I did a lot of research before I went to frame it and trust me you're not gonna find any place with the service and the price! We've now been there about five times with different size print lithographs and originals. Their work is impeccable from the glass or plexiglass to the way they install it with the custom matting the hanging mechanisms And the back paper. They're finished work is amazing. Jonathan who's got probably 20+ years experience did a lot of work and has incredible skill and Svetlana the manager really is wonderful as a skilled art tech, and relationship builder , and really has an artistic flare. In fact probably 150 feet from their shop is her well stocked art gallery which is loaded with every single type of art piece you can even imagine! The prices were very fair and much less expensive than the other places that I called in the surrounding area ( I researched!)there's no way you can do this work on your own for any less than they do it because of the price of plexiglass and even cut glass nowadays! ( and Mattes!!)One of our prints we brought in a frame and a piece of glass and Svetlana actually even cut it for us for free! Wewould go back to this place and intend to any day. You've definitely got to go here and while you're waiting, there's a brand new sushi restaurant right across from them. I thought the deal on the frame was pretty reasonable, same price I paid for frames 5 years ago at the frame shop in u vil. Considering inflation I'd say that's reasonable. Similar to what the other reviewer said, the owner appears to be very obnoxious. From the moment I entered, the owner's demeanor was off-putting. It left me a pretty sour taste in my mouth that I have to write this review. We came in to inquire about framing a large calligraphy art piece and asked for a general rough estimate, or the price range. When I showed the owner the photo, before even finishing my sentence and giving her the measurement, she said in a condescending tone, "How am I supposed to know how big this is and what size this is?" I should have known this was already a bad start, but it set a negative tone for the entire visit.   The whole time, she appeared visibly annoyed when I was at her shop with a dismissive attitude. She kept telling me she could not give me a general price range or estimate, which is understandable. Still, she didn't even bother doing rough calculations, inquiring about our needs, or offering different options. The owner appeared more interested in dissuading us from their services. She kept telling us that it would be expensive and that we should look for other competitors, almost as if we couldn't afford it. We never even attempted to complain about the price and we couldn't, because we didn't even know how much it would cost. It was pretty shocking that an owner would speak this way to a potential client. Maybe she has a bad day. Who knows? Regardless of the quality of their products, the owner's demeanor overshadowed any potential benefits. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend them. As the owner said, "You should look at a few other places before coming here; it is expensive." Edit: Look at the owner's reply--it has the same condescending tone. I did inform the owner of the measurement after I finished showing her a photo. It's unreasonable for me to bring a couple of my 4 x 7-foot artworks in without first inquiring for more info. This already tells you a lot about how she deals with customer feedback respectfully and if she addresses any concerns with empathy. read more

I would give the store 6 stars if I could. I brought in a rather difficult job, which I was unsure could be done. Svetlana helped me take the frame of an old large print which was carefully preserved with its original matting intact, and reused my frame for a thicker hand-sewn quilt whose different texture 'popped' beautifully in the old frame. They say when you buy a numbered artwork the lower numbers are more valuable, but I know my second-highest series of Arvid's "American Bordeaux" was hanging on the wall in the artist's own house for a few years, and that's all the value I need. I've had that Arvid hanging on the wall without a frame for several years, while collecting corks from a hundred or so wines. Every cork tells a story and when I arrived at U-Frame-It carrying the painting and a bag of corks, along with a way I'd seen a similar painting framed, Svetlana and Ethan were excited at the challenge of making something unique and special. Their quality of craftsmanship is excellent, and they take the time to make sure every customer is completely satisfied. Even on my artwork, there was an out-of-stock issue on my first choice of inner frame, so they completed the work with a second-best option but have offered to replace the inner frame for free once it's in stock. I have mixed review about this place. I must have been by this location 100 times in the last few years and never went in until I had 2 personal paintings framed here last month. I picked this place mainly due to the location being convenient for me even though a friend recommended a different frame shop in Downtown Bellevue. John helped me when I came in and suggested a frame for my paintings. He was friendly and attentive. The frame he chose wasn't a bad choice and was similar to what I had in mind so we looked at a couple more. He found a frame that was exactly what I wanted but only found the brown/wood one. He let me know that they have it in black and he would be able to do it he just couldn't find the sample. That was fine with me so I accepted. Based on my friends recommendation of a place she used in Downtown Bellevue I estimated what the cost might be to have my 2 pictures framed but the quote he gave me was roughly 3x what I expected. I was torn because I've wanted to frame these pictures since I painted them 10 years ago and have never found a frame the right size. I reluctantly accepted and left the pictures. John told me they should be ready in about a week. Maybe 4 business days later I got a call that my pictures were ready. I went in to pick them up and they were nicely wrapped for me to take home. Upon pick up they opened the package to insure the frames were acceptable. They looked great. U-Frame It did a beautiful job and I'm very happy with the result but I can't help but think I could have saved $100 if I went to the place my friend recommended. I see now that they have a check-in offer on Yelp and wish I would have seen it before because at least I could have saved $30. I'm not sure if I'll visit here again or not. Maybe I chose a really expensive frame (even though it was just a super simple flat black frame)? I can say that the craftsmanship is great here but it might be worth shopping around and getting some quotes before you settle on a place to get your frames done! read more

They have an expansive frame and mat board selection, and what's really neat is that samples of the frames are velcro'ed to the store walls. This allows you to pull pieces from the wall to see and feel how it would complement your art, especially if you have it with you. In my case, I had two art prints to compare and contrast because I was purchasing them from their sister store, Exclusively Art. Regarding the process, once you select your frame, the store takes over and will tailor the frame to your art per your desired specifications. That's all there is to it. Since this store is a small business, please keep in mind that there may be a lead time for the framing work. As a bonus, the store owner was really helpful. I felt no pressure to rush a choice which made building my desired piece a more pleasant and fun experience.
