If you have VW and your door regulator and motor is broken they will give you 45 days later service appointment for 2 hours job. Even if you purchase parts from them and if parts in your hand. Otherwise you have to drop your car entire week and rent a car to go work is another $2000. We have 2 VW . One is 2 years old electric and other 12 years old planning to get a new one this year now I am thinking maybe this is not a good idea. Just went to Tynan's for the first time for an oil change. Not only was it very easy to book an appointment online, it was easy to drop off my car too. My receipt says Brian Williams was my service advisor so shouts out to him. The guy i spoke with when dropping off my car was also very kind and sent me a list of all the maintenance I needed which is what i requested. Paid over the phone also which was easy and the cashier was kind and thorough and honored the online coupon. I was also able to pick up my car around 8pm after service has closed. I went out to my car and noticed that they had done a very good job cleaning the entire exterior they also washed all of my windows including the insides! So I hadn't heard a lot of good things about Tynan's when I first moved to Colorado 6 years ago. I had a 1997 Jetta at the time. I ordered a set of rubber floor mats from the parts department here and wasn't really impressed one way or another with the service; so it took me until about two weeks ago to return. Honestly, if it wasn't for a particular used GTI they had on the lot I doubt I would've been back at all. Now I can say I'm almost regretting it, even though I love my "new to me" car. The quick break down of my experience is that after my initial visit I have had to return three times and I have to go back for a fourth time still. :-( First was because my car was a certified pre-owned, but the paperwork was mixed up with another car; so the inspection had to be redone. Second was to pick up the car, but they didn't have my spare keys. Third was for the spare key which wasn't synced to the car, but the service guys had gone home. So now I need to go back for a fourth time to get that squared away. During my initial visit when I met with the guy in finance to get my loan squared away... My name was misspelled on all the docs. Needless to say my loan is misspelled with the bank and I have to jump through some hoops to fix that. Sarah, the sales associate that helped me, was very friendly and apologetic about the situation. But it gets to the point where enough is enough... I just want to be enjoying my new car not cleaning up your mistakes. read more

Had an incredibly positive experience with the service department. Tom McAllister was the service manager who handled my repairs. He was extremely polite, provided excellent communication each step of the way, and most importantly- the service team fixed my car! After two failed visits to another dealer, I walked in here a skeptic. Gave Tom my back story of oil leaking repeatedly all over the engine of my Golf with a mere 17k miles. Turns out I had not one but two leaky gaskets- the second wasn't found initially, but the team located it after repairing the first and were able to order a replacement part before returning the car to me. Great persistence to actually fix the problem! I wish I knew the name of the techs who worked on my car so that I could thank them directly. This will definitely be my go to place. This review is for SERVICE DEPARTMENT only! I took my car in back in February because it was overheating. It turned out the water pump was broken. The service department got it fixed and from that day, my car started rattling at random times during start up. We took the car back but since the car did not rattle every start up, they claimed to not know why it happened. We were moving out of state the week after so after a few try and got the "idk what's wrong", we decided to go to another mechanic when we arrive at new destination. We recently took the car to jiffy lube for oil change and the guy there (prob not even a mechanic to actually fix the car) detected the problem right away. The fan under the hood had lost all its screws. It was also severely damaged. He suspected it was the dangling fan hitting the sides that made the shaking movement and freaky sound. It had never happened until we took the car to Tynans!! How do you take the car apart and not put it entirely back on? Weren't you surprised that there were EXTRA SCREWS laying around?!?! Now the car rattles every time we start and sometimes during driving. It is going to cost us more to fix it now, thanks Tynans. read more

I purchased two Jettas from them in 2012 and would not recommend them due to after the sales behavior. After the signing of the papers my spouse decided she did not want the extended warranty. They said no problem and just give them a few days to due proper paperwork and refund the money. That was the last time anyone would answer her calls or speak with her. She did not curse at them or anything, but they simply did not want to give the money back which was several thousand dollars. This was the third car I had bought from them (had a 2010 Scion XB also). I have purchased four new cars since then and would never, ever purchase from them and tell everyone about the experience my wife had and how they kept her money. The finance department is horrible at this organization. My last four cars were purchased at a Mercedes dealership and Cherry Creek Dodge. The waiting area, while nothing to get excited about, is quite comfortable and I was able to get online and get work completed while I waited. Before I left, I also spent some time at the Parts Desk with Josh Brown researching a solution to play music from my iPhone through my factory stereo... Had to wait over 3 hours for "express service". No excuse or reason why it took so long, just a shrug and a mumble about how sometimes it takes longer. When I got my car back it REEKED of cigarette smoke! Cashier was very rude and didn't care that the total was wrong. The service manager fixed it and reprinted out the papers, but the cashier tried to charge me the original amount and argued with me when I told it wasn't right. Again the service manager had to step in and correct her. I was thinking about upgrading, but this experience has convinced me not to buy VW or at least not to have it serviced here if I do. read more

I've been here twice. The first time was fine (they did recommend a lot of unnecessary repairs, but that's standard). The second time, they changed my headlights incorrectly (which should be extremely easy for a dealership), charged me for the non-functional headlight replacements, then told me that I had an electrical problem and would need to pay for a diagnosis. I took the car to another mechanic who was able to fix the brackets the Tynan's mechanic had bent out of shape so that the headlights would connect again. When I called Tynan's to ask for a refund for the headlight replacement that had 1) not worked and 2) caused a problem, they simply took down my number and promised to call me back. I called them once a week for about two months with no call-back before I just gave up. People are all very nice, but I will never go back for any service. read more

I have been trying for a month to buy a car from this dealership. I saw the car on their own website at what I thought was a good price. I took a day off and drove the car, and decided to buy it. The salesman came back from his managers office, only to tell me that the best price he could offer me was 25% more. Yes the advertised price was a good price, but they wanted 25% more. Then I asked about the advertised lease price. That came back almost double what it was advertised for on their own website. I have received calls from other sales people asking if I still was interested. I gave them screenshots of the first car, and another car I would be interested in. Tynan's is officially the worst dealership ever!!! I get a payoff from them on Saturday. I let them know, I just made a payment online and they say, reduce the payoff by $265.43. That payment is still going through the system. The dealership I traded with goes to get the payoff and they try to increase the payoff with a fair market value plus fees etc and want to try to collect $915 more. I even got notification yesterday from Matt Shope's in finance that if VW tries anything that goes against this payoff quote, he will let the other dealership work with them so the added fees are not included and nobody is penalized. After being emailed by the service department that they would take care of all my service needs in my brand new VW, after my recent relocation to the Aurora area, I went in to this location and was also told they would take care of my car under the warranty. After leaving my car with them they called me an hour later and told me it would be x amount of dollars to repair because I didn't buy the car from them. Another hour went by and I was called again and asked if I could come back and drive my car into the shop due to none of their techs feeling confident in using an ignition interlock. I negotiated a price with internet sales department on a new Volkswagen and then went to the dealership to test drive it on a Thursday. I got passed to a different sales person and he gave me a price about $2k higher than I had negotiated. In addition, I was offered almost nothing on my trade, due to a repair that I was aware of. The salesman quoted about $1,500 more for the repair than I had received from another VW dealership. I already felt like the sales guy was trying to take advantage of me, so this just made it worse. The price and trade got worked out so we decided to buy it. The new car needed a repair before we could take it and I was assured that it would be ready by Monday. Monday afternoon at 3:30 I received a text stating that the service department needed to order a part and wouldn't be in until Thursday. I called John Tynan, left a message and got a call back from Service, guess John was too busy with other customers to call me himself. The service person I talked to told me he thought it would be ready on Wednesday. Got a call from service on Wednesday morning that the repair was done and it was going to get detailed. John Tynan then called and said it would be ready to get picked up by noon. It would have a full detail and full take of gas. My wife got there at 3:30; the car was not cleaned and the tank was empty. After another hour + the car was done. John's solution was to give my wife a key chain and coffee mug. Although Tynan's offered me a good initial price, the poor customer service and lack of follow through made this a terrible experience. If you are shopping for a new VW, don't work with Tynan's. the Manager whose name is on the sign outside is showing his staff how not to handle customers!! All I can say is WOW what service! I recently bought a Certified Pre-Owend used Jetta from Tynan's for really good price and really really really good loan and interest rate. Had the car for a little under a month and the battery was dieing. I took it in to Tynan's service department and right way I got service. I talked to Tom at the service desk and they sent out a mechanic to test my battery, it was indeed dieing. Tom then told me the the COP warranty did not cover the battery, and then I was instructed my my dealer Kurt who was in St. Louis at the time (Fantastic person by the way) to talk to Denise, A few minutes later Tom came back and told me that the BRAND NEW BATTERY was FREE and installation was on the house. 5 stars are not enough in my opinion, Tynan's and there Staff deserve a WHOLE GALAXY OF STARS!! Terrible experience with the people in the service department. It took them 4 hours to tell me a fuse was blown. 4 hours for a fix that takes 1 minute, ridiculous. Also, I had to ask for the status of my vehicle twice because the employees were too busy playing on their phones and figuring out what they wanted for lunch to be proactive in helping their customers.
