in doing so. The property seems very clean and I've never noticed any indiciation of pests or rodents. Location is good, access is easy, and their access hours (5am-11pm) are better than what I've had at Public Storage and other places. They have plenty of flat carts inside all the buildings for easy loading and unloading of interior units even when multiple folks are moving in or out at the same time. Prices are some of the lowest I've found, which makes this an extra-great deal considering the quality of service/product they provide. All in all, I've been very happy storing my things here - I'd recommend them to anyone in the north end. read more

The quality of the units is great, they are nice and clean and I'm impressed that when I go to my unit there is no dust on anything. However, the people who work here are terrible at their jobs or just really dumb. I am traveling over seas which is why most my belongings are in storage. I received a email from my bank that my credit card information had been stolen. I recall from setting up that they wanted me to actually fill out a paper form for my automatic payments. So I emailed them asking if they could email me the form, I would then print it, and sign it like they want and mail it back. Seemed easy enough. The response I received was that they couldn't do that and that I had to actually go to the office to fill out the form and update my automatic payment information, or call every month and make a payment over the phone. After going back and forth on this, and trying to explain how bad this policy is and that having a stack of peoples credit card numbers on paper in a file cabinet does not make my information safer like they seem to think it does, she eventually let it slip in one of her responses that I could pay online. When I asked why she didn't offer this in the first place, she didn't respond but did sent the link. Guess what? Not only is it possible to pay online, it is also possible to enroll in automatic payments through the link she sent me. My guess is they have to pay a fee and don't want people to use that method as it cost them a buck or two, or That is why I say they are either bad and there jobs or just dumb. Either way, for me it means a negative review on yelp and when I'm back in the states I'll be switching to another storage facility. We have plenty of other options in the area some of which cost less each month. read more

Rude woman at the desk. I understand that some places won't have vehicles ready on hand and that a reservation is best but she made me feel stupid about it. Look it's fine if you don't have anything available but don't treat people like their stupid for doing a walk in request. No is no I understand. It was absolutely uncalled for how her eyes became annoyed and her tone seemed exhausted with me just by a simple question of "do you have any trucks?" Amazing facilities and great staff! This was my first time renting storage space and Stacy made things super easy. I day after I moved up from Oregon, Stacy took me around and showed me the different size options available to me. While touring around the buildings, I was impressed at how clean and secure the grounds looked. I ended up going with a larger unit than I originally planned on and Stacy was amazing at getting everything set up. She went over all the paperwork with me and was very clear in answering all my questions. I was able to store my belongings the same day and was out of there in 90 minutes. A big plus was being able to leave my 10' Uhaul truck there! I was going to take it farther north, but Stacy was able to talk to the Uhaul reps and have them change my drop off location to the Self Storage address. Great place! I was there on a Sunday night after 4th of July at 10:25 to access my unit. The gate did not open after entering my code four times. So, I called the emergency number, which is the only number you can call at that time, after office hours. I told the person on the phone the situation. She got my name unit number and phone number and said somebody will call me back. Until, the next day somebody never called me back. If that was a real emergency, and one would need to get out of the property, would that have been handled differently. I hope so, because the person did not even ask me weather my call was an emergency or not. She did not sound very professional. read more

I rented a small 5'x7' unit on an emergency situation. My townhouse had sold 11/29/21 & I had till 12/29 to be completely out. Well the neighbor had a leaking which caused damage to my unit & started a chain reaction of 2 more leaks approximately 2 weeks before having to be completely out. So with all this stress, still having to work & trying to find someone to repair all the leaks & put it back together. I then had to find a storage unit to put the rest of my stuff in. I thought the one unit would be enough, but because we were trying to hurry, we didn't stack very well, so we have to get a 2nd one. So after paying over $8,000 for repairing a house that wasn't mine anymore, I had to rent a couple storage units. At least they were half off! I also had to pay $12. per month, per unit for Insurance, but I was told I would get that back when I show proof of home owners Ins. When I did show them right before I moved out ( a week early) I was told that no refund was due. So they lied to me! I rented 2 units for 2 months & they can't give me the $48. Back that they said they would. That's not right! I was even nice enough to give the locks & keys back. So the customer service sucks & they don't honor what they say. Don't rent from this company!!! read more

I chose Everett Secure self storage because of how close it was to me, and I'm glad I did. Stacy was extremely helpful and kind. I just needed to store my things for two or three months and I felt very safe leaving my things there. If you're not on the first floor you have to put in your code 3 times, so someone really has to be determined. It's very reasonable prices, I paid around $90-$100 for a 5x5 and that included the lock, and two months paid for. I plan on storing with them again if I ever need to. We've had storage units here for over a year now. We've had big units little units and in between units based on our needs at the time. The units are clean, the security seems good, the staff is wonderful and the prices are reasonable. Now we are moving out but the staff is still very friendly and helpful. I almost wish... If you become easily annoyed when asked questions like"Why do I need to bring in a gas receipt?" you should probably not work in customer service. TL:DR: Stacy is a STORAGE facility manager and renting uhaul trucks is beneath her. Do not rent a uhaul from this location unless the management is changed. The truck itself was in good condition. It all started with us arriving 20mins early. We'd selected this location b/c it was within walking distance from our home. That was a mistake- we should have figured out the driving and rented from a real Uhaul facility. When we got there early after informing Stacy who we were she told us we were early and to just come back in 20 mins- obviously expecting us to wait outside. She then went out the back door to smoke & chat with a friend. We instead hung out waiting for her in the office area- which seemed to piss her off. After 10mins she came back in and rather nastily started checking us in. She was just very passive aggressive and while there was no out & out rudeness(that day) she went out of her way to make things difficult. From insisting that we bring in a gas receipt(reason given was that thieves have stolen gas from their trucks at night but we were returning during office hours- not after hours) to refusing to go on a walk thru with us to note damage to the truck & where the gas gauge was at.(She stated several times that it wasn't her job to do this or know that b/c she was a STORAGE MANAGER.) I informed her we were only going to mount vernon(40miles away) and back yet she estimated 200miles for our truck and instead of a $100 hold my credit card had a $230 hold on it. The bill ended up being $120- so now I have to wait for that authorization to fall off. I tried to let her know this while checking out and she was rude about it saying that it was standard- when the day before she'd said it would only be a $100 hold. Just a very petty & passive aggressive person. The trucks & grounds are very well maintained- we had no issues with vehicle performance and the loading & unloading went well. read more

My folks have a unit here - and we've stopped by several times to pick up things on their behalf. The grounds are well maintained and the area feels very safe. On a recent trip we had a situation where the key jammed in the lock and we weren't able to open the unit or to remove the key. Stacy in the front office was amazing - after calling my folks to confirm we were legit she helped extricate the key and drill out the lock - just before the movers arrived to haul out some of the items. The facility was clean & seemed secure. Upon check in, the clerk was friendly & helpful. I made it very clear that, due to a sensitive situation @ home, I didn't want any mail coming to my home. I paid for 2 months & provided a private email if correspondence was necessary. The clerk said she understood my situation & would honor my request. At 2 weeks into my second month, a bill was sent to my home. The rent wasn't due till the 30th. Due to this breach in agreement, I was forced to move out of the unit & dispose of most of my belongings. The clerk who checked me out was the same person who checked me in. This time she was very rude. She wasn't aware yet that I was very upset, so her rudeness only made matters worse. After I calmly advised her that she agreed to protect my privacy & she failed to do that, there was no apology from her; just a smirk. Another issue was the closing time. Signs everywhere advising the closing time of 11:00 pm. I had a 3 week trip coming up so had to do all I needed to do re: the storage unit after work each night, to get it all done before my trip. The first night I went thru the exit gate at 11:00 pm. The next day, there was a note on my unit door stating, "you exited @ 11:00:29 pm. A fine will be assessed for exiting after 11:00". OK, I get that. Worked late in the unit again. Following day, a note on the unit said "you left @ 10:56pm". Next note said "10:53 pm, remember we will fine you after 11:00 pm". I chose this particular facility BECAUSE they were open until 11:00 pm. If you want people out by 10:45pm, or whatever, then post THAT as the closing time! read more
